Awesome filas! What's it like owning a fila? I've been thinking of getting one for a long time. Are males usually more dominant than the females? I have dog experience, but never owned a fila as you can tell :)
Yes! It's awsome to have Filas. I have been breeding them since 1984. They are lovely, extremilly LOYAL, agressive to strangers (that they understand as danger). Males are usually more dominant than females, but females can be very good guards too. I hardly recommend you to have a pure Fila, from the ancient lines (CAFIB type). They represent much about the brazilian culture also. You only must have lots of love to give and enough space area for them to exercise themselves.
@anibalfelipe nice video, i recently moved tp brazil and i purchased a brazilian fila, hes 6 months old now and since he was 2 months he started to show agression towards strangers. so the question is... i want to get another fila puppy but how do i do it? my fila (Apollo) wants to fight with any dog he sees hes never been in a dog fight because hes always on a leash.
That's the problem. Their should only be one type of Fila the true CAFIB Fila is the only Fila. Please people quit ruining this breed. If you don't want the hard core real deal get a mastiff.
