Read that little folded up piece of paper that comes with just about any medicine you get . . . the companies almost always have some comment about not knowing exactly how it works, they may be 99% sure of what goes on, but if they can't prove it, FDA won't let them talk about it without adding that it's not fully known. Because this commercial talks about how the medicine works, they have to have that disclaimer. It's no different than any other medicine.
Welcome to science, especially medical science. Sometimes we expect something to work and it doesn't. And sometimes something works and we don't know why. With years or research we might figure it out. But if it's useful and reasonably safe why not start applying it now?
Useful and reasonably safe...They just openly admit on the commercial that they had no clue what it does. That's like finding a mysterious green ooze in a bottle with a label "cures cancer" and taking a sip.
