I used to own this game. This ending is awesome! I used to watch my uncle play it back when I was a teen, but then I got it with my very first PS2 along with Tekken Tag Tournament for Christmas one year. I got scared the first time I saw this sequence and Fortinbras gave me nightmares. It's not so scary anymore now that I'm much older. Believe it or not, in the beginning, I had a huge crush on Samanosuke :P

Actually, The blade Samanosuke used in this is the same as Leviathan(Ice, 5 hit combo, broadsword) in Dawn of Dreams.

1 thing i h8ed bout dawn of dreams is that the weapons u got there where all just recycled from previous onimusha games. they werent even gotten from somewhere special. they were mostly in a random box, even though they r supposed to b magical. u dont even get a cool 1st weapon obtained cutscene. u just start off with it. none of the weapons in that game r unique and some were completely ruined.

Couln't have agreed with you any more 007. I hate that like all the weapons are so alike. None of them are unique. Like in Onimusha 3...each weapon had its own special 10 hit combo, magic, and charge attacks. In Onimusha 2 each weapon had its own charge attack, special combo, and magic. Onimusha 4 is still good, just not as good.

i don get it though in this one he got the gaunlet he has froma clan of ogers that other demons wouldn let in to the rest of the demon clan an gave it to him to kill the other guys. but in the other ones its not ogers but the oni clan.

I actually like Jubei's the best cause when you transform, you get to shoot oni magic out of your hand. Samanoske can just stab his sword in the ground and oni magice blasts up.

When samonaske (I dont remember how to spell it) went all beast like that, it reminded me a little too much of devil may cry. the game was fun, but just a little bit too short. the final boss battle took me awhile but it was worth it in the end. (panda suit=THE GREATEST OUTFI EVER)

i remember days when onimusha was just out on ps1 along with devil may cry. that was 2001 july. but they were only on ps1 and in 2001 ps1 cost Hell $. so i waited little bit [7 years :D] ant now ive got Original Onimusha 4 on ps2[not very happy with it but still keeping on my wall as trophy :D] now searching for onimusha 1 n 2, cause 1 n 2 onimusha got high quality sequences[unlike onimusha 3 n most of onimusha 4] and realistic JAPANEESE people[unlike onimusha 3 AND Especialy 4]

Ok heres how it goes. In Onimusha 2 Jubei didnt die, no one knew what happened to him. In Onimusha 3 there was alot of in-game clues that he could be alive somewhere, and that he ran away with Oyu. But he doesnt come back. At the end of Onimusha 3, Samanosuke used up his oni powers to kill Nobunaga by absorbing Nobunaga into his gauntlet, making him as old as he is in number 4.

the fifth part of onimusha will be build up by the storyline of part 4 with soki etc. ... i think it would be better to use samanosuke's old line, but capcom doesn't :((

i like'd all 4 games , the second wasn't as good as the others were but the first was the best of all :)

needed 2,06 h for the first, 5h for the second :(, 3,18 for the third and ... 14h for a 100% completishin' run :s for the fourth ... never tried a speed run on the games but i think i will test and upload it :D

They have never done that in Onimusha yet. And I doubt they ever will. My guess is if there is a 5th onimusha it will include Jubie (from Onimusha 4) and possibly Ohatsu and Tenkai.

^no, im right. part 5 will be a jumping-slashing-and Rpg- part including Tenkai/Samanosuke, Soki & a new Chara i think called Kai ( a double Sword fighter )

The Story is simple: Tenkai has turned many years old due to his gaunlet, trying to fight the last remaining Genma, and is reaveling his true ID. But thanks to Soki, the Genma were only slightly damaged. what happens then, i cant really say....

Kai finds out about the whole stuff, and moves out alone at first. followed by Samanosuke & ako

Onimusha 1 and 3 were the best. Oni 2 sucked. Samanosuke was the best and most powerful Oni warrior and Kaede was the best female Oni character.
