To make matters worse, there's no Mac versions for the software I use. I have no desire to run Windows on a Mac, because I don't have the time to tweak, etc. I need to get my work done. There is no tweaking needed to run Windows on a Mac. You partition the drive via Bootcamp which takes 1 minute and then you install the operating system.

If for you that is difficult then yes, keep what you have.

Not bashing a PC or a Mac, but this guy is talking about his problems with Adobe and how he can't use them on a mac. But if you installled boot camp (if he had a Mac) you could install Vista on your Mac and then boot into Vista whenever you needed to use your adobe software suite. Then again this video is 2 years old. Adobe and Apple may have worked something out by now.

I don't think people should blame Operating Systems for poor performance. Hardware is what affects an Operating system's overall performance. I have tried many Operating systems; XP, Vista, MacOSX, Ubuntu Linux, Windows 7 among other Linux distributions. My hardware is more like Microsoft friendly, Linux havent worked out as good as I would've liked it to.
