i draw this with some outside english come just before the side pocket, or depending on the angle just beyond it, then the outside english should run you around th table an dback to the 9. good shot but never had the need to do this.
This is a very simple shot in a new cloth like that one, it is played in 3 cushion all the time, he had an easy angle for that, if it would have been too difficult he wouldn't play it, he's a pro and they play percentages. Besides the great talent Rodney is.
@demonbre it would actually be more of a show of to give it dead inside english to the nine which would of been a lot riskier than doing what he just did and control his speed

the americans learned the use of TIP from the europians ... i m not sure maybe it was shown by the famous MINGAUD....
so the americans started to call it english ...coz without tip they always had to shoot straight in the center !
