Looks great and back in ww2 would have been highly effective, today its a death trap and you'd be picking your men up and putting their body parts in a plastic bag until mortuary affairs got on station.
Original Hummers were bad in iraq cause there was no armor. They "up armored" them. This is how they had to evolve. So this company is going to leave soldiers in the open with NO protection at all. Far away harassing fire could kill someone in this. Bad idea.
@cliffcox66 Very true, but the 'old school' WMIK was up-armoured in a very rudimentary but effective way, the same could be done with this. It is a constant trade off between protection and mobility that hasnt changed since mankind first started fighting.
Out in the sticks I would choose mobility, in its' own right that is a form of protection anyway as you are not restricted to roads and tracks, where it is easier to hit you.
Well i will believe what ever i like , i have used Land Rover Wolfs and WMIK's on operations in Iraq and Afghanistan and not once di they break down with reliability problems as you made out , i mean are the toyota's even battle and combat tested? Ermmmmmm NO
For LTPs with the german army in northeastern Afghanistan near the tadjic or the pakistan border we also used quite often relatively unprotected cars compareable to the Fox (Mercedes G-Class, long version...).
Normal infanterymen will usually not share such patrols into regions were regular APC are not able to drive in cause of the small roads or the unstable bridges in the high mountains......
Some one explain to me where the fuck is the protection on that vehicle did they even bother fitting a fucking Engine for christ sakes or does it run on pissing electric... Jesus.. all it takes is one bullet to the front of the vehicle and thats ur life gone. Retards! REMAKE the fucking Vehicle.. Im not using that when i get out in Afghanistan. Piece of shit. Cmon is that glass even bullet proof it looks fucking plastic..
Well.. you will never see this one when you go to Afghanistan. Well.. maby you will see it.. But not likely since you have to be special forces to use it. And no you are not.
its for rapid assault and fire support so alot of protection would slow it down it only needs to be protected from ied this is the sort of things sas and sbs use
looks like a downscaled btr-152... actually it looks like a piece of trash. whats so special about it except its cheap to manufacture and maintain???? a normal toyota pickup upgraded with some storage cases and a .50 cal. i bet even the taliban have similar vehicles!
god damn!cool thing, just maybe some smoke grenade launchers and more mounts, itll be perfect..have a look at (other)* SAS and royal paras and marines patrol vehicles..

That's why it goes around and around and acts crazy......
