Ya, the last hand I think I would have check, just b/c you had the flush draw out there and top pair.

If you only had top pair I would have bet out like you did, but you could have maybe got more chips out of him by checking b/c then he wouldn't be putting you on a J really on the turn.

If you turn out to be a skill full player you can make 100 of thousand of dollars and never half to worry about money again. On the other had you can lose a few 1000 bucks tryings.... It not that big of deal to lose money like i sayed it wat you lose.

If your betting your house, car or living expenses then you have problem. But betting a few month salary on a skill game can be very smart.

You're dumb. It's highly exploitable if you only cbet when weak, and check when strong. Since he'd cbet air/mediocre hands 80-90% of the time, he'll make more $ by cbetting very strong hands as well.

peg420420, listen to his reason -- he bets out "small" to make it look like he's trying to buy the pot, HOPING his headsup opponent shoves with a lower pair or two overs, thinking he's ahead, of course he would call that shove being at least a 55% favorite, possibly more vs. just 2 overcards.

if you check, usually headsup he would check back, and if the heart or a low card comes you HAVE TO bet and he will fold. if a non-heart Q+ comes then you are basically screwed.

So BET the flop.

what he means gaud123 "20 big blinds" is in reference to his chipstack for example if blinds are 15/30 and you have 1500 in chips that means your chips are equal to 50 big blinds and lets say you increase your stack to about 3245 and blinds are 200/400 now you have approximately 8 big blinds which is really bad and it means you either took some bad hits or were playing a little too tight its usually good to know how big your stack is in blinds

Sure there is skill involved, but from playing pokerstars for a year now, I find that it all comes down to luck. If you've got the luck you'll win if not your fucked. Position and notes and timing play a big factor but all in all it comes down to the shit luck that you get from bad beat jokerstars.
