  • I saw this video a few months ago and now I'm a big fan of this tea. It's so easy to make and I drink all the time while listening to a tape of Indian music which I bought at the Indian store where I found cardamom. I love this tea so much now I'm thinking to take a trip to India !!! Thanks again for the video.

  • I add; black pepper, cardamon, ginger, cloves, cinnamon, sugar and milk into black tea.

    sometimes brown sugar,and nutmeg. peace^^

  • @RENEDU2 Thanks for watching my video and sharing your comments!

  • thanks for sharing the tip..well i want to know how many cardamom did you use for 2 cups?

  • @missfaizamalik You are welcome! Though thanks for watching my video and posting your comment! I just used what ever I can grab with my thumb and finger. However, you can use more or less to your taste. Hope you will figure out the amount of cardamom you need in your tea! Good Luck!

  • love this video! and tea. Is there a tea that you can make with clove though?

  • @StacyAnnMusic Thank you for watching my video and posting your comments! Yes....you can make tea with clove. You can add whole clove or in grounded clove in the tea instead of Cardamom and ginger or with cardamom and ginger together. Though the tea will be spicy. So try little initially and add more if it does not give enough flavor. Hope you will like your tea! Enjoy!

  • Wow! it looks amazing, but too much sugar! I drink mine with 0 sugar and no milk. But I will definitely try this one. It looks very good.

  • @Bellebouttique Thank you watching my video and posting your comments! No sugar and no milk is an option too if you like that way. Though thanks for trying with sugar and milk. Hope you will like it. Enjoy!

  • I enjoyed your video very much, especially the moment when the tea almost overflew and you turned off the gas in the last second.

  • @stefansvideosite Thanks for watching my video and posting your comments!

  • Thankyou for your video, you have a cute smile. :-)

  • @curiousSOUL22 You are welcome. Though thanks for watching my video and posting your comment!

  • @253able Me too!!! I know it tastes delicious! Any way, thanks for watching my video and posting your comment!

  • I had Indian tea in villages across India when I was there. It was the best tea I had ever tasted; even using fresh unpasteurised cows milk and water from a well. (everything boiled, it was okay). Every time I visited a shop, or a hotel, or a village, I would ask for the same tea. I think the smell of Indian tea, and the taste, and the act of giving it is what I miss most about India. Thank you for this video I will try and make it for myself and my friends.

  • @Cmdouse You are welcome! Though thanks for watching my video and sharing your experience in India about tea!!! I guess minerals in water and the mike from cow (local feed to cow) and possible some other combination creates a unique taste that you cannot replicate at any other place. Good luck making your very own tea! I am sure you will enjoy it and hope you won't have difficulty making it.

  • Thanks a lot for the recipe. Now I found cardamom I'm going to make one for myself right now!

  • @anamurbar You are welocome! Good luck! Hope you won't have difficulty making it. I am sure you will enjoy your very own cup of tea. Though thanks for watching my video and posting your comment!

  • I didn't know chai is so easy to make ! I think I can make this tea myself but I have to get cardamon from the store first. Thanks for the video.

  • @betweenyouandsky You are welcome! Though thanks for watching my video and posting your comment! The chai is not hard to make. I hope you will find cardamom without difficult. Good luck making tea and I am sure you will enjoy your very own cup of tea.

  • who else was bored and just typed tea in the search bar... i think i am the only one...

  • @bestdudeever765 Thanks for watching my video and posting your comment!

  • I am gonna go make myself a cup of tea!

  • @adorebeauty0 Good Luck!!! Hope you won't have difficulty making it. Enjoy! Also, thanks for watching my video and posting your comment!

  • Thank you ! I hope to try this recipe. Sounds great !

  • @OGADable You are welcome! Though thanks for watching my video and posting your comment! Good luck and hope you will like it.

  • You can eliminate the need for the sansi if you just get a pot with an attached handle. Preferably one made out of Pyrex which will reduce the contaminates from boiling water in a metal container.

  • @utubeworms Yes...that is an option if it works for you. Though thanks for watching my video and posting comment!

  • @Jean007pat Seems like the sensible option since you eliminate the almost certain occurrence of the sansi slipping and splattering boiling hot water all over yourself.

  • This is so helpful. Thank you so much. I'm gonna try to make this again. I have tried a couple of times already but I can't seem to get the taste of the one i have tried in one of the Indian restaurant in my hometown.. (cebu phils.) I liked it so much.

I just wonder if you can share how to cook some of the popular veggie dish in India. I so love to know. :-)

  • @TONInhere10 You are welcome! Though thanks for watching my video and posting your comment!

  • this is so helpful.. thank you so much. im gonna try to make this again.. i have tried a couple of times already...but i know there's always something missing. I can't seem to get the taste of this tea---the one i have tried from one of the Indian restaurants in my hometown (in the phils.). I liked it so much.

i wonder if you can share how to cook some of the popular veggie dish in India. I so love to know. :-)

  • This looks yummy but can you please tell me how much of the ingredients to add? I see how many tea bags and how much water and milk, but how much ginger, cardamom and sugar? Can I use ground cardamom? Thank you :)

  • @sarababe74 Thanks for watching my video and posting your comments!!! If you never had ginger before in your tea, try adding a small amount before you venture out for more, please take a look at 0:25 min video, the ginger in the bowl is for 2 mugs of tea. You can probably start with half that amount for 2 mugs of tea and if you still do not feel taste of ginger in your tea, add more next time. There is no fix amount of ginger you have to add, it depends on your taste bud. same for sugar & carda

  • Thank you for the delicious recipe! :) Cheers!

  • 5 people drink starbucks coffee

  • @SkyF0X9 Thanks for watching my video and posting comment! Though I am not sure relevance of your comment to this video.

  • @Jean007pat What he meant was the 5 people that disliked this wonderful video. He meant that they are idiots that drink starbucks(a famous coffee/tea brewer/shop) instead of making their own Chai Tea! WONDERFUL VIDEO! :D

  • @FooWeeSan Thanks for the clarification! I understand the comment fully now.

  • @Jean007pat Oh ya! I wanted to ask whether the ginger you used was old or young? Thanks! :D

  • Awesome. Thanks for sharing this!

  • @Llyander You are welcome. Though thanks for watching my video and posting your comment!

  • Thanks for sharing! In many homes cardamom is added much earlier to the tea and doing so tends to wear-off/diminishes the cardamom flavor - not a good thing. Here, and also at an Indian restaurant, I noticed that cardamom is the last ingredient added just before removing the tea from heat. Hence, flavor is preserved and robust .. what I'd label "The Secret" :-)

(btw .. i also use cinnamon and cloves .. but not a requirement of course .. more suitable during colder months i think ..)

  • @write2robinram Thanks for your catchy comments and watching my video!!!!

  • Jean007pat thank you so much! This is great. Now I don't have to go to an Indian Restaurant and pretend to order food just to have their yummy chai tea. : )

I will try this at home. However, instead of investing in a plier, I think I'll use a pot, the kind that comes with a long handle. Also instead of mortar and pestle, I might use a coffee grinder. By the way, Starbucks shouldn't even carry chai tea...they don't even come close. Home-made is the best!

  • @Bugzette Yes...you don't have to have a plier if you have a way around and same for mortar and pestle as long as you can grind cardamom or any other spice you use. Any way, thanks for watching and posting your comments! Good Luck in making tea and I am sure you will enjoy!!!!

  • You dont need friggin plyers, just use a towel

  • @flamenite45 Ok, what is the advantage of using towel over plyer? Can you get a good grip over pot with towel? Any way, thanks for watching and posting your comment!

  • @Jean007pat My family uses a towel , it helps get a better grip.

  • @flamenite45 Good that your family figured out better grip with towel! I do have a pair of plyers so I am going to keep using them.

  • @cmoapat You are welcome! Though thanks for watching my video and posting your sweet comments! Hope you are enjoying tea!

  • what kind of tea did u purchase for the tea bags?

  • @sorsaria I used "Lipton" brand regular tea bag. However, you can use any other brand or type of tea bag that you like. You can use "loose tea" instead of tea bag. You can buy "loose tea" from from local Indian grocery store or on-line. Good Luck! Any way, thanks for watching my video and posting your comment!
