I love metal too. But metal went stale for the most part. If metal musicians hadn't let rock and metal get stale, HipHop wouldn't be dominating almost every major music market in the entire world. Don't blame HipHop. :)

@bigge525 ; Well, that is just a matter of taste. Hip hop has become mainstream because it is more easily marketed than metal because of the thematic found in hip hop.

Metal has become obscure to most mainly because it lacks interesting popular thematic. Most people I know who do not like metal simply also just do not have the musical abilities to appreciate quick paced melodies or different chord schemes besides simple D-A-G songs. They refer to it as "noise".

Het ene vind jij normaal, omdat het een positieve eigenschap betreft. Het andere niet, omdat het een negatieve betreft.

@rigobeats Agree in a way, but listen to the black album from jay-z with the pete rock instrumentals some of his songs are dope as F..K and it made me appreciate his flow much more (the cd jayz vs nas is also a goood one in woch you can see that jay z got some skills), about 50 cent is a "genius" in that his lyrics sucks but he's putting together some easy listening hip hop if you know what i mean (some of his songs are really good to pump you up for a good heavy bag session for exemple...)
