  • 02:22 I call it the liquid sound...please, someone sample this lol

  • Hi Jack which do you like more this fuzz or say the wilson 4knob fuzz?

  • best fuzz face ive ever heard so far!

  • @IntoxicusMaximus

    what's hilarious is your intellect.

  • Thanks for the review. This pedal has the tone I'm looking for. I'm getting one.

  • please, what is the transistors choice on this one, into the list of transistors proposed on the hartman site ? and if you know it, can you tell the gain range of these particular ones ? they propose these : OC77, OC84, NKT271, AC128, NKT275, CV7007 so ...

  • idk why but i prefer using this pedal as a low-gain fuzz, i think it sounds AMAZING as an overdrive kind of thing... has to be the bst fuzzface clone around...

  • Oh, that's nice, but the guitar, amp and the player are first rate as well. I just wonder how much of that has to do with the Hartman sounding so good.

  • Church of Jimi, how long have you been going?

  • Can I turn down the distortion with a silicon fuzz like you're doing?

  • i hear a slight reverb or delay goin on there mate. pedal or thru amp? what type of reverb? spring?

  • Nice demo. You and your tone shine on this one.

  • Amongst the best demo's on this site. Thanks Jack, i can even forgive wearing your jumper tucked into your pants ;-)

  • Hey man I see you're enjoying that fine piece of Ceriatone craftsmanship! It's just reassuring me that my JTM45 from them was one of the best purchases I could have possibly made. Play on.

  • great hands

would you change anything in that ceriatone amp???like the tranformers to be specific??

the amp with that pedal is awsome sounding

  • Nice! I prefer amp cranked all the way, and than with fuzz. Thats when the mojo comes!

  • are you using the ceriatone original transformers??

    awsome tone with this pedal

  • the lick from 3:02 to 3:17 almost made my brain melt lol...sooo good

  • sweet plexy <3

  • I have the 86 Bass Plexi. Did you ever find the 87 to be too bright? Did you get yours with the Master Volume?

  • Sounds like a very Eric Johnson tone. It is nice!

  • Nice tone what are those pickups ?

  • what pickups do you use? Sounds beautiful!

  • hey, what are you amp settings?, that clean tone is amazing, are you using the guitars volume to clean it up?

  • What kind of speakers are you using here

  • Nice demo.

  • Would of loved to hear some playing with the bridge pickup : /

  • Ok great playing and tone. What model Ceriatone amp is that and what kind of cab and exact speakers?

    Thanks

  • Which do you prefer and why? The Area 51 fuzz or the Hartman GE Fuzz?

    Thx.

  • what's the title of the song of 58 secs to - 1,27 secs ???

  • castles made of sand

  • AWESOME!

  • What amp is that? thats the hendrix tone I've been looking for! i have the hartman germanium fuzz, however with an american amp like my hotrod deluxe, im sure you can imagine that my tone (sadly) sounds nothing like Hendrix's.

yours on the other hand, sounds spot on. if you would be kind enough to inform me of what kind of amp that is, it would be much appreciated :)

  • It's a clone of the late 1960's "Plexi" line of tube stacks. Jimi used a few of them (with the stock Celestions replaced by JBL lead guitar speakers) during that time period. They got their name "Plexi" from the plexiglas front panel on the amp head (which was replaced with a silkscreened metal faceplate in later iterations of the Marshal "super lead" series heads).

  • what kind of tubes you got in there?

  • Don't worry bout the amp. Jimi used Fender amps for studio. At gigs, he used cranked Marshalls. Sound like Jimi is not easy. Try with a Strat with 69's pickups, the crunch channel and the Hartman fuzz. Cheers!

  • nice info, never knew he used fenders in studio, any ideas as to what ones? i was looking at the ceriatone 50 watt plexi to get a hendrix, frusciante, led zep tone....any suggestions as to a better pick...probably spend around 1g on it, thats pushing it too :0)

  • Well, Hendirx used Twin Reverbs and VOX AC30.

The Ceriatone its a great amp, not cheap but great. I use a Fender Blues Deluxe and it really sings (and its cheaper). I can go from blues (Waters, Guy, Collins, Hooker, SRV et al) to rock (Led Zep, Hendrix, AC/DC) to alternative (Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, etc)

I'm using just the amp with a Hartman BC108 and some overdrive/delay pedals in front. Cheers and good luck!

  • @samsael hendrix is blues

  • @michaelgroenewald7 Yep, he used to play blues licks, but his music isn't pure blues. Think of "Burning of the Midnight Lamp" (is not a blues progression). Hendrix played blues, jazz, rock, soul, funk, gospel, progressive... I guess that's why his legend grows every year. It's unfair to say he is blues, rock. etc. It's restrictive.

Let's say Hendrix and think a whole musical universe by itself. Sorry for my poor shitty english. Cheers dude!

  • great playing!!! what kind of reverb/delay do you usually use in your demos because i hear it in almost every demo

    Thanks!!!

  • Judging by Discofreq's site, it's AC128. Sounds great, I can't really tell the difference between this and the NKT. It's a tad deeper, but not by much. And yes, not many people use AC128's because of their supposed wide range of gain ranges and that makes it hard to find a good pair. Hartman must have went through alot of trouble to build alot of the AC128 versions. I think they sound like something in between a good set of NKT's and BC108's. Perfect imho.

  • Sweet! What pickups are you using? Also, are those AC128 transistors in there? Those supposedly replaced the entire line of OC75-OC81D groups of transistors being that the AC128s were made more consistently and with a wider span of gain ranges. ~ *The more you know!*

  • Nice. I think this is the first video of yours I've seen where you haven't been going for a jazzy Dumble tone:D We, the lowly unsophisticated types, appreciate the fuzzy Marshall vibe once-in-a-while too:) At any rate, keep up the good work!

  • you're one of the most creative guitarists ive heard. Keep up the cool demos Jack!

  • Great tone! Put a Leslie rotating speaker effect on and you have the total package bar none!

  • What guitar is that ?. Its not a stratocaster.

    -it sounds OK though.

  • I think he said a Don Grosh

  • Possible. Thanks PA28140.

  • dang guy. Some excellent tone and playing!

  • Hey Jack lovey video! I'm heavily considering purchasing this amp. Through your hands it sounds as if its the cleanest el34 amp ever that can turn into a classic rock overdrive machine. I'm just wondering what you honestly think about this amp. If it sounds this close to hendrix in person I will definitely get it. But I have seen some videos that are so-so. What are the settings on the amp. Are you jumping channels? Thanks man, again awesome playing, awesome tone.

    Peace and Love

  • Is this the AC128 or NKT275 version?

  • you have a sweet tone.

  • Just wondering which you prefer...The Ceriatone Plexi? or your Rockytop plexi??

  • i sold the rockytop but it's a great amp too.

  • Which ceriatone plexi is this? I see like 4 different models on the website (Bass, Exp, SuperLead, Jtm45, Brown???)

  • this is the 1987 50 watt plexi

  • Hi Jack

That is a great sounding guitar!

    thanks for posting

  • Hey Jack, I saw yourlink from the Gear Page. Really great playing and magical tones here. I just ordered the SFZ from Hartman and can't wait.

I'd be really interested to know what your delay settings are - the audion dropped out just as you kicked it in.
