River Phoenix obviously had a lot of deep seeded inner demons from his childhood. I think his weird parents had a lot to do with it. How they lived all over, changed their names, lived in a religious cult for a while, and he said he was introduced to sex at at very young age and how he wasn't interested in that until later, like normal teenagers.
