  • i've always wondered if this laugh came out of him the same when he was in the early years of the who... i mean like when keith was aged between 17 to say 23, if he laughed like this too .... that laugh and the way he looked back then just don't add up it boggles me o.o... but his voice pretty much was the same throughout his adult years well that is when he wasn't putting on an accent ..... love him x)

  • This should have a million views

  • You just know that they got on well with each other.

  • What;s this from?

  • @modladd the kids are alright - rockumentary

  • @arealOpia1991 Cheers mate.

  • Oh Moonie. <3

  • I fall in love with Pete Townshend every time I see this clip.

  • This took place after Pete Townsend went 80 percent def from Keith moon filling his base drum with fireworks in one of their shows.

  • @DrewsAnimation Yes, but this seems to be circa 1975 I think, and that incident happened like a decade earlier.

  • @Jav0889 nah look at keith moon. keith was still slim in 75. he didnt put on wieght till later so this has to be later than 75

  • @bigmatt9494 No I think this is either 77' or 78'. Keith used to grow beards back that and he looks so fat (no offense to him). And that drum explosion kit was in 1967. And I didn't know thast: Pete went 80% deaf. Wow.

  • terrible faith ! Pete said that he become death !

  • @lipiarskisteve oh wow. please use a better translator! He did not die

  • i love these two together

  • Only vid to see so many thumbs up and no down... might put one on to be a dick... long live the looney moon!

  • Tu parles très bien français ! Il y a just quelques petites fautes mais les explications sont très claires ! La video est vraiment très drôle ! Hahahahah ! Very funny !

  • Merci pour les explications !! ^^

  • Does someone here can speak French and translate me the video please ?

    I'm a 15 French who fan and and I didn't understand this video ...

    Thanks ! ;)

  • @Lambretta2244 Learn English, Dummy. It isn't that hard.

  • BECOME A PAUPER!

    STARVE!!!

  • love this video! just like me and my mate! (except we aren't rock stars just a couple of working class bums!)

  • I don't think I've ever heard Keith Moon talk this is great!!!

  • @elviscash56 really??? haha

  • It was Pete who always used to edge Keith on to do many of the things he did

  • Keith moon was awesome. God I wish he were alive today!

  • oh man

  • I like the fact that they are regular human beings talking and having fun.

  • Keith the sexiest rock star ever

  • 0:17 Throw his career out the window, become a pauper, STARVE!

    LOL

  • i like that tank keith is wearing...I want one

  • I saw this again and again and again..!!! xD I love keith :)

  • Keith is so cute

  • it was keith that cause pete`s hearing problem when he put to much gun powder in his bass drum it exploded i front a pete ear watch vid pete hair was blown over on one side. being in the who came with danger. its very funny though

  • If there was only one way to laugh, it would be the Keith Moon way

  • what i found sad about this video, is that pete and keith are/were the same age, and yet, while pete looks so young and alive in this video, Keith looks so, aged, and sickly. While he remains one of the best rock drummers of this era, and best characters ever to be thrown in front of the media, to see him, but a few years before his death is... sad. It reminds me of how much greater he could have been, had he been able to hold his shit together

  • @can8ionslutwezal No one gives a fuck about what you found sad. Shit happens. And life goes on.

  • @heyitsmefags No one gives a fuck that you don't give a fuck, sir.

  • @can8ionslutwezal Yeah, he was about to go sober.

  • @can8ionslutwezal

Actually Pete is a little older, and that makes your point even more.

  • @5jerry1 older but by less than a year.

  • Bill Curbishley. The Who's manger. x

  • @WhoAre1You No the promoter is not Bill Graham. Pete adopts a very strong English accent/dialect whereas Billy Graham is American.

  • I guess Pete doesn't deserve a capital P

  • keith laugh is so funny

  • This is totally cool. Those were the days!

  • A false laugh really.

  • @mulcajbm oh sorry, was unware u have a degree in laughing...

  • keith has the best laugh ever X)

  • Pete and Keith were seriously funny .. I would love to hear a boxset of them getting drunk together! There's a Derek and Clive quality there.

  • @wheez123 That's what I've always said. They were a great, unharnessed comedy team.

  • sembra che stiano imitando la voce di ROGER

  • I fucking miss the shit outa keith moon

  • LOL hilarious! I love 'em both :)

  • what are they talking about lol

  • @jaqua524

Pete says he went with Bill Curbishly to the doctor to get his ears tested, and Keith is saying "Terrible, terrible ears," laughing about it. The doctor said Townshend's hearing is damaged and Curbishly asked the doctor if Pete should give up, and throw his career out the window. The doctor suggested learning to lip read, and that's what Keith is laughing at in the video.

  • Pete has a great John Cleese voice.

  • Keith laughing = adorable!!! -3

  • Legends

  • good quality, looks recent.

  • yess i love moons laugh...I just loooovee Keith in general can't get enough of him!!!

  • this is hilarious. pete got his ears tested... horrible ears. i think 'bill' is bill graham, the promoter. he asks the doctor for advice on what pete should do. the doctor (my favourite impression) advises pete to learn how to lip read. moonie really seems to get a kick out of pete's doctor impression. he chuckles before pete finishes the sentence.

  • Band mates are irreplaceable! God bless all the brothers whom I have lost and have left this earth, for they have moved on to another gig!@

  • That's a great moment between two music legends and friends

  • kEITH was so awesome

  • hahaha I love Pete! he's so funny!. and keith's laugh is so amazing :)

  • So, I'm guessing they're talking about Roger?

  • @willruddock way off , he's telling keith bout the time after the drumkit explosion that he was telling the road manager he was thinking bout getting his ears checked in which keith replied, well I would advise him to learn to lipread

  • On the Quadrophenia tour, Roger was ranting on Pete's songs on the Quadrophenia album, so Pete got pissed and hit Roger with his guitar. The roadies pulled him back and Pete called Roger a cunt. And then Roger got REALLY pissed and punched Pete in the face, knocking him instantly out cold. Pete's opinion of Roger was always negative, obviously. Oh, and I read about that little fight in a Pete biography.

  • ROFLWMNG

  • ROFLWMNG

  • the laugh of Keith is too funny :D

  • Excellent thanks for posting...

  • Me favorite glimpse of Pete & Keith.

  • Keith's laugh is remarkably contagious. XD

  • Haha, Keith is such a goof. He's like my friend Keith, WOAH HOLY SHIT. I just realized they have the same name. Anyway, I have this friend named Keith, and his psychotically weird/goofy. I think it comes from insecurity and a craving for attention, and I'm guessing Keith Moon was a bit like that.

  • more likely Roger was still under contract with Talmy, and Talmy (and/or the band) didn't want to be completely rid of him. clashing with Roger kept the tension and creativity going, except when Roger slugged Keith.

  • whatever Roger's differences with the band were, this had nothing to do with why they kicked him out, and he was asked to return within a month; this event was at least six months before MG was released

  • somewhere in all this, problems developed between Roger and everyone else. i heard Pete's accounts of Roger at various times in their history, a like-hate of him back and forth, so it wasn't always "bleedin' brawler, always givin' blokes some fives" .

  • ah, stink. well, first off, Pete came into The Detours at the request of John, which was already Roger's band. The Detours went through some personnel changes, name changes and management changes. vids of The High Numbers show Pete and Roger weren't always fighting. their new management (Kit and Chris) put Pete as new bandleader and head songwriter.

  • That is the PERFECT video of two drunk band mates chatting!

  • nice.

i think there was always some good underlying chemistry between Pete and Roger, but they were just too proud and boyish (girlish?) to admit it until John passed on,

even when they were beating each other up.

  • Good chemistry between Pete and Roger? The two of them hated each other! John's death definitely brought them closer, but it took that to bring the two of them together. That's how much they disliked one other. I think Roger was largely ostracized and alone during the majority of his time with the Who. He didn't get the other three, and the other three didn't really get him.

  • Roger was a working class guy, the Who for him was as much a way out of poverty and obscurity as it was a band. Pete and John were not that. They weren't "toughs" from the rough neighborhoods of industrial England. Pete in particular was the inquisitive, insightful, sensitive artiste. And John had a side of him that was like that as well. Keith was sort of this crazy goofball, probably a bit insecure, that just wanted to find a place where he could be his crazy self.

  • So it's no wonder they clashed with Roger. They probably thought Roger was a brute who didn't understand their humor, their art, or them, and felt that he was to some degree just muscling his way into the band; maybe Pete even felt Roger was using him, appropriating his artistic vision to make a career for himself. Roger probably thought they were arrogant, pretentious, "art freak" type wimps. Hell, they'd kicked Roger out of the band and only brought him back because My Generation became a hit.

  • Have to put in, Roger at least did not hate Pete. At the end of Amazing Journey: Story of the Who, he said he always loved him, whether they got along or not.

I remember an interview with Pete where he said he DID think Roger was just an idiotic tough guy who didn't actually understand the music.

Anyway, Pete said they got closer during the '96/97 Quadrophenia tour, so they were becoming good friends before John died.

    Just my two cents. :)

  • HOLY SHIT!

  • lol how Keith looked at Pete in the end and just started to laugh :D

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

  • hahaha "no but i'd advise him to learn to lip read" ahahahahahahahazaa

  • i have a shakey film of keith & Pete on GOOD MORNING AMERICA

  • One of my favorite non-music scenes from the movie.

  • what movie?

  • The Kids Are Alright.

  • It's always nice to see the guys in the Who having tender moments with eachother. I understand that Pete and Roger have grown closer since John's death

  • This is the way rock stars should be! they dont make them like Moon anymore.

  • ur absolutely right, modern music is crappy!!!!!!

  • they seem a little drunk, don't cha think?

  • OMG LOL

  • hahaha r.i.p. keith

  • i bet keith was a right laugh to hang out with

  • who was imitated pete?

  • He mentions "Bill", I assume that's their manager Billl Curbishley.

  • @highnumber13 yes! that bill!! i don't know why i thought they were talking about bill graham. BILL CURBISHLEY! it makes sense. this was after they got rid of kit & chris... who had developed a heroin addiction.

  • TOO funny! The impersonations are hysterical!

  • Moonie's laugh at the end is the best part. :P

  • Too right mate...funny as f**k!!

  • @515whofan905 Keith Moon had one of the best laughs ever!!!

  • Also fun to see the both of them quite tipsy =)

  • Loved The Kids Are Alright, best movie about the Who because of moments like this.

Random moments that show how the band really was with some great performances.

  • i need ot see this

lol keith looksliek he was fun to hang out with

  • "well actually no i would advise him to lip read" hahahahah PETE!!!!!!

  • 'Terrible Ears!!' Funny as hell

    RIP Keith

  • Haha from The Kids Are Alright, I've got that film

This is my fav part, I love Pete imitations! xD

  • damn i gotta see that movie already

  • Yes, you do. :-) The Kids Are Alright is one of the best rockumentaries ever.

  • @almargakira

I know this is an old post, but if you haven't seen it, "The Kids Are Alright" is an EXCELLENT movie, possibly the best rock film out there. You'll enjoy every moment of it.

  • Prime example of Pete and Keith's chemistry.

Keith was always like a little brother to Pete.

  • woah where did u find this, got any more of these? good stuff!!!

  • its from The Kids Are Alright
