Stratosphere guitars were made on Booneville Avenue in Springfield, Missouri. A lot of guys played them, but very few worked out the special tuning of the 12 string. Most of the guys sawed off off the 12 string neck and played just the six string neck. Jimmy Bryant was way ahead of his time. A guitar genius if there ever was one.
Good for Deke, I say! Trust him to gather up this fine talent and showcase it for us to enjoy. Authentic music played on great vintage instruments. It really doesn't get much better than this!
The song is the impossible-for-normal-humans-to-play "Stratosphere Boogie" originally by Jimmy Bryant and Speedy West. And performed on a original Stratosphere guitar no less!
TK and JW have this stuff nailed down! Thankyew!!
