  • awesome video

  • @MegaCodgod99 Thank you I'm glad you enjoyed it.

  • Does bantams doing good with regluar sizes chickens?

  • @oscarfight I haven't seen any problems at all. They were raised together from the time they were day old chicks so maybe that was a help.

  • @dalecalder2003 Awesome. I have 7 older hens, we re getting 21 new chicks this April. we getting 6 differents breeds of chickens, most of them will be hens, and only one rooster. its a golden sebright bantam rooster.. also hens come with him. and some differents kind of hens

  • Thank you for sharing your flock. Your girls look happy and healthy.

  • @Naladelion You are welcome. They do seem to be very happy. Now that winter is here the large white one Matilda has decided to go broody and I can't seem to talk her out of it. LOL

  • What a wonderful flock you have. What a great narration voice, you sound like the actor Alexander Scourby.

  • @mrbluto3 Thank you.

  • So funny to see Mathilda jumping in the bushes, she seems very active!! Anyways Dale, you surely have some very stylish chicken, they look amazing! Always a pleasure to see them doing their little chicken things~Lovely!

  • @fleursdegigi All four of the little Bantam Hens are very active and seem to stick together, safety in numbers I guess.

  • I've seen your comments on a lot of videos I watch. I just watched one of jihadacadien's videos and saw you comment so I clicked on your name to check out a video you put up. Nice video. I'm gonna subscribe because you have nice videos, not because my name is also Dale and my mother's name was Martha LOL

    Dale

  • @mediamaker2000 LOL That's funny. Thank you for subscribing and the comment. I have a problem with my account and I no longer get notification of new subscribers so it is great to hear from one and to be able to thank you, glad you enjoy the videos.

  • Cool, LOved the white one that was jumping

  • @jihadacadien That's Matilda and she is jumping to eat the last of the dried currants from that bush. They have eaten all of the lower ones now they have to jump to get the higher ones.

  • thanks for that ,i dont have any yet .so thank you for sharing yours.they are so much fun.all the best

  • @cooper68ns They are a lot of fun plus eggs....bonus. LOL

  • Matilda is a jumper, Prince Leah is looking handsome, Ginger is looking more and more like the Ginger from the movie Chicken Run and Martha looks like she is an athletic chicken. :)

  • @DCARA06 All that entertainment and they work for chicken feed.

  • Silver Sebright Bantam seems to be a nice size maybe for the city area where I live.. Maybe this spring I will setup and start raising chickens.

  • @TodaySurvive They are a very small bird and you could keep several in a relatively small area. There also is a golden Sebright, same black markings on golden feathers. Try to find a breeder that will sell young adult birds so you can be sure you are getting pullets and not roosters. Most hatcheries will only sell bantams as straight run, because they are very hard to sex when they first hatch.

  • Thank you so much for the chicken vid. I love chickens and had a dozen ornamental bantams for several years. Enough that now I miss them far too much and it has been over three years I' ve been without them.

  • @vintageozarks Thank you. I went for almost 20 years without hens and just couldn't take it any longer, I missed them so much. I'm so glad that I have a little flock again.

  • adorable Dale, they have to be the busiest animals always foraging and bug eating.. Love how the white (Matilda) jumps up to I would suppose a bug in the bush...LOL

  • @dianemummvideos Thank you. They are thrilled with all of the fall leaves to explore in, evidently there is really good hunting under the leaves. That was a red currant bush that Matilda was jumping under. I didn't use the currants this year and fed them a lot of the fresh ones in the summer. The bush still has a lot of dried currants on it and they have eaten all of the lower ones now they are jumping to get the ones higher up.

  • Lovely chickens you have Dale, wish I could have a larger garden and chickens but I live in a codo so a get great pleasure in watching your chickens

  • @khtboston Thank you I'm glad you enjoy them. They are a great source of joy to me.

  • Oh wow , I had no idea that you let them free range . Great Idea ! I have a great name for a hen if you ever get another one -"Birtha Butt " LOL .

  • @selfreliantboy Unfortunately they only get to free range when I'm able to be with them because a lot of people don't tie their dogs around here and we have too many hawks and eagles. I try to find time for at least an hour per day. Next year I want to build a moveable pen with a roof so they can be on fresh grass for a longer period every day. They love to explore especially now that there are all of the fall leaves to dig through.
