I have been thinking about this some more and am going to do Forget You because I have an acoustic backing track which is perfect for it. It is also slightly shorter and doesn't need cutting down like the Alicia Keys number. And there are fewer people doing it, with quite a few doing If I Ain't Got You. Besides it is my feel good song. :) Not long now! Anyone going to come and support me? I would love you forever! xxx

Do the Alicia Keys song. It will show your vocal range.

Never do an original in a competition unless it for originals. It's just too big of a chance. I would also always do the clean version in competitions. You just never know who you might offend. I really like the way you did Crossroads. Good Luck Brigid.

@odesr Thanks for that. I think you are right about the original and that is really a good tip about the explicit version maybe offending. I hadn't considered this I think. Brigid I don't know who the judges are and taste may differ there from here in the USA but I would just do what I felt the most at ease singing but something you can put it all on the table. Yor're a good singer so give it all you got and I do like Crossroads. Doc R is a good band and you are a great addition to it.

My least favourite of those is the Cee Lo Green and an original would be a brave decision (although I really like Live High) so it's the Alicia Keys for me. Good luck.

I agree with @WrenFreya! If I Ain't Got You is a good choice, and Live High is certainly a possibility. Though- Live High might be harder to make an impression with as you cannot take the whole band on stage. :(

The Alicia Keys song is a good choice, although.... I do LOVE your original song if you're feeling bold enough to do that one. It's got a good beat and melody.

Since I'm in the US, I can't come but the 22nd is my birthday so I will be thinking of you.
