To be fair - I saw them live in Philly and they blew out the house system at the Trocedero. That hall hosts TONS of bands, and noone has ever blown out speakers before them. They as a band are probably demanding on the sound guys because they use such low end bass and yet distinct guitar riffs on top of cutting drums. Not easy - but thats what makes their sound so distinctive.
i like their long hair, the live performance of edgecrusher is good. just as good as in the album obsolete. this is one of my favorite song in the album.
You know what? I think that Christian is a pretty damn good guitarist. And Byron is a beast on bass. Dino's awesome, but he's not in Fear Factory anymore so stop complaining and just enjoy the music...and what's with complaining about the crowd? If you weren't there, it doesn't affect you.
The vocals arent that bad. You may be used to the way over dubbed studio vocals that Burton does on the CD. BUT! Have you even tried to sing along and stay in key. Its hard. Doing sing/scream vocals every other day eats you up. Plus all the Weed smoking/Booze shooting/Coke Tooting/Slut fucking this guy does between shows. Most you little fucks would loose your voice yelling at a high school football game. Try Screaming your ass off 40 min to an hour every other day on a 6 month

i can scream and growl my ass off so hours on end, day after day. Im not worse for wear, infact my voice has improved as a whole. Ive learned better voice control and improved my range as a method to counter the stress. You just need to take care of your voice.
That being said, burtons voice was in amazing condition for like 12 years and it still sound good on albums. So hes not the greatest live singer, the mans in his 40s. Cut him a little slack.

burt really invented the whole growl and melodic singing mix for this style of music.
hell this style of music didn't even exsist untill FF came onto the scene in 92.
burt may suck here but there are shows where he is really good.
sometimes it just depends on stress or his voice.
