@terranovensissicanus You should be grateful that someone took the trouble to upload this marvellous video of Oistrakh instead of complaining about the editing. Why don't you show us what good editing is by uploading a video yourself?
The Romance for Violin and Orchestra No. 2 in F major, Op. 50 is a piece for violin and orchestra by Ludwig van Beethoven, one of two such compositions by Beethoven, the other being Romance No. 1 in G major, Op. 40. It was written in 1798, four years before the first romance, and was published 1805, two years later than the first. Hence, this piece was designated as Beethoven's second romance. It is one of Beethoven's most popular works.
Entrancing song, I absolutely love it, but it sounds MUCH better when played very slowly, and so far almost every video I've seen it's been played way too fast.
Actually, he did NOT change something after 6:18. rather an embarrasing mistake for me to make, when I'm shouting! He does a few minor changes to make it sound more flowing, during the double stopping at the beggining, but even. Menuhin has recordings where he changes things there. Yes you are right, he dosn't have to play it MY way. However, this might be the first thing that _I_ might put on youtubes of me playing, when I get it all worked out. This too, is best done, B4 talking about!
Sorry again! He DID change order of notes (after 6:18 ) , according to other versions. I got confused when I thought _I_ had been wrong. Unfortunately I don't know how to edite what I post on youtubes.
I still must corect it, so I don't trouble interested readers here with checking it out for nothing.
He has really changed at 6:20. It should be B-B-A-G#-F#-E-D#-E-F#-G and he played B-B-A-G#-E-D#-E-F-F#-G. I'm just not sure if it was a mistake or if he did it on purpose.
At least the audios good.ish.

I like how in the old times, improvisation wasn't a such a big thing.

isn't actually spelled with 2 L's?

gahstly mid section. All the staccato is a terrible idea.
And why he changes things, e.g. around 6:18 I JUST don't know.
I don't know if Oistrach likes this music a great deal. So why does he play it?

well he doesnt have to play your way

im not seeing any note changes there bro. The only thing i see is he kept going with the staccato right before the diminuendo at 6:30
