Notice two officials with perfect position at 1:20 - 1:22 for the ND sideline run for a TD. Both refs never called for the step out of bounds. The replay on this vid did not show the sideline cam angle which confirmed he stayed INBOUNDS. The replay in this vid show like he may have stepped out but is it "conclusive"??? Hardly. Well it was only a 4 point matter anyway.. oops.. I guess that was the difference.
I wasn't expecting to get that overturned, either (frankly, to me, it looked like there wouldn't have been enough to overturn regardless of which way it might have been called initially). I think it's because the replay official couldn't see any green between Allen's shoe and the white of the sideline.

That was because 2 seconds dissappeared from the clock between the kickoff play and ND's final play. Rack that up with the mysterious overturned TD and others and the guys in stripes contributed about as much to the Mich win as Forcier.
the 2 seconds disappeared because Notre Dame's return man touched the ball before it went out the back of the endzone.
and those 2 seconds wouldn't have done shit anyway. Clausen is great but without Floyd what little chance they would have to score in those final 9 seconds were gone.

Coming from an ND fan, I see Forcier having great potential as a QB playing for Rick. Great precision, pivotal in the clutch and great scrambler. Could be a contender for the hiesman in his Jr.

Maybe ESPN should watch this highlight video of Forcier and stop all the talk about Barkley, cause Tate is way better as a freshman QB. ESPN is a bunch of asskissing hollywood lovin' assclowns. refs screw every game up. michigan got and has been screwed by them too.
-the refs didn't cause ND's special teams to have shitty coverage
-the refs didn't cause ND to choke on Michigan's last drive
-the refs didn't cause the fumble or the missed field goal
when you have to blame the refs for a game, then you already don't deserve to win.

hey... i'm a Michigan fan, and the refs took a TD away from ND. In the first half they threw a screen to #5 and he took it for the score, but the refs ruled him out of bounds, when he wasn't. Michigan game through in crunch time, but that was a iffy call...

No sadly the truth was your coach and players fucked up big time. ND probably would've won if Cheeseburger Weis didn't decide to call PASSING plays with under 2 min to go in the game, up by 3. Let's hope for the sake of this rivalry that Kelly knows how to coach a team...regardless how mediocre of a team they have fielded for the last 15 years or so

Notice two officials with perfect position at 1:20 - 1:22 for the ND sideline run for a TD. Both refs never called for the step out of bounds. The replay on this vid did not show the sideline cam angle which confirmed he stayed INBOUNDS. The replay in this vid show like he may have stepped out but is it "conclusive"??? Hardly. Well it was only a 4 point matter anyway.. oops.. I guess that was the difference.

I wasn't expecting to get that overturned, either (frankly, to me, it looked like there wouldn't have been enough to overturn regardless of which way it might have been called initially). I think it's because the replay official couldn't see any green between Allen's shoe and the white of the sideline.

Not seeing green between shoe and white is not "conclusive" evidence. It has to be obvious that the refs on the field were mistaken. And thats my point.

That was because 2 seconds dissappeared from the clock between the kickoff play and ND's final play. Rack that up with the mysterious overturned TD and others and the guys in stripes contributed about as much to the Mich win as Forcier.

the 2 seconds disappeared because Notre Dame's return man touched the ball before it went out the back of the endzone.
and those 2 seconds wouldn't have done shit anyway. Clausen is great but without Floyd what little chance they would have to score in those final 9 seconds were gone.
