  • 0:35 is the absolute best move ever. Especially when its by your 7 foot DPOY center.

  • When the league had real bigs ...

  • this vid is no knock on D-Rob, Hakeem dominated everyone, Shaq, Ewing,Mourning, Mutumbo...EVERYONE

  • 0:33-0:50 Kobe's go to moves... where do you think he got them???

  • Comment removed

  • Oh geez, some people. It's NOT a debate over who had the better post moves. Kevin Mchale redefined how to play in the low post. Guy was f'n AMAZING!!! Not to mention he was NBA all defense 1st or 2nd team seven times. Don't even bring race into it either. Barkley is NOT in the top two for greatest PF ever. He's between 3-7 with Hayes, Petit, McHale and Garnett. Duncan is first and Malone is second. That's not debatable either. Centers: Russell, Kareem, Wit, Hakeem then Shaq.

  • @KatameDo

just a guess, but I bet you read Simmons' book.

  • Such deft footwork...

  • @DWaq32 I hope you do know that Dwight is working on his post game with Hakeem...... just saying.

  • @Freshustle I like Dwight, but he is not a dominate big man, he is a freaky athlete but he is not playing his full potential, defensively he is beast, but he lacks alot in the offensive category. He has been working with legendary centers his whole career and is only averaging 19ppg this year. and shoots below 45% from the foul line.. someone of his size, strength, should be averaging at least 25 a game. the free throw thing is unacceptable

  • olajuwon played the most beautiful center. no contest. look at the feet.

  • Back when big men had skills, and of course, Hakeem was the most complete big man ever. Now there's only Dwight Howard and he's a pathetic waste of talent.

  • poor david =( lol

  • I can't even do this in 2k12

  • does anybody know if this is highlights from multiple games in a series or one game? if so which one?

  • players today have no skills like this , many are athletic and can play and shoot . but they aint touchin players like hakeem .

  • @DRose23MJ Where's Manute Bol in that list?

  • nba top 5 blockers

    1.Hakeem

    2.Dikembe Mutombo

    3.Kereem Abdul Jabbar

    4.Mark Eaton

    5.David Robinson

  • @DRose23MJ Although this is a good list, you cant forget about Bill and Wilt. They just weren't tracking it back then.

  • @KingGreqo yeah they were good to

  • Patrick Ewing is a legend but Hakeem Olajuwon is the guy who can take Dwight Howard to the next level If Dwight is able to learn some of these post moves he would be an all time great

  • @dublin7 If you want Dwight to be the next Hakeem, then he needs to sign with Houston this season. Without that red & white, he's stuck with Patrick.

  • @KingGreqo There is a better chance of Brian Scalabrine winning MVP then that happening haha

  • 0:47 is what you had to do when refs still paid attention to TRAVELING! Go Hakeem!

  • It must have been spectacular watching him play.

  • Kareem-hakeem-Dwight

Se of the greatest centres of all time

  • @RedDeadMaster1000

Dwight isnt in the level that u can say that hes "one of the greatest of all time"

wat about Bill Rusell ?? Wilt Chamberlin ?? sry but those guys will EAT Dwight alive....

  • @AdjustTo after I wrote this comment I was like...WTF did I just say?I think in future he'll go down as a legend but you're right they would kill him

  • @RedDeadMaster1000

haha its ok Dwight is a solid Center but still he needs like ALOT of work on his shot and form

  • @AdjustTo true but he will always be rememberd for his defence

  • You guys do realize that this song was originally by "tatu" a female group? I think it's called 30 minutes or less or something like that. Look it up.

  • Rings don't make a player, but they sure do matter. Horry won 7 rings because he was clutch and actually a decent bench player. Jordan won 6 because he drove himself to win them, Kobe has 5 because of the same reason. Tim Duncan has 4 because he was an incredible teammate and didn't care about stats over winning. Larry Bird won 3 because he scored when it mattered. Hakeem won 2 because he knew that this was the best chance to dominate, and he did. And VC has 0 because he didn't have that desire.

  • rockets got lucky MJ didnt play for during the '94 season and most of '95

  • lol@wiesiu0 ...more like Jordan was "lucky".

  • @wiesiu0 rockets would've have beaten the bulls. bulls have nobody to guard olajuwon

  • @samtheman7975

I'm a Rockets fan born in Houston, but no way would we have beaten the Bulls if Jordan had stayed in the league. I'm guessing the Bulls would've won the series in 4-6 games, two years in a row.

  • @samtheman7975 .....lmaooo....bulls have nobody to guard olajuwon...yeah,nice theory...

    bulls= ousted ewing 5 times....ousted prime mourning 3 straight years....ousted brad daugherty 4 times(he was an allstar all 4 yrs)...ousted shaq 1 time....

hakeem= ousted 4 times by the sonics in his career....who did they have to guard hakeem?....understand?....in fact, the bulls usually held centers below their normal production with great team defense....bulls woulda beaten the rockets

  • Why you did cover the original film with song e_e..? All this young kids don't appreciate the classic's always needing some cheesy song to make it look and hear cool.

  • Hakeem >shaq ; howard ; ewing !!!

  • rajon who?

  • @uonp Rajon Rondo. lmao.

  • Sit the fuck down Horry you freeloading career dumbfuck. Jud Buechler called, and he wants it back

  • @555sykzero lmfao.

  • BEST FOOTWORK IN NBA HISTORY! =)))

  • The most skilled Center Ever!!!!

Case in point, 0:11 among many others, not fair.

  • @imreadynow19 I have to agree. He dominated in the era with the best big men. It wasn't Wilt going over 6'6" guys, he went against so many elite centers. He didn't even play basketball until he was 15 I think.

  • I'm a Spurs fan so the result was awful but Hakeem was just unbelievable. Best post player of all time.

  • LEGEND!

  • That move at 0:35 is unfair, you can not that when you're 7ft tall..

  • what is the original instrumental that you used?

  • Basketball will NEVER be the same. :(

  • I'm spurs fan, but he is just perfect

  • tremendoes low post footwork

  • Not power, but skill to own... A humble tip to current NBA players!

  • Lol did someone claim sixth man wonder Kevin Mchale was better than 2FinalsMVP Hakeem?

  • this song is dear anne by lil wayne...

  • @xLALakers24x dude I had this beat before Lil Wayne rapped over it

  • @germantown555 no i know.. cuz you uploaded the vid back in '09. far before lil wayne rapped over it. maybe you couldnt find it again because lil wayne bought the rights to the beat or something. it's kind of interesting though that a beat from so long ago will pop up a few years later in a catchy song.

  • @xLALakers24x yea I had no clue that a big name rapper like lil wayne would"ve actually rapped over a beat like this haha

  • @germantown555 haha really. there is a russian song called '30 minutes by Tatu'. I dare you to check it out, if you really made the beat. btw, the song came out 04 or 05.

  • @germantown555 This song is "30 minutes" by Tatu and is extremely famous...

  • @xLALakers24x IDIOT

  • fucking song

  • That's my team. I remember them like it was yesterday. 1994 and 1995. Great years in the NBA. Nothing can beat the Dream Shake.

  • @fishman017 Yeah! And now we're practically rebuilding... Next year may be a step forward though. Go Rockets!!!

  • Olajuwon was lethal.

  • lol he made the spurs look like Brian Scalabrine!!

  • "If I had to pick a center [for an all-time best team], I would take Olajuwon. That leaves out Shaq, Patrick Ewing. It leaves out Wilt Chamberlain. It leaves out a lot of people. And the reason I would take Olajuwon is very simple: he is so versatile because of what he can give you from that position....People don't realize he was in the top seven in steals. He always made great decisions on the court. For all facets of the game, I have to give it to him."

    --Michael Jordan

  • Sick post moves.

  • Pete "Pistol" Maravich created this move, and used it effectively, along with many other moves players use in this watered down league called the "NBA". This isn't Hakeem's move, he just used it.

  • Anno Domini Beats - Minute by minute

  • @Livinglifehigh your right, nice find.

  • i enjoyed watching hakeem

  • Hakeem was a SF stuck in a Centers body.

  • I remember Pau Gasol trying to do the Dream Shake once.. lol.. he got owned..

  • @DeathMetalforever-Haha...you calling someone a tough internet warrior. You insulted three different people on here all in one day. Congratulations! You just won Toughest Internet Warrior.

  • BEST CENTER EVER.

  • Duncan's MVP awards were flukes

  • @1944ACE1944 what? what a fucking retard.

  • Kevin McHale: better post moves

  • @oldgil17 are you serious? Kevin McHale had betterpost moves than Hakeem? where did you get that opium you are smoking kid?

  • @DeathMetalforever Youre just saying that because McHale is white and Olajuwon is black... Racism at its finest...

  • @oldgil17 are you serious? racism? lol wtf.....!!!! what a retarded excuse.... here we go another retard pulling the race card shit. I'm not even black but Olajuwon was and is the best post up player in the history of the game. If you fail to realize that you started watching basketball yesterday.

  • @DeathMetalforever

    Hakeem Olajuwon: 2 Rings

    Kevin McHale: 3 Rings

He is one up on Olajuwon, plus McHale played in the 80's, one of the most competitive eras in basketball. Hakeem had two inches on mchale, so all olajuwon really had to do was lay it up, whereas kevin had to do spins and up and unders and "real", refined post moves. You must either be a rockets fanboy, a celtics hater, a drug abuser, or an ignorant troll

  • @oldgil17 McHale's teammates included (Bird, Parish, Carr, Henderson, Archibald, Ford, D. Johnson, Maxwell, B. Walton, and many more great players) Olajuwon had (Thorpe, Cassells, Smith,Horry and thats it) later on he had ancients Drexler and Barkley but that's about it. McHale had a dream team so no shit you fucking retard! and those 2 inches crap do not mean shit, look at Barkley and Rodman (6'7" and 6'9" respectively) and are some of the best rebounders in history. Fucking kids!

  • @oldgil17 You must have started watching basketball yesterday and never played organized basketball in your whole life so learn your sports before going on youtube insulting people you tough internet warrior... fucking kiddo!

  • @DeathMetalforever

just started playing bball yesterday? Your saying the dude from the 90s is better than the kid from the 80s...

I play high school ball, so I'm pretty sure you can consider that competitive... I'm a raptors fan, Olajuwon played for us and averaged a whopping 7 PPG; McHale was an all american, and a great nba coach

  • @oldgil17 You play hight school ball. Great answer, now moving on your answer is completely irrelevant to what started the arguement in the first place. Get back and reply to my previous answer. I hope you have a better comeback that this crap!

  • @oldgil17 Give it up, moron. Hakeem had more abilities than McHale. Even if McHale had better post moves (which is up for debate), he didn't have the rebounding, defense, or passing ability that Hakeem had.

Only an idiot would claim that more rings means a guy is better. Horry has more than Jordan, was he better?

  • @BornOnThe1stOfApril -- even Jordan said in his interview that he would pick Hakeem over any other center in the history of NBA because of his blocking, rebound, and scoring abilities. He was a complete player. For reference, search Hakeem wikipedia and scroll down for article reference.

  • @BornOnThe1stOfApril the reason horry has more rings cause he was on the duncan and hakeem bandwagon..

  • @BornOnThe1stOfApril THANK YOU FOR THAT END POINT!!!!! LOVE U!!!! Kobe has 5 rings and lebron has 0 thats why kobe is better???? LIKE WAT???? So Fisher is better than Bird cause its 5/3??? Ive been using this point for yrs at Ring FagTards

  • @BornOnThe1stOfApril

ye i dont know says mchale is beter is beter then hakeem but he is basketball retarded :P lol hakeem is top 10 player ever mchele(for me)is not even top 40

  • @oldgil17 I play high school ball and as a legit big, i can tell you that Hakeem is then better player, you sound retard, you ignoramus

  • @oldgil17 You realize Olajuwon started playing ball at age 17, probably the year he had 7 ppg. You see how quick he picked up the game?

  • @madmagician07 Uhhh your way off I was talking about when he played here in toronto when he was 37 so he had been playing ball for about 20 years, more than most of the people in the NBa today

  • @madmagician07

He started playing basketball at age 15

  • @oldgil17 ur surley not serious. Well if u ask anyone other then u. Im sure Hakeem the Dream is the greatest. Top 50 player also played in the 80's and dominate that era too.

  • Tim Duncan and Hakeem Olajuwon have the best post-up moves in NBA history.

  • @MyVicariousness28 Hakeem pisses on Duncan, fuck duncan

  • i laugh when they say Duncans the Greatest PF ever...

    its Karl Malone easily!

  • @Air23Davis Duncan- 4 Rings, 2x NBA MVP, 3x Finals MVP.

Malone- 1 MVP (Very dubious, as many believed MJ should have won it), 0 rings, sucks in the clutch, built by John Stockton.

    Anything else?

  • @Air23Davis WTF? Karl Malone? Charles Barkley owned all of them. Just look at stats and numbers. Minus a championship Charles Barkley was the best forward of all times period!

  • @DeathMetalforever

id bank my money on Barkley or Malone.

Tim Duncan is top5 but not the best PF

  • 5 people want fries with their dream shake.

  • Why is the music so loud you cant hear what is being said. Is this a music video or what? WTF!

  • if you guys dont watch my NBA Videos you miss the most passionate vids ever!

  • quadruple double threats

  • man that dream shake looks easy but its actually far from it hakeem just makes it look easy. i want a current day hakeem

  • Dwight Howard wishes he had the kind of moves...

  • just imagine if he was playing right now

  • This one series has made David Robinson so underrated. Historically throughout their careers matching up David Robinson actually had better numbers...

  • Houston always have the greatest Centers of each Era. Hakeen > Mutombo > Yao

  • There are thousands Alojuwan in Africa, but for political reason the NBA won't give them a chance..

  • handles like a fuckin guard

  • Leonardo da Vinci of the NBA

  • Hakeem's middle name is smooth.

  • if not for TIM DAv would hav no rings

  • The thing is, in this series, dennis rodman guarded Robert Horry so he coulnd't get as many rebounds as against other opponents because Horry was a threat from the 3 point line.

  • who ever says that this is rondo's move is a fuckin dumbass flat-out. when stephen curry did the dream shake ppl say he traveled and that he imitated rondo. proves that they dont kno shit bout basketball

  • @datpoint so true how could you not kno one of the greatest of all time

  • That move @:36 is just ridiculous!

  • @PhantomMenace99 I was watching it for like 10 times then I saw your comment. lol.

  • who the fuck dislike's dis..? WTF.. fo real????

  • @Whoopass033 david robinson .. lol

  • nice video hakeem legend

  • Ah, 1995...great year.

  • 七彩迷蹤步-.- lol

  • @thesurefiregamer it was 7 titles

  • Hakeem is such a quick center!!

  • that's what a real Nigerian can do

  • and robinson was the MVP that year.........yeah that was a joke!!

  • the song is really fucking annoying

  • "when he made that one shot where he wasn't even looking at the basket - just finger-rolled it behind his head"

    LMAO

  • @germantown555 My brother actualkly used this beat. Its a coincidence you have it on here. haha

  • @germantown555 do u remember what the songs title is or who its by?

  • @lzknds Just search for it on youtube, its called "Minute by Minute" - Anno Domini Beats.

  • @lzknds just 4 nostalgie lol

  • @lzknds It's not a perfect song for Hakeem but using it is a good way to protect the video from getting flagged for copyright infringement.

  • @germantown555 MC Madjah - mauvais reflets

  • plzz lemme get the insturmental its not on annodominis page no more

  • monster post game. No one in todays game has all the moves like him

  • Why is it that he always schooled David Robinson more than others.

  • Wow Hakeem made the admiral look like shit everytime they played!!!

  • Imagine if Olajuwon bothered to master the sky hook...

  • Rajon Rondo kinda plays like him.

  • can you send me this full instrumental please!!!

  • Damn I used to hate when Houston use to come to town when they had Olajuwon, Cassell, and Drexler.

  • How can i find the theme of the video? It's simply perfect!

  • Rondo show em how its really done. rondo!!!!!!!!1

  • It's funny how the Rockets could have gotten Michael Jordan but instead got Hakeem. Just to show how good he is, no one ever complains or says it was a bad move.

  • @RocketsAriza super funny,to think that the rockets could have end up with 6 championships

  • whats this BGM???

  • best one man performance and best ownage in NBA history

  • Hey, what's the song? I really like it.

  • @7hlfstpsupjeeohn Minute by Minute from Anno domini Beats

  • @germantown555

Thanks. Unfortunately the instrumental version was discontinued. : /

  • i can do the dream shake

  • I'm sitting hear watch this and geting CHILLS! the greatest International player EAVER.

  • dwight howard= the modern day CENTER!!! hey guys, i agree that centers back then have so many moves in their arsenals but there is NO ONE.... NO ONE before and today that can jump like dwight... STRENGTH plus VERTICAL plus IMPROVING FT=all time greats!

  • @junboy2004 ah yeh maybe wilt chamberline

  • @xIISuPeRMaN if dwight played back in the 50s and 60s, he'll dunk 20 times per game and rebound 30 per game.. i think nobody jumped as high as dwight howard since shawn kemp but kemp has a smaller body... So I think, dwight will be in the top 5, if not in the top 3, greatest big men of all time.

  • @junboy2004 yeah your defentily right he may go down as 1 of the greatest big men in nba history once he can master a better offensive and post game he will be unstoppable.
