  • The second-to-last boss should change his name to the "Gone Commander"

Your definition of "pretty good" must be my definition of "masterful." It could practically be Fox McCloud himself! I didn't think anyone would be this good, and I bet I could literally say you're 10 times better on your worst day than I ever was on my best! If the Star Fox Team really exists then they'd better sign you up, because I'm convinced I just saw what an ace can do!

  • this is very well played. cuz 1st of all its the hardest sf game and its on an emulator so that means ur probably using a keyboard ur very good.

  • 1:50 Slippy gets owned xD

  • This video is awesome my son LOVES the starfox series and he watches videos like these all the time so heads up people

  • To this day I still consider beating Level 3 on this game to be in my top 5 gaming accomplishments.

  • Ah, I'd forgotten how awesome the SNES credits theme was ...

  • never ceases to amaze me..

  • Gotta say that the great commander has balls of steel.... i mean iron.

  • This game ROCKS.

  • OMG, youre really good. I remember each time i got to Venom Base 3, It was almost impossible for me to kill Great Comander. And sometime i spend 20 mintues at only that battle!!

  • venom looks awesome

  • this will be the mccloud's last battle!!.....

.....until they make a new game......

  • Always when i see this Andross i have the nerve to say "POKERFACE!"

  • It always sounded like Falco was saying "I got wing damage" to me.

  • 0:08

LMFAO! Epic move! I remember the first time I ever got to Venom on route 3, I had no lives left and my wings got chopped up faster than a sliced onion within seconds :(

  • "Name - Andross....." Basically Nintendo's way of saying "as if we have to tell you."

  • @ArM00geddon

Andross is the Voldemort of the Nintendo Empire.

  • I think we all hated slippy the most because he got into the most trouble, this level proves it. Music in thie game was purely awesome! I watched a video of Starfox 64 and viewd the Andross fight, disapointing to see it was pretty much the same as the SNES version...

  • ... Maybe there's a reason I never beat this game outside of the easiest route. =(

  • Wow I played this game when it came out, so young. This game was brutal!

  • any 1 else get scared with androsses big freaky head especially in 64, that used to scare me

  • @localSickened andross is one of the best videogame villan

  • Comment removed

  • Good Job man...

I remember as a kid I FINALLY made it to that second face of Andross, which I felt came out of nowhere... On the easier levels he only had one face and that was it...

I make it to this second face down to my last life... ... ... ... ... And he beats me :-(

Happy to see your video man... Again, from gamer to gamer, Good job..!

  • This must be like, hell on Zsnes...

  • corneria-melee

  • Wow you handled Andross quite nicely!

  • surprisingly skippy isnt as annoying

  • That looks hard :O

  • @napalmwedding It's difficult if you're not careful. If you're too reckless (like Like I was when I first played Venom 1), then you will be a pile of Cornerian dust in 3.5 millisecs.

  • Your Score Was 0% On Stage 2 and 3. How Is This?

  • @fantasto5 he used the black hole

  • I don't know if anyone else noticed, but those were the exact same iron balls that Bowser shot out of his...clown...thing... in super mario world.

  • God dammit, Slippy. Get a desk job.

  • i like the game

  • Atomsphere level venom 3= Meh, Boss = Ridiclously long and annoying

Venom 3 = >_< Sector Z I hate but this one too! Boss = OMG too easy

Andross and gettting there = OMG!

  • boss in venom 3 is easier then the level

  • This, this is the only Star Fox game I like. First they canceled Star Fox 2, then they made the arwings into stubby like toys, then they just got downright silly.

This level is easier if you stay more towards the center, I think. It always frustrated me how that last enemy before the boss is completely out of range.

  • if only Star Wolf came as well is would be more epic!

  • @marioandsonic3339 Nah, it doesn't need Star Wolf to be epic.

  • @Quartrez well it would be more epic!!

  • man, you're a true master!! i never could played with that velocity (ZSNES i think...).

  • Pause at 4:24 and andross looks like the awesome smiley XD

  • I HATED the Great Commander, but that DI-DE-dun-dun-da-du-dun-dun-du-du-du-dun-du-du-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-du-du-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-du-du-dun-dun-dun-dun!! part is auwsom!!!

  • starfox 64 and onward would've been way more epic with this music redone.

  • i paused it at 2:24 and it looked like the plasma shots gave it eyes and it looked like a monkey with a dumb face

  • Well Atari did have voices so I am sure with the SNES it was pretty advance at its time, the problem was that the SNES games still couldn't hold more information to slip in voices.

  • Those ball-shapped blue lasers look so badass : way better than the blue lasers you get in SF64 that's for sure.

  • I can't believe that they had voices back on the SNES! That's really neat.

Anyone else think that it sounds like Falco says "we can't wait forever"?

This level (and a lot of the game) looks like a geometrical NIGHTMARE!!

  • Epic win!

  • I could never do venom at that level of difficulty.

    Nice run^^

  • impressive voice acting

  • Here is a little trick that I discover when playing the game, when Andross spit out his blocks at you. You can line your Arwing at the bottom of his nose, and you won't get hit by any of them.

  • @Steller1980 Thanks but I prefer to use my boost and dodge all blocks in an epic way.

  • Those clouds in the background stare into my soul.

  • When I was 10, this level had my heart racin the first time i got here! Intense!

  • @ 1:13 I died more times here then anywhere else in the game/ level ever!

  • You made this a little harder than it should be. Just stay to the floor in the center and you can breeze through most of it without doing much, if anything, at all

  • man.....its like venom is the starfox version of iraq lol

  • hmmm... i never realized it before, (didn't hear the music in star fox) but isn't this the EXACT music used in the corneria level in super smash bros melee when the level itself was based on sf64?

  • i love Venom the Evilness on the ground and sky Andross' hardest minions Andross himself at his hardest form but personally i think Star fox 64 is hardest

  • why is the score for stage 2 and 3 not o its just a - -

  • he went through the "Blackhole" level in the Asteroid Belt 1 level. When you do that, you never complete the level so you don't get scored on that level. Blackhole is labeled as "Stage 3" and its merely a warp level and you don't get scored in that level either, so the end result is a - - displayed in the final total

  • oh cool

  • andross transforms into a pitbull LMAO!!!!!!!!!

  • That boss looked easy...

  • ''But This Will Be THe Mccloud's Last Battle'' That's Just EPIC ^^

  • 0:43 it looks like Fox is shooting a Landmaster with his," Twin Blasters." as he sais when you aquire them.

  • 1:23 did slippy hit 2 pillars and yet nothing happend? O_o

  • Jup, glitched through.

  • It's not a glitch, it's just that the game doesn't consider your wingmates as solid objects.

    Unfair, I know....

  • howd ya no he is slippy

  • Slippy came in saying "Get this guy off me"

  • oh rite

  • i love this version

  • 0:16 Big fun

  • "WEAPON - IRON BALLS"

    lulz

  • I suppose it uses an advanced mass driver to launch them. ;p

  • should consult duke nukem on how to upgrade to BALLS of STEEL

  • @wrs6565 They looked like bubbles to me at first.

  • @wrs6565

Atleast they weren't "Balls of Steel"

  • @sabata2 ha "Balls of Steel"

  • is it me or does the beginning boss seems just like that ship boss in starfox 64 on the level zoness

  • Yeah it sure does.... Sorta.

  • I never got the demon head but I think I only beat it on 2 of the routes

  • Great Commander was a pain.

  • What emulator are you using that you can adjust the frame rate to a specific setting.

  • I have this game on the SNES and as a rom on zsnes. My zsnes rom sucks though (v1.0) , does anyone know where you can get one that isn't glitchy.

  • Never mind my post I fixed my rom issue. But what are you using (emu) to be able to dial in a specific frame rate.

  • Did you only have Slippy left?

  • Sometimes when I fight the Great Commander in this level he'll spin around and throw his bowling balls at me non-stop and he'll never stop spinning until I die, leaving me no chance to hit him.

And I remember my first fight with route 3 Andross. I was one hit away from death so when I broke that demon face for the last time I just unloaded on the cube like there was no tomorrow and jumped in the air when I killed him. It was one of the closest boss fights I've ever had.

  • Waw... ese andross si da miedo... no como los demas... desde la risita macabra cada vez que le pegas a la mascara a la que te tienes que enfrentar... buen trabajo.xD

  • i hate that great commander

  • Fox: Ahh Shit! not this guy again! Come on Fuck off and give up already!

  • dud is slippy ur only person alive? lmfao he gets in trouble every 2 seconds its fucking hilarious

  • lol if u hear this music carefully at the beginning,it from the melee too lol

  • You make the Great Commander look so easy!

  • Okay, you're pretty good but just how do you put the audio and video onto windows movie maker?

  • Wait! In 4:17, I didn't get that face when I fight with Andross!! O_O The only face he shown was the default one. Weird.

This one looks like a devil or something! I wonder how did you get it?!

Anyway I like ending. Where Fox & co. is teaming up and preparing to take off back home. It reminds me off a movie or something.

Also the credits theme and the introduction of the characters you have killed - those are a nice ending credits =).

  • In fact you have this demon's head ONLY if you get the route 3 : the most difficult route of the game. Maybe have you just done the route 1 and 2 :)

  • Lol. I love the sound effects.

  • To me, when Andross gets shot, he sounds like a cross between a retarded baby's laugh and someone crying.

Gotta love old-school video game sound effects, eh?

  • I never could beat Venom 1, the final boss was just too hard for me

  • Dude, you gotta tell me what the hell you're using to record the audio and video. I can't figure it out!

  • But why would you want to play this game? I thought you said it was awful and pixelated... I've seen your comments on other videos.

  • I just said I want to know how you recorded the audio and video, I never said I wanted to play this game.

  • well is that the case i will help u then,if its an emulator of course

1.go to file and select record AVI

2.if ur only recording with uncompress or something it goes slow

3.after selecting "record avi" u can now select microsoft video 1,it helps alot

if its all messed up then send it to the movie maker and save it to ur computer it will fix it like that

    ok!

  • hey thenewerguy is this easier or harder than starfox64 in your opinion?

  • Star Fox Hard route is way harder than 64 hard route IMO. Easy route I'd say they're about the same.

  • Andorf is insane.

I didn't misspell his name, that's what the demon head is.

  • Andorf is simply Andross' Japanese/European name...

  • @AJF786 In Europe he's also called Andross

  • yea this brings back my memories... too bad they didnt put it on the wii shop channel :'(

  • well there is always computer with emuators and roms

  • if they did put this in the wii shopping channel, this wouldnt be a memory anymore...

BUT WHO THE HELL CARES, 1 wanna play it so badly!!!!!

  • god if i was you i wold have helped those guys shoot down that anoying frog slippy

  • wow this is the first starfox game and slippy still gets chased like 5 times per level and that was really close on andross i really want these games now

  • you haven't played sector z on starfox 64 yet then -_-

  • yes i have i just meant the ones for nes

  • I think the StarFox endings are some of the most gratifying and worthwhile I've ever encountered; always made me feel good, but challenged me to play another round. Although it helps that the percentages never really made a whole lot of sense to me. :D Ah, the memories! Thanks for uploading.

  • i noticed this song from super smash bros melee fox stage lol

  • Ooh I've only beat the 3rd path once when I was digging up my old SNES games I never completely finished. This and Mario Bros. Lost Levels were really difficult! Great job!

  • How did you get Starfox to run at 60 Fps during the gameplay? Im just Curious because its usually SLOW.

  • Emulation

  • I know that, but it still runs slower than 60 fps. i think thats the only way i got 100% on the entire level 1, I still want a faster, harder challenge! Is there a certain version of ZSNES to use?

  • Play with your feet

  • Whoa, so THIS was the true path. I had no idea that Andross' face changed shape. Thanks for uploading!

  • wow proness. I wish I was that good. Just yesterday, I managed to get to stage 7 on route 1 and i died on the boss by a laser XD. I also find it funny about the Great Commander's weapon being "Iron Balls"

  • Wow, the framerate looks so smooth and fast on your game. The framerate on my copy is way slower. Looks like it makes the game harder too.

  • The SNES can't run the game with a good framerate. This is from a ROM. Emulators can run the game with much better framerates. However, they also make the game much harder, and at times, set it out of sync as it wasn't designed to be played at this speed.

  • hey the first boss on corneria is the same boss on the n64 path 2...i just notice that.

  • TheNewerGuy,your Star Fox skills are almost off the scales!!! How long did it take for you to master Star Fox or were you a natural at this?

  • why would you even bother with a post like that really?

  • I really never got how Andross could be a cube, or how general pepper was actually able to exile that giant lump to venom in the first place

  • Im not positive, but I don't think he was a lump until after he got to venom... But im not really all that sure about that...

  • Out of all the Starfox's I played, this is the hardest one. I managed to beat it thought.

  • Stage 1: 100%

    Stage 2: ---%

    Stage 3: ---%

    Stage 4: 100%

    Stage 5: 96%

    Stage 6: 95%

    Stage 7: 95%

You used The Awesome Black Hole, didn't you?

  • It says so right there in the video's info.

  • Congratulations, you know how to reply to year-old comments!

  • the second form of andross scares me

  • Look out...... big block ahead!

  • Love how demonic Andross' face looks the 2nd time around.

  • Oh god... took me three years to beat Starfox SNES on all three difficulties. I always died at the Great Commander.

  • THe SNES version is alot harder than the N64 version.

  • Yes. Without question.

  • Good news everyone. Andross is now an Assisst Trophy in SSBB. REJOICE!

  • awesome...but it would be cooler if he was a mid game boss

  • nice. Wish the emulators would run in sync like the original. Although the framerate does seem to be better.

  • What exactly is the point of keeping your teammates alive in this game?

  • they help you out. i know the N64 version is a remake of this but in the N64 version, Falco helps destroy enemies and bosses, Peppy gives you hints, and Slippy shows the boss's shields

  • Yeah, in the N64 version. I've never known them to do anything at all in the SNES version.

  • They don't do anything except maybe killing an enemy you could've easily gotten yourself, and then get all pissed at you if you DO kill said enemy. Jerks.

And there's absolutely no penalty for letting your wingmates die, score or otherwise.

    :/

  • In SF64, you can't get a medal on a planet if your teammates are dead.

  • I've beaten the entire route 3 before, and I must say, you did a very good job here. Sector Z is my least favorite in the entire game. :(

  • how did you get from level 1 to level 3?

  • Black Hole, I guess.

  • This is definitely the best of all the StarFox games. I love the music and the game was put together so well. Despite the old graphics, Andross looks more menacing in this game than in any other. And the music plus the scheme and sound fx just go so well together. This game is legendary already.

  • God, I hate the Great Commander. He's a pain in the ass for me. I don't know his weakness.

  • Wow i've never seen that bull face! then again, i've never tried any path except 1..i cant beat the second level on path 2, and i've played this game since i was a little kid! one day i need to attempt it. also, i love the music that plays during the Venom mini boss, its so catchy to me for some reason.

  • Can Andross hurt you when he is in a cube? instead of his face form?

  • Nope, Rubix-dross is as helpless as a baby.

  • I recognize that music from SSBM! Why didn't they use that music for the Venom stage? Seriously, it would have made a whole lot more sense!

  • no they used tht music for the corneria stage plus part of it on SSBM sounded like the map music.

  • Yeah, I know that. I'm saying why DIDN'T they use it for the Venom stage.

  • ure right, it would've made more sense.

  • Thanks.

  • i think they used the other music on the venom stage coz they may have had a diffirent tune for venom on the other games. i should maybe check out venom on lylat wars or starfox adventures coz im not really sure.

  • The music they used for the Venom stage was similar, if not the same tune, used for the Star Fox stage in SSB, which I think originated in Star Fox 64.

  • actually, the music originated in Star Fox (this game) and was remade into SSBM. in SSB its Sector Z of SF64.

  • What?! What are you talking about. I think you're a little confused about what I'm talking about. "Venom stage" I ment the stage in SSBM.

  • this is the only star fox game I have not tried for snes but soon it will be release on the VC shop channel on Wii can't wait.

  • Best game on the SNES if not one of the best game series on any console

  • good
