For those who even think that KG is on the same level as Timmy. 4 RINGS 2 MVPS!!!! KG couldn't even get close without a future hall of fame loaded team. TImmy has been close every single year except last year and they still had the best record in the league. On top of that, Timmy didn't even pick up a basketball until he was in high school. @indian5 Duncan has rings and good stats throughout his career for sure, but I'd have to pick Karl Malone as best PF ever. Stats don't lie, and anyone playing ball in the 80s in the NBA would tell you Malone was the last person they wanted to see coming at them with the ball. He was a monster. Duncan might be a better post-up player, but Malone put the "power" in "Power Forward." Plus he had a WAY better jump shot than Duncan ever had - so I'd say Malone was more versatile to

In fact, he is one of my favorite players of all time, but Tim Duncan is head and shoulders above him and every other PF, with or without a J. Tim-4 rings 2 MVPs. Karl-0 rings 2 MVPs. Besides, Tim is 7 ft tall and Karl was 6'9" on a good day. One on one is a huge mismatch in Tims favor. Rings are all that matter and Tim has 'em.

Also, let's not forget a certain Michael Jordan who was playing at the top his game when the Jazz were making their championship runs. Who did Tim Duncan and the Spurs have to contend with? Awesome, player x averaged x amount of points, rebounds, or assists, but he didn't do what he set out to do and that was win CHAMPIONSHIPS!!! It is all the matters. That is what everyone is playing for. BTW, Duncans biggest competition was the Lakers and they were definitely one of the greatest teams of all time when they had Shaq dominating the paint. 90's MJ had no competition.

That is just silly and I expect more from someone who has the ability to put up a good argument about the greatest PF of all time. Karl had to go through the Rockets. Tim had to go through the Lakers almost every year. Hakeem and Kenny Smith with Rudy T or Shaq and Kobe with Phil? It's no contest! Tim had to go through the Lakers (WFC), the Knicks(w/Ewing etc.), Nets, Pistons(one of the greatest defensive teams ever).

Obviously Butler is no Lebron, that's my point! As for Jazz, they had to go through the Lakers too, and Seattle, and Portland, and everyone else the Spurs had to. Jazz battled the best in the West. It was always MJ that put the fire out though. At their prime no one in the West could stop them.

A list of talent KG has had...Starbury, Terrell Brandon, Chauncey Billiups, Sealy, bobby jones, foye, Rashard Mc cants, Sam Cassell, Latrell Sprewell, Tom G and Troy Hudson...Just to name a few I can think of. A ton of first round talent, mattered none.
