It's quite disconcerting that a superb talent such as Dessay does not get as much publicity as the centerfold of Opera-Lite-Meets-MTV Anna Netrebko. The former can sing superbly, while the latter seems to make up for her flawed singing by flaunting her physique without any class.
Totally agree. But I think that such a great artists as Dessay don't need much publicity. They are popular among true music lovers, this is more important.
@TheInquisitive4Ever I do prefer Dessay to Netrebko, but Netrebko has a beautiful voice and I CAN'T IMAGINE Natalie speaking about her in the way that you do. Remember too, that Natalie is a lot older, is hugely intelligent, works like a dog (her words) and did have training in acting and dance before beginning to sing. As for Netrebko being "without any class"... think about it. Would Anna Netrebko have EVER said anything like what you said, about anybody? Netrebko has a lot of class IMHO
YEAH. Oh my God. She's so amazing. Still, you can hear some French coloring in her German--especially her 'r's--and a slight American inflection on some of her vowels in English. Not that it matters haha.
