  • not sure. engine and cab are not same yeartho

  • is it the W22 Mustang? We had a few sitting around a shop I worked at

  • I had the same year, but mine was the thirty-foot bus version, which I used as a moving van. It hauled my stuff around for many years, with the longest trip being from BC to Alberta... it's been years since I've heard that beautiful deep resonant hum! Thanks for posting this, and for stirring the memories.

  • @tardotronic glad you enjoyed it. The previous owner had a 6 in. dia. steel pipe boom on it and contracted out to the O.P.P. to recver ditched trucks etc. on the 401 hwy. His name was "Dizzy" and he lived up to his name!!

  • Have you done anything with the White lately? Looks like it is in pretty good shape.

  • @51CORNBINDER no its just a conversation piece here in ontario.

  • @jafromobile white power, white power!!

  • Don't those things have a chrome logo on the side that says "White Power"?

I've seen a 1940's White truck that had it about 10 years ago. Weirdest thing I've seen. It was fully restored and sitting in a field with 10 other weird trucks, some with tracks, but it never moved. Fresh paint, etc... and getting grown in.

  • That truck is an amazing looking survivor!

  • I want one..

  • lol and see the other bloke was about to walk away befor it started :)

  • like the film wrong turn lol

  • ya it reminds me of that movie too. maybe a sequel with the old white lol

  • Wow very little smoke. remarkable especially for a 59 ish year old truck

  • what did yall ever do with it?

  • lol, imagine being alone in the woods at night and you hear that thing trying to start up...

  • lots of noise for a flathead six withh 110 hp!

No it was not abandoned . It had a 6" X 20 ft. boom and was used as a recovery unit. it still has a huge winch on back that has pulled D8 cats out of the mud as well as numerous tractor trailers out of the ditch. It was owned by a fellow named "Dizzy "Prentice and he lived up to his name,
