Taigi kua(Hokkien/Taiwanese Songs) is an acquired taste like wine. I practically rejected all Taigi songs in 1980's until recent years. The genre is simply too difficult for younger people to appreciate.
Anyways I hope you folks in the South Taiwan will produce more good Hokkien/Minnan songs. Looks like Taiwanese are the only one doing the heavy lifting in terms of language revival. Not that we're complaining, but we could use some help.

We r S'porean, Taiwanese song lover, i wish 2 visit Taiwan when i hv the chance, when i was in the army in 80s, i was selected 2 go Taiwan 4 one mth traning, but i rejected bcos of my family problems, i regretted when my colleagues told me abt the fun after training, the Taiwanese girls r very fond of S'porean 阿兵哥
some songs r really touching n meaningful, n it brings back memories of the past, i find that young S'porean has lost touch in hokkien language, songs is the only way to keep it alive. 谢谢您的支持！

I was in southern taiwan (heng chun) for army training in 1988, wish to go back there for a visit, anyway nice song.
