I think it has relation to the lyrics, cause life's Sweet & Low... he talks about times when you feel down, and times when you feel alive. It's sweet but artificial... not entirely sweet.
I prefer the ep version of the song though

Sweet n' Low is now my sugar of choice.
In hopes that the wrappers I use are the ones that Beirut rolled around in. Even in for a brief moment. I love Beirut. Thank you for this video.
