Nudism has taken over bollywood and the art of yore has disappeared. But the bollywood of 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s will keep ruling the hearts. Not to mention the cellestial voice of great Muhammad Rafi.
This was the perfect match of Voice and Pictures. ...both Rafi saheb and Dharmendra seems to be ment foe each other, the handsome appearance of Dharmendra with sweet voice of Rafi Saheb...the Maestro lives forever
I think one must appreciate the good qualities of Javid Bhai's singing on its own merits. Critique him if he is "besura" or if he misses a note somewhere. That would be constructive. But to dismiss him because he is not Rafi Sahab is absurd. No one can sing exactly and precisely like another person. Would you criticise Rafi Sahab if he were to sing a song sung by Pankaj Mullick, just because their voices are different and their interpretation of emotion and expression would be different.?
With all due respect, I'm surprised that some of the commenters seem to think that once Rafi Sahab sings a song, no one should be allowed to sing it in any way, other than the exact and precise way that he sang the song. Javed Bhai respects Rafi greatly and he is paying tribute with musical talents and qualities of his own. Sangeeta Nerurkar has done a magnificent job singing Saigal songs and she is every bit as good as him, yet her voice is female. What's wrong with that?
Everyone has gone bereserk- The plateau on which mohd rafi marhoom resides, is unreachable for mere mortals. For once and for all stop comparing anyone to the genius of Mohd rafi marhoom.
@gengarjetty yes friend u r right rafi sahab is not a simple singer whether he is a variety of voices,he cant be compare to oyher yaar ,there is a ntural efeect of echo in his voice which no singer had then or now except mukesh ji.RAFI sahab voice is a mircle not a voice
If you can mistake this voice for Rafi's, I think you need to really listen to Mohd Rafi. Yes, the song has been rendered good, but as far as the voice goes, it's a long way off Mohd Rafi's.
Excellent! Very good pronounciation of words very much like Rafi. Very good stay in "laye" and "riday" and livelyhood/romantic-voice. I am very impressed as a Rafi's all time admirer and singer. Keep the good work up.
Outstanding voice, and a lovely song as well. It's a great song originally sung by Rafi, and Javid Raza has done his own interpretation, and he too is splendid in his own way.
Well done. It is a great effort to sing a song of the legendary Rafi Saab with a difficult tune.

Rafi Sahab is incomparable. But judged in isolation, Javid ji's voice and style is also nice. Nice rendition.

Well Done. Sounds Great; both voice as well as music.
Rarely one hears a cover which can be as appreciated,
as much as the original.
Thumbs Up for you, sir!

As Rafi Saab's fan I must say that the singer has done a fabulous job to sing a difficult song. Matching Boss is impossible but very good effort

the guy is not trying to compete with Rafi, just admiring rafi's singing
and doing good job,
jawed if Rafi is 100, you are 80 not too far behind.
keet it up
