This was such a great band, and they played such "feel good" music. I had many of good times in "the Ripple" and Bloomington during and after their shows. They always put the ladies in a very "loving" mood.
Real sad to hear about Mac, he was one fine singer. I know he's in heaven because he brought so much joy to so many of us down here. God Bless you Leslie, I hope your comforted to know so many people recognized your husband as one of the good guys in this sometimes ugly world!
Hello Roadmaster Fans, its me Leslie Johns McNally. Mac's widow/ Bobby Johns sister. I just want to thank you for sharing all your comments and memories here. Isn't it great to relive the moment! Wishing you all well. Leslie
Yes dear there are many many out here in the wasteland that loved to hear them play. It seems like yesterday and then like a lifetime ago when I saw them play. Wish you well Leslie.
I used to LOVE hearing this on Indy Naptown FM radio! This song premiered during a painful breakup and was great therapy, blasting this outa my windows! Thanks for posting this!
Hey, a couple years ago I actually contacted his widow Leslie, she lives in Nashville, she actually sent me a copy of the album at no charge. It is a full length album but was laid to CD with only the "click tracks" - it is worth the listen, but it's not a polished Mac sound. Click tracks are the vocal tracks used to help the musicians lay down instrument tracks. He unfortunately did not survive to lay the final vocal tracks.
The cute guy in the sleeveless shirt is our cousin, Rick Bennick!
He's still performing today!!! :)

I played Little League with Mac (he taught me how to throw a slider) and hung with the boys from Velet Infinity in the '60s. Steve was a talent.

Really nice group of guys. They opened up for Blue Oyster Cult in NY. I still have my pass. What really impresses me are the lyrics, awesome.

What an awesome song. Mac supposedly recorded a Christian album before he passed away. Does anyone have any info?
