i ve been scrapbooking since i was 17. i scrapbook becuse i don't wan't to forget i want to be able to look back and rember. hope fully at some point i will get started on finding out about my family history. but for now i'm working on my scrapbook of my high school year i have all the photo i could find but i can always add something else to the page or more info to the page. i wish i would of had more photos from when i was in middle school i have only found 5
I am new to scrapbooking and after I saw this I realized your right scrapbooking isn't about just stickers and paper but about your life and memories to keep forever~ :) thank you for sharing!
this was very inspiring! i agree scrapbooking is much more then stickers, etc. i love when i see other artist/crafters use other media with their projects, wire, metal, inks, water colors....looking forward to your future projects!
I know how you feel. I scrapbook everyday, not for the sake of scrapbooking, but for the sake of Creating2Remember....Everything I see and touch I think about scrapbooking it...Others think I am insane but I feel that it makes me and my day an interesting day.
I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this video and the way you made me think and realize not to ignore the everyday and open my mind!! It really was an aha moment for me! Also for some reason I don't tell others that I'm a scrapbooker because people that don't scrapbook don't get it - I tell them I do photography (which I do and love but its the two together that make me so so happy) I feel as though I'm keeping some deep dark secret that I have to hide because the way people view it? Thanks
Wow! Thanks for giving me an idea for making a video on the tube.I'm going to make a video about how to teach sea monkeys to jump over a toaster.LOL! Great video, and very inspiring. Now I'm off to find me some sea monkeys.
this is so good. i exited out by accident and if i did that with any other vids i would not re watch the beginning but for this one i had to rewatch it 3 times and i did not even care this was so beautiful
great stories. great art. great background music. oh, and great accent. great layers of art supplies. great light blue nails. great learning and growing by reflecting on everyday adventures! :)
You did an amazing job with this video! To be honest i was just looking around for some cool ideas for my scrapbook and seeing yours was 13 minutes long i fully intended to just skip through most of it. i ended up watching every second and really enjoying it. It was really inspirational and you are a great artist! Thanks for your scrapbooking wisdom :)
Thank you so much.. i felt as though you were talking right to me ... I was beginning to feel I was the only person in my town that loved to SB but now it really doesn't matter ... I am just doing wat I LOVE...
Wow, this was soo awesome and thought provoking. Thank you! You just made my hobby deep and meaningful. And I am excited to tell my stories and I never get tired of it but you gave me new creative inspiration. thank you!!!
Thank you to everyone who has watched, shared, liked or commented on this little video. I'm so happy to know there are other proud scrappers out there! I've really been overwhelmed by the response and I'm just very, very grateful to each of you who took the time to watch or respond. :)
A lovely video, thank you. The most startling thing about your video for me is that the cup you used to mix your paints instantly catapulted me back to my childhood - we had crockery like that and I haven't thought about it or seen it for years! x
@papoosue awww, that's lovely! i love vintage pyrex and have lots in both the kitchen and my scrap space. i keep my die cuts in a casserole dish and so forth. :) i'm always looking for the sets we had in my house as a kid - some day!
@shimellelaine It's an ongoing process - collecting, isn't it :) I must have still been thinking about it today...as I suddenly remembered a sauce boat in that design...which led to me thinking about the embroidered tablecloth...and so it goes. Enjoy that pyrex! xx
LOL @ seamonkeys jumping over toasters. Hmm. I'm not sure why anyone would be embarassed they scrapbook. It's wonderful, and a great outlet for creativity OR frustration.
I have such a hard time scrapbooking the everyday. I never quite know what to say. Thank you for this video. You put a new perspective on the everyday stories that need to be told. It's very inspiring - YOU'Re very inspiring. Thank you.
Shimelle, thank you so much for making this video! I love your style and how you make us think outside the realm of traditional sprapbooking. I loved your parting line and will definately be using it on a layout...."The everyday can be an adventure. May your adventure take you somewhere very happy." Love this, thank you - Shelly
