@geovermont IIRC the article I read says that all food was prepared off-site, by a certified chef in a certified Las Vegas kitchen, transported on a certified kitchen vehicle. It's not the preparation, it's the ingredients (or some political statement).

The real question we should be asking is this: what about the ingredients makes something unsafe to eat?

Well, the owners of the farm state openly that the 'guests' had to pay for the meal. iow, they weren't guests. They were paying customers. The folks who are raising hell about government interference were operating a food service business w/o a license, permits or health inspections. This was really overkill -- the Health Department lady obviously wanted to make a name for herself. At the very least, this stuff could have gone to the farm animals or compost, and the non-meat items should not have been required to be destroyed.
