Unfortunately though many department regulations prohibit an officer from freedom of thought anymore and now dictate every minute of their day as they strip away their discretion in all manner of law enforcement and life. Then you have to deal with citizens who are pissed off at you, the officer, instead of the real problem. The politicians and other officials making these regulations and stripping away what you thought was freedom one minute detail at a time.

There was this one time when me and my friend were bombing this gnarly hill and this guy, who we had seen earlier power walk down the hill, and start talking to us about skateboards back in his day. He was kinda fat (but was obviously doing something about it) and nerdy. He was around late 40's. He told us that he used to skate back in his day. It was pretty awesome. Don't stereotype old people, they had sick childhoods too. :)

Through personnal experience, I have found that most cops were pretty chill if you were chill with them, and that is coming from a guy who almost got hit by a security car last friday bombing trough a corner (was sketchy, I didn't see him coming and I was in a small cemetary path, he didn'T see me coming in the corner and we were going the same way (it was a T intersection))

Turned out me and my friends chatted with the guy for like 30 mins.

@12Jackman12 it's not the board. the board has little to do with it. it's just the rider mostly. i mean, the angles of the evo help make it so the back trucks don't turn as much as the front...but that can be done just by swapping out base plates. i've gone 52mph on a deity top mount with 42 base plates no problem.

@12Jackman12 it does make a difference, but it's mostly the angles that make it more stable. even though you didn't change your base plates, the angles of the evo change the angles of the trucks. so it's kinda like changing base plate angles. either way, it is a super stable board. i just got addicted to top mounts cuz my friends made me start riding them. now i feel more stable on a top mount. i just feel so much more connection to the road in turns.

I was watching some vids of Teutonia downhill and noticed some peoples trucks wobbling really bad and they ate it hard. You guys look like you have been doing this for a while so why do you still get them? Just the wrong choice of bushings for the setting? Wrong angle of skate trucks? Small dips in the road?

@dmgcat Lots of factors cause speed wobbles. Sketchy pavement, tired legs/ankles, even gusts of wind that throw you off balance. Not sure on the physics behind it, though.

@QuiggleLo sorry but 1, 3, 4 isn't really that good :) Putting most of the pressure on the fron truck is more stable. Test it while sitting on the board, sitting on the tail or on the nose.

Also, tightening your trucks isn't very smart. Looser truck, tighter tuck! ;) Get some harder bushings which makes the board less responsive instead :) Getting a thicker board... some people want their boards to be heavy, I don't. A STIFF board is good. Please don't take this the wrong way bro ;) <3

and i'm not saying 100% pressure on the front, but most of the pressure should be on the front, definitely not even pressure over both trucks, ask any downhill rider except for yourself then... :P

@QuiggleLo inmy experiance with speed boarding I find putting more weight over your front trucks in your tuck will make wobs much easier to control and will allow you to keep your back foot loose to control them if they occur. oh and actual DH experiance helps along with a little prayer
