  • ok the state ment at 0:44 im a little unsure about, the Lithosphere includes the crust and is not a part of the mantle. It is seperated from the mantle by the moho. The mantle is comprised of the Asthenosphere and upper and lower mantle.

  • @GeoUG I would further modify this by stating that the upper portion of the mantle IS part of the lithosphere. The Lithosphere consists of the entire crust plus the upper part of the mantle. The asthenosphere is a weak zone within the mantle. The majority of the mantle lies below the asthenosphere and is often called the "mesoshere".

    It is important to note that the earth's layers are divided based on both composition and physical properties, and that the boundaries do not alway coincide.

  • The Eath's core is about the same or almost the volume of Mars (about 74 billion cubic miles). The Earth's inner core is less than 1% of it's volume.
