I have three questions: Is there any maintenance on these? what pipes are you guys running? and do they have reverse? thanks in advannce

1. Yes, basically all RC need maintenance, for the off road RC it is considerably more. However as they are 1/5 scale it is easier, because the part is bigger and easy to handle. After all HPI Baja are known for their easy to tune/maintain ability.

2. Wait for them to answer.

3. Nitro and Gas engine RC don't have reverse (that what I know of), only motor/electric RC can run backward. This can be tackled by converting Baja into electric RC (see castlecreation . com)

These are not truggies these are trophy or stadium/baja trucks a truggy is a monster truck with a low center of gravity with a wing on the back for down force. Most Savages and Traxxes trucks were turned into those things back in the days i'd say around 2001 when the name truggy was created I guess?

Personally I'd go with the 5B, but the T tends to roll back onto it's wheels better and the shell certainly protects it better, but at £150 a pop those shells will cost ya.

5t for 1 reason its a truggy witch means youl have more fun and the durability is better since the body covers it all.

It's not a truggy. Truggies have open wheels like the traxxas rustler or the associated t4. The 5t is a short course or trophy truck.

@vivitron78 the rustler is a stadium truck not a truggy truggys have there own style such as 4wd, a wing, and a low slung design

@mxf7010g8k i have the same indicision over here mate, but i've been told that a 4x4 version of the 5T will be hitting the shelves soon. it's a KM T2000. so i'm thinking buggy for now, then a 4x4 5T ;)

The only difference is the Hull and the Wheels.

Baja 5B got 23cc engine, original. Baja 5T got 26cc engine, original. Hull and Wheels isn't the only difference..
