If Lance had stopped his blood doping , he would have go back to his 1993-95 performances.

Blood doping with your own blood makes a 20% sustainable power output gain if you look at wattage ouput from riders.
Interlukins and Chemotherepy drugs help riders transport oxygen by giving them little artificial red blood cells that are tiny and move quicker to transport oxygen faster.
Riders can use autologous blood transfusions un-detected and that was shown in the busted blood doping ring Operation Puerto. Over a hundred units was found.

Interlukins activate a pathway called the JAK-STAT pathway that results in the production of interferon, which inhibits repair and reproduction of nearly all cells throughout the body (including myocytes), resulting in a major drop in power output. It would be like trying to ride the tour with the flu.
Autologous transfusion will increase your power output tremendously. It'll also send your hematocrit % soaring over the 50% cap that the UCI and TdF impose on all cyclists.

Actually Lance isnt nearly the most tested athlete. If you go to USADA you can see how many out of competition tests each athlete goes through.
LAnce got about 12 in 2001 for example. There is one athlete on their that gets hair tested for cocaine every week...
Also, a spanish newspaper reported Lance running from one of Catlin's Testing controls in the Canary islands a couple of weeks ago.
You shouldnt be ignorant and talk of nothing you know about.

He can be tested by everybody and their dog, but there is no test for autologous blood transfusion, and no test for IGF-1 or hGh. NOBODY has tested positive for either of these EVER. And the public knows athletes are using them.

He tested positive for EPO 6 times in the 1999 Tour... They know that there is EPO in the samples because the samples tested positive for EPO. Lance has confirmed that they are his samples and they tested positive for EPO, however he asked that you believe that it was all a part of a French conspiracy as there was "No EPO in the samples when I gave them"

They also know that EPO remains stable for years in urine, in fact that was the reason for the testing. For two years they tested the samples from the 98 and 99 Tours and found that EPO largely remains stable in frozen samples. There was no evidence that EPO could magically appear in frozen samples.....

The big fish dope with their own blood. They microse dose EPO via IV to stimulate small red cell production when their jacked. The tests then cant pick up doping with your own blood.
Its simple. ALL they need is proper medical supervision from a team staff member or doctor. Testing cant detect DYNEPO(human exact epo from a lab) so they use that.
They use Insulin-like Growth Factor, and even cow blood(Actovegin) for therepy.

Its a very common well known theme regarding steroid users like armstrong...infrequent participation means less chance of detection.
See you dont know when he used steroids..as it was done in a small timeframe therefore drastically cutting the chance of a positive sample, he could evade a positive test (unlike 1999 his erythropoietin EPO sample from 2004 retest). Had he competed frequently then the chances increase dramatically..as LOSING races CLEAN he'd be admitting GUILT.

i do think lance doped, i used to be a lance lover who would stand up for him in every situation and defend his achievments.
But now i have realised that the drug takers are always 1 step ahead of the testers, they have the money behind them. You could sya that he went for 7 tours without getting caught, but in reality cycling will never bring down such a great figure that has brought so many people to the sport and brought so much revenue, Lance has made cycling a greater sport.

well basically my, and most peoples goal when they train for tour de france is to cycle 100-120miles per day on up hills. simple. you will find it isn't the distance which i the problem.. its getting the food and liquid inside you during the 100+mile stage..
