Great tutorial. I do want to point out that it's not really required to put "void" in the parenthesis of the main function: " int main() { } "

"Void" is normally used when creating defined functions such as the void function and value returning functions. "Void" can be used as a "function prototype" and a "function header". The function prototype comes before the "int main()" function and the "function header" normally follows after the "int main()" function. Still, this is a great video.

I also learned that the parenthesis, is a stand-alone vital peice of the code that allows it to be read properly.

LOl you mention .bat BAT is used by a program called cmd.exe and from there the .bat file is passed on into cmd.exe and executes the specified command.

cmd.exe was written in c++,c++ is used for games ,c++ is used for operating systems the possibility's are endless.

When I push "Start Without Debugging" the above code in my Visual Studio 2008, I get a message "The project is out of date, do you want to build it?" And then after pressing Yes, I get "There were build errors, would you like to continue and run the last successful build?". Once again, I get an error message that says "Unable to start program hello world.exe. The system cannot find the path specified." Can you please tell me what the problem is?

Look up information on FLTK. It's a C++ graphics library with some pretty good GUI facilities.

It actually requires a great deal of expertise to make a cross-platform C++ GUI program. But, with a few libraries and some detailed instructions to get you started, you can bring graphics and GUI programming down to the intermediate level.

i would recommend using CodeBlocks from codeblocks(dot)org (the version with mingw included)
