I think chip music is inundated enough right now with dance music. I love dance music, but it's "easy"; a good way to break into the scene, and to tracking. I won't presume beyond my ken, and make assumptions on his behalf, but it seems to me that Nullsleep is maybe trying to recontextualize chip music to some extent. Yeah you maybe can't move to his new stuff like the old, but this stuff is rewarding in it's own way, and is pushing the chip music scene further, not letting it sit stagnant....

On the contrary, I think this track is a good example of the slow-building play with dynamics that has become a welcome staple of his new songs. Some music requires a little more than a cursory listening and flippant comments below betray the unwillingness of the commenter to actually pay attention. Despite being hard and loud, his new music is actually quite subtle. I for one think that is a really cool combination. Also, fucking amazing viz Rosa and Paris!

the security guard made several appearances on stage during the course of Blip Festival, not just during his set. Even if that were true though, perhaps it's because last year some clown thought it would be funny to get on stage and try to mess with his equipment while he was performing...

Nullsleep deserved it, his music has become shit dance with hardly any soul in it. Ill agree that this was one of his better songs during the set, but i thought his set was overall pretty awful, and maybe he should have seen it as a message when that man got up on stage and stopped him. In the end his music is no where as big as his ego, and until he is able to put a little bit of meaning into it, i will not be a fan
