the other train had to stop and didnt. thats why the other driver jumped out. he knew they were going to crash. the camera train had the right of way and thought at first that the other train was stopped. when you see someone launch out the window 11 feet up u know its gonna be bad.

Yes Gregrk7 Trains have air brakes. But in this case that is not what you hear. This train never had a chance to apply them. up till 0.38 seconds he had a green light. It was the oncoming trains fault. If you go to wide screen you can see where the bottom switch light turns red when the oncoming BNSF Engine passes the switch.  At 0.40 you can hear the door on this engine door slam. From this guy jumping too.

So, even if a train is moving slowly, if it's pulling a lot of carriages (& therefore has a lot of mass), it's equivalent - in terms of its momentum and stopping distance - to a smaller-length train that's moving much faster.

This is not fake. BNSF trains. The oncoming train (non camera) engineer fell asleep and when he woke up he couldnt stop his engine in time and ended up too far ahead so that the other train couldnt take the sidetrack. If you listen real carefully, you can hear the engineer of the camera train take his seatbelt off at :36. Im assuming he bailed out as well. Casey Jones baby!!
