  • Krieger its Singin sooo stoneeeed ahahaha

  • Do you have the other parts of this appearance? Please post if you do. Would love to see. Thanks

  • I love The Doors and it was in this year I was born :-))

  • i think it would be weird if Jim sang this song, his voice would sound awkward with these lyrics and the tone.

  • Ray's fingers are possessed

  • Segunda Guitarra es FRANCISCO REYES???

  • Heh, I'm only just realizing that the recording was a trifle sharp; here the song is completely on key.

  • lol

  • This song is to cool

  • jim gives the doors songs imporment not to put a bad note on robbie creggier. Jim just had they emtion and sense we all wish we could have.

  • so am I

  • imagine it with Jim's voice....

  • AWESOME

  • just look at the way ray makes it seem so easy and robbys coolness a great song

  • Loveeeee it!

  • .... I still don't think it's fair that the doors had the rigt to get credit for songs that Jim wrote, after he left the band then died.

  • @TheCatmice he never left the band he just took a break to go to paris, and this song was here by kreiger, who wrote many of the bands songs even when jim was alive

  • @DavidVIIIcool ok well my ignorance shows yet again-sorry man.

  • @TheCatmice Also Robbie wrote the majority of the doors hit songs. "Light My Fire" "Love Me Two Times" "Touch Me" "Love Her Madly" etc.

And the ones he did write, Jim had rough ideas of songs in the form of rough melodies that he'd sing accapella to them from his poetry. THEY made them into SONGS. Alot more goes into writing a song then writing some words and a vocal melody.

  • robby has really nice eyessssssssssssssssssssss *_*

  • this is how i feel about the doors

comment me if you agree or disagree

  • yea, jim morrison was the first frontman who was just trippen n didnt give a damn.

such an important asset to the band. his poetry and just free spirit

drew the fans in and inspired many of the future rockstar frontman.but damn the rest of the band was just as important.

RAY!!!! dayum i loved that he was clasically trained and had the whole jazz influence along with others

  • .he gave the doors that drive, of course the drums kept the groove, but damn

ray totally rocks. love the bass in the left hand and synth in the right.

me more than thrilled. The Doors of Perception

  • very baroque with his intro in light my fire, yet still with his style. as for roby his solos werent anything like jimi's, but i loved the freeness of his spirit in his guitar playing. sounds like me, im not quite as good, but i can still bust something out, and some of his licks are funny, i really enjoy it.

everyone in the doors is ligit, so to be able to see this makes

me more than thrilled. The Doors of Perception

  • robby you sex machine :)

  • They are making playback, just Robbie is really singing :S

  • how can u guys say they were nothing without jim? granted they arent as good, because lets face it, the doors lost theyre dark quality when jim left, robbie wasnt half the poet jim was. but they still have the talent of ray manzareck possibly one of the best organists ever, and that guitar makes me reminiscent of moonlight drive a bit. i would agree they arent half as good but they are definintly SOMETHING to call them nothing is a bit of an overstatement.

  • Very strange noises coming out of Robbie at 3:48 !

  • @TheAlistairDick Well if you know the studio version, you see that he hides such words as"f*** your mother" ans so on...

  • I can't stop playing this song. It's very catchy. Thanks for posting

  • haha robby was late to play slide guitar he wasnt in sync with the recording

  • nice playback video. am i the only who thinks robby looks a bit like knopfler at times?

  • @piafounet I agree with you there !

  • rofl

  • Not bad AT ALL. Singing is better than expected. I love the musicianship. Still hard to get used to them playing with JIm not there

  • Robbie kreiger on vocals! wondered if jim ever heard him sing?

  • @orangewestpro Robbie sang a little on Runnin Blue.

  • Wouldn't have be the same without Jim.

  • im so sick of everybody saying that the doors were Jim Morrison because frankly they just were not that is why they were called the doors and not Jim Morrison band it take more than 1 person to be a band

  • No Morrison. No Doors. Doors are dead story without Jim! Remember that, Ray!

  • @rhuneke The doors arnt dead at all you idiot do you know why they picked the name the doors

"When the doors of perception have been cleansed everything will seem as it is, Infininte" they used the name The Doors, so they could be eternal u goof and Im 16 a lil far off from their time so how can u call them dead.

  • @rhuneke True, well said. Without him they where nothing.

  • Nah man, it´s a cool song and everything.

But without Jim it´s a totally different band.

  • somebody make a torrent of these outtakes for demonoid or other good torrent site...

  • dude, ray is so cool. its hard not to smile watching him at 2:06-2:14. HESSO B.A!!!!!!!!

  • @airsoft25g just watch his right hand. he doesalittle wip

  • i love the doors, i think that

morrison could be what he is with out them

and them could be what they are with out morrison

  • @doxylicious Ray discovered Jim and started the band with him. I don't think they could have been without him, but I think Jim could have with a different band.

  • doors without jim are better

  • @cacaorocks go fuck urself, jim was the doors!!!!!!!!!! your just a stupid asshole

  • @cacaorocks i don't totally agree... Doors without Jim are good but not better... JIM IS A KING! LIZARD KING!

  • @cacaorocks dont be stupid the doors like this are still good but jims vibe was part of the doors his dark lyrics was part of the doors his great voice was part of the doors after jim died they should have changed their name

  • This has a real Jim vibe to it!!

  • I like it, altough i think it isn´t the doors without jim :)

  • Fantastic.

  • lalalalalalala lalalalalala>great

  • who is the second guitar and the bassist?

  • @elpitoperez Bobby Ray is the rythm guitarist I believe, or the basisst, thats one of their names, theres a video on here, The Doors, Tightrope Ride LIVE! That has their names in it.

But before Jim died, they were planning to tour with a rythm guitarist and bassist, although the bassist was going to be Jerry Scheff, who played for Elvis, but backed out I believe, when Jim died.

  • @elpitoperez The one in the hat is Jack Conrad. He even played on the two last studioalbums. I don't know the other one :-(

  • Really good post! Thanks a lot!

  • This is GREAT. I never knew such footage existed

  • I have the whole take of OGWT on DVD if anyone is interested in a trade.

Notes: Although the vocals are live the music is not, as The Doors are playing to a pre-recorded track. The group consists of original Doors members Ray Manzarek on keyboards, Robby Krieger on guitar and John Densmore on drums, plus an additional guitarist and a bass player.

  • Manzarek performs vocals on the latter two songs, with Krieger on vocals for the first. The additional guitarist plays bongos on 'Shitz With Sails', not the guitar. According to the BBC's 'Programme as Broadcast' information, the Door's performance of the song 'Shitz With Sails' was not used in the final transmitted programme.
