  • 747 dash 8?so the - in 747-8 should be pronounced?

  • @Theairplaneguy4ever Clearly its a hybrid of the Bombardier Dash 8 and the 747 :D

  • boeing > airbus :P

  • funny how people are comparing the looks rather than the functions and capabilities of each aircraft. Worse, people are actually comparing Apple products with aircrafts. :/

  • boening is an amazing company

  • looks like 747 400 cokcpit

  • @titanicbuilder927 it kinda is.

  • I hope to fly this one day. Really hoping the airline I work for upgrades to this. Currently fly the 747-4. And I can say that the only other aircraft that might be better than that could be the 747-8. :)

  • @jonstewartforprez cool! are you a pilot?

  • @JamesZhengyang Yes sir. 0:20 is my office!

  • Only cut off the fuel supply to 3 engines? No wonder BA aren't buying it.

  • @N330AA Im sure BA will buy some 747-8. BA is the airline with the biggest 747 fleet that means many BA 747 pilots. BA ordered 25 A380's but im sure that after LH makes his first 747-8i flight many ex 747-400 airlines will be buying new 747-8. it easier to pass from a 747-400 to a 747-8 than 747-400 to A380.

  • @kekecom Almost no chance of BA getting the 748I. Sorry. Airlines can't justify introducing the new fleet type for an outdated aircraft. The 773ER and A380 and going forward the A350 have killed it.

  • @N330AA are you saying that the 747-8 is an outdated aircraft??... i don't think so. the 747-8 is a big fuel effency aircraft. What i hate is that all airlines are buying these ugly shit aircrafts (a380, 787, a350). The 747's are beautifull aircrafts and i LOVE Lufthansa to buy 20 -8 over 16 a380's.

  • @kekecom Actually the 787, 767, 777, 757, 727, 707, 737, 747, A300, A320, A330, and the A340 are all fairly good looking aircraft. My personal favorites are the A330, A300, 747, 757, 727, and 707.

But I agree, the A350 and the A380 are ugly as shit. Airbus needs to go back to the drawing board and try to utilize the classic A300 design that they used for the A330 and A340. "It's as much aesthetics as it is functionality", to quote the late Steve Jobs.

  • @ClaymoreQuickScoper totally agree!

  • @ClaymoreQuickScoper I agree, but an iPad deosn't have to do mach 0.86 does it?

  • @Neutrinoghost Only if it's running X-Plane. :D

  • @N330AA I mean it's really really sad that we will never see a BA 747 again if what you are saying is true.

  • @kekecom I agree it's a good looking aircraft. It is ultimately an outdated airframe though. That's why it's not selling very well. Airlines are in the business to make money and not to serve plane spotters.

  • @mathur63 You're an idiot. No offense. Those are flight analysis computers that analyze aircraft parameters and performance. It's pretty clear that they aren't IFE systems as soon as you see them; note the vested Boeing technicians and the large towers that the computers are housed in.

  • It's amazing too see how much it's behind A380. But never the less...it's a great airplane!

  • I still feel safer on good old 747 with 50 yrs of best safety record in aviation history.

While new and fad A380 start appearing cracks on wings in multiple A380 in such

short a period of times since coming into service.

  • Great aircraft with very nice cockpit similar to the Boeing 777 cockpit

  • Awesome!

  • Now try and simulate a terror hijack

  • If it ain't Boeing, I ain't going !!

  • Pretty soon the entire cockpit will be nothing more than a usb port to plug in your laptop.. LOL! :P

  • I love Boeing :)

  • Boeing did an AMAZING job with this aircraft!

  • interessante

  • 747-8i is glass cockpit

  • Very, very good. I knew nothing of this.

  • My dream is just to fly anything, actually i already can fly Cessna 172 but now i want to level up until i reach the jets. Next step is probably a Piper Matrix 1 unless i want to go more far and take a long Fokker 50 lesson.

  • @Boeing747type8 You dont want to just fly anything, make a goal, trust me. Thats very good that you want to become a pilot. Keep flying and get good grades and you will have it made :)

  • A380 is bigger and more efficient.

  • I hope that the Boeing guys are not so dumm that they want to compete with this bird against the A 380 from Airbus.

  • Let the imperialist americans fly Boeing, for those who are still free from Usrael, they can buy Airbus, Ambraer, or Russian planes.

  • @3MostHolyTrinity3 you are a faggot

  • Can a 747-400 pilot fly this jet with out training , I mean , the training is important but that is not what I mean , I mean like if he was on-board a 747-8 as a passenger , and the pilots are gone , can he land the plane safely if you was a 747-400 pilot ? ( Captain or first officer ) ?

  • @killmuster Yes he sure, there aren't huge differences between the two in terms of piloting

  • Man I love the new cut for the back of the engine. It's just such a simple design, but it looks so damn cool.

  • I WOULD LOVE TO WORK FOR BOEING ONE DAY

IT IS MY SELF FUFFILING ASPIRATION

    HAPPY SKIES TO ALL :)

  • be American, buy Amercian! Fly Boeing!

  • I think that that cockpit is the same as the -400. Except that the backup display is digital.

  • 747 has been proven since the early 70's and this is the latest product..all thought out and safe. I'd take this anyday over an A380. Not saying the A380 is bad, but it was done hastly....

  • do they check like this every plane, or only the first "prototype"?

  • @sabatonchik Only a few. They test anywhere up to 15 all different sorts of ways. But every time Boeing researchers, and produces a new airplane, they put the whole company on the line because of how much it costs to do that type of stuff.

  • i love those sexy engines!!!! <3

  • Georgeous airplane. I think that the A380 is the ugliest airliner in the sky.

  • @imflyer777 & FutureFlightDream go for it !! May your dream come true. B bless.

  • the aircraft can take anything that is thrown at it.. very nice!

  • Flying city @ 560 miles/hr, 250 ft x 225 ft spread......carrying 975 K LBS is a complete turn on!!! Raked wing tips adds lot of glamour to the Dreamliner. Excellent combination of an art and capacity!!!

  • Easy to do all these failure tests when on the ground. How come they didn't perform such test in 33,000 ft.?.

  • I herd this one will be Hauling bread lobster rolls

  • While the A380 is impressive and superhuge, the 747 is simply gorgeous. 747 aircrafts are still my favorite planes.

I love travelling by plane, and I want to travel once with an A380, and with this new 747.

  • the two dislikes are from airbus

  • autopilot input not in digital form?

  • i don't care about the a380 any 747 will be always better

  • @therockchannel100 I AGREE WITH U,IF IT IS NOT BOEING,I AM NOT GOING!

  • haha boeing is such a cool company, they actually have their offices set up in the cabin, everything is going on in the plane.

  • This guy has flown over my house. Awesome looking plane.

  • I wouldn´t have probably shut down 3 out of 4 engines. That's too much of a risk if the remaining engine decides to quit. I am not sure whether insurance would cover such an event.

  • @AtlantisB737 The plane was on the ground.

  • @madisonelectronic you're right I was doing so many things at the same time I never realized the plane stayed on the ground....thank you.

  • Now we know what Flanders does for a job :-)

  • This is why the 747 continues to be the King of the Sky. Tried, tested and true... Unlike another new school "jumbo" which shall remain nameless.

  • 747 has been upgraded since the first model came out in the late 60's, that's why i'd rather fly this beauty, than the all new A380..which allready had an engine explosion.

  • @barthoedemaker I don't like the A380 but understand any engine problems are no failure by Airbus. Airbus doesn't make or even pick the engines.

  • i thought the flight deck would be pretty much the same as the 787...

  • 747

    "you're not new

    you're not old

you're just sexyyyyyy as always !!!

  • Comment removed

  • @cairns65 okay, thanks for the info

  • Boeing 747-8 INERCONINENAL 0:03

  • Is that what the flight deck is going to look like? I was expecting a 787 style flight deck!

  • beutiful plane amezing machine

  • The 747-8 chief pilot sounds like a computer talking....LOL I love boeing though. Man I love that company!!!!

  • Thanks infro. my friend, very good

  • It looks similar to the 747-400 cockpit.. Could you tell me what's the different between them?

  • @imflyer777 The 747-8 is the third-generation Boeing 747 version, with lengthened fuselage, redesigned wings and improved efficiency. The new 747-8i has more and improved lcd's in the cockpit also. The 747-8F can accommodate 154 tons (140 tonnes) of cargo. To aid loading and unloading, it features an overhead nose-door. It has 16 percent more payload capacity than the 747-400F and can hold seven additional standard air cargo contain.

  • @FutureFlightDream thanks for the info... this is a great video anyway!! ^_^

  • @FutureFlightDream So il the cockpit, just new screens?

  • @FutureFlightDream Wrong Its about 8 version.

  • @FutureFlightDream

I see that the switches on the overhead panel have been changed by push buttons but stuff like the MCP is still analog they could have made it digital. Does it have FBW ?

    Thanks.

  • @FutureFlightDream hey man i love your vids

  • @FutureFlightDream So basically nothing has changed in the cockpit you mean?... Haha

  • @FutureFlightDream Nice try selling a 747-8. What he found weird is that the cockpit looks exactly the same as the -400. With all the Boeing sponsored talk you spewed out, his question is still unanswered ;)

  • @imflyer777 The cockpit is supposed to share common tech with the 787. Not sure to what extent.

  • @imflyer777 i can't really tell either. but i think it's better to keep the cockpit layout similar to the other 747s so pilots don't have to do extreme training just to change planes.

  • @imflyer777 idk probably the systems, internat computers

  • @imflyer777 I belieeeve the winsheild wipers are approximatley 3 sixteenths of an inch longer.

  • I wish that I can fly the "queen" in the future...

  • @imflyer777 I wish to also my friend

i hope we can both accomplish our dreams and soar the skys

  • @FutureFlightDream yeah lets "rock" the sky!!

  • @FutureFlightDream I wish to fly the 747-400 the most, but I don`t mind the 8s so much. I don`t know why but out of the whole 747 family I fell in love with the 400 series

  • @averredude101 Same i think the 744 attracks me more than the 8. I have no idea why tbh^^

  • @MisterKams yeah it must be the winglets, they are so sexy, along with the engines XD

  • @FutureFlightDream & imflyer777 - nothing can stop dreams. Work hard at math & physics and achieve aviation dream! Good luck!

  • @imflyer777 747-8's the king.. A380 is a Joker.

  • @imflyer777 YES U WILL AND BE PROUD OF BOEING,THANKS 4 ALL THOSE WHO PUT EFFORT 2 MANUFACTURE THAT AMAZING MACHINE AND,GOD BLESS BOEING!
