@SIG551P Asshole, if you think system and network administration isn't a real job, then you should just shut the fuck up. It is one of the most stressful and spontaneous jobs out there, and takes a large amount of intelligence and technical skill. You have to deal with the real idiots who don't know anything about computers, as well as defend against internal and external threats. In some cases, you can lose your job if you make a single mistake. Never call a respected profession worthless.
@SIG551P Have you checked out IT salaries recently? Many of them reach into the 100K range! And if you're view of this position is a server "mechanic," then you are a complete tool. I'm guessing you feel really smart whenever you find out that you're computer won't turn on because it's not plugged in!

if in any case the sys admin has to fire someone I'm sure they'll ask HR for tips instead of watching a video, notice this video only brings out negative comments because of negative content.
I always thought a system administrator manages the SYSTEM sector of the company, and leaves the firing to Human Resources while the sys admin may just delete the ex-employees account, oh wait your firing the sys admin?!?! well he/she is not going to fire them selves thats HR, again why mention firing staff???
you should make a positif and attractive video for the future administrator peoples not talking about FIRING... this video is to sell.... you could pass an add in your local newspaper

@nova613 Yeah, enjoy being a mechanic for servers basically. Just take up a job in fast food, it pays better.

Step 1. Go to book store
Step 2. Go to networking section.
Step 3. Pick up a book and start reading.
"Networking" is a huge and broad subject. I dont think you realize that.
