  • Forgot how much I loved this song. Until now....

  • T'Pau should've bigger than it was the lead singer has a great voice

  • I Wish I Could Have Been In The 1980s Its Not Fuckin Fare

  • @babyimawantyou

yes you missed the 80's...too bad for you. The years of big sound... of advances in music and technology beyond most peoples comprehension. You keep me hanging on...Kim Wilde. Awesome song.

  • @babyimawantyou

oh i forgot animotion too...obsession.... it rocks

  • Grand Theft Auto The Lost & Damned

  • So many great songs in the 80s and this is right near the top! A simple song but there is a lot going on in the background - vocals, synthesisers and bass. These producers in the 80s were musical geniuses.

  • I think this shows that ALL genres of music were much better in the 80s than they are now.... they couldn't rely ENTIRELY on synthesized music, and there were SO MANY artists out there that you HAD to have skills to prosper.

  • great song! fun memories of all the girls singing it in the car when our parents were driving........good times!! And i actually think the video direction aint bad, even for todays standards.

  • The is probably my favorite one-hit wonder of all time! (At least in the states.)

  • @sneeyize45 This song was big in Canada too.. but we had even more good music

  • Thumb up if you know how to use the buzzard the right way :D

  • I'll tell you what ruined music of today, rap "music" and the fact record execs just leave their artists to their own defenses. There is no artist development and maintenance anymore. Oh, and AutoTune. Music does really suck today

  • @SpazChat hey debbie downer, nobody here cares about your ignorant opinions on rap music. p.s. this song kicks ass!

  • @SparksDrinker , Hey dumb ass, I wasn't including this song in the list of bad songs. I know it was recorded in popular in the 80's

  • @SpazChat wow, you are calling me dumb ass? your reading comprehension needs work. i know u werent including this song, i was making the point that its strange you chose to talk about rap music (which you know nothing about) instead of enjoying this awesome song.

  • @SparksDrinker , No perhaps it's your expression and eloquence that needs work. No reason to waste any more carpal tunnel on you

  • @SpazChat haha you know i caught you, just admit it. you love this kind of music and you don't like rap, so therefore this song is good and rap is bad. thats a very close minded opinion.

  • @SparksDrinker People pretty much saying how much more they are enjoying this song that any of todays cRAP music.. They are praising this "kick ass song" not complaining, you should just support it thumbs it up don't tell people what to say, especially since they are right that is why its said so much.. Most genres of music really do suck now, producers can make a hit out of a Pineapple... People aren't complaining or trying make you feel down they are loving this music.. they miss it!

  • @weirdscience85 so let me get this straight, you say i shouldn't tell people what to say, but you are telling me what to say. how ironic.

  • T'Pau took their name from a Star Trek character. Original series that is. The best of them.

  • Tanya Harding? ... LOL

  • This song was hot when it came out, still is. I thought it was a sexy song.

  • When this first came out I thought there was another woman besides Carol Decker in the group!

  • Love love love this song

  • Dagn, awesome clip and Carol Decker looks gorgeous and like two diff persons

  • i miss the best years...the best music.

  • e=mc2 a-bomb

  • reminds me of my first wife.beautiful

  • Redhead equals hard on. The music is awesome but it is made even more erotic because of her presences.

  • playing this now! luv this

  • 11 OUT OF 10.

  • This songs on gta motha fuckers

  • This is awesome! Thank-you EMI - even with the commercial.

  • 1987.....first song I heard on the radio in my rental car in Florida...........am 47 & still love it !!!!

  • I'm a FETUS and I'm typing this from inside my mommy's vajayjay.

I remember the days when music was good 4 months ago, now it sucks.

Those zygotes are listening to some nonsense that I can't even understand

And don't get me started on the noise that this young generation swimming around with their big heads and tails are playing

  • @bluenotejazz thats all I want those lil pop tarts to do, give just a little bit of heart and soul. Not be some automoton

  • @bluenotejazz What up D, I gave you some thumbs for the comedy.

  • @bluenotejazz Priceless!!

  • @bluenotejazz thank you for the laugh

  • @bluenotejazz That might be the best comment I've ever read on YouTube.

  • @bluenotejazz Funny! Except that you'd be past the vajayjay and actually in the uterus... :)

  • @bluenotejazz lol damn that was creative...lol

  • im 42 and i don't give a shit. can we just listen to the music?

  • She had a real pretty mouth.

  • I can't believe I'm apart of today's generation, sorry everyone for what shit heads have done to music.

  • little bit of heart and soul for a life full of pain and torment xxx

  • I would like to get the lyrics, some are difficult to make out. Great tune.

  • You dont have to slag off the music of today to enjoy the music of yesterday.

  • The hair spray industry was raging as was hair gel lol

  • one of the best songs EVER

  • I've seen this video many times before, but I noticed something new today.....you might think there are four people in T'Pau (singer, guitarist, bassist, drummer) since they appear all throughout the video. But then, near the very end of the video, the keyboardist pops up for only two seconds and that's it. lol Must have been camera shy or something. :) Or else he wasn't as "hot" as the others.

  • Actually, I take that back. We see his fingers for a few seconds at the beginning lol and his jacket a little bit during the first verse. Maybe he had hot fingers and a hot jacket. :) Or else, he could be the guy dancing in the background shadows...

  • The Ballad of Gay Tony!!!

  • T'Pau, back when music was REAL MUSIC. Oh how I miss those days. I feel like the children of today are getting jipped in the music/song department. Today's music is so full of rage, hate, anger, violence, and sex, sex, sex. Back when I was a kid we had Paula Abdul, Phil Collins, Gloria Estefan, Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, Cyndi Lauper...etc. They mostly sang about (true) love or the loss of it. The 1980's were definitely a different time a place in many, many ways.

  • @SexyLilLezNTx

todays kids will feel as you do when theyre older.

  • 80's hair styles were just great

  • 44 persons like the reggaeton

  • I'm a fetus, and I listen to rock and roll from the 70's. "Heart and Soul" is a cool song, though.

  • One of my favorite songs of all time.

  • such a great song.....this should be the gb olympic song at 2012.

  • Carole Decker rocks!

  • I still love this song ^_^

  • Most certainly one of the best songs of the 80's! :-D Sitting under the tree in Campus center at lunch time and all the awesome songs playing while we ate lunch as a teen or hanging out in our cars listening to this song. Laughing and carrying on about our dreams and hopes and feeling like nothing would ever stand in our way. Oh the carefree life of being a teen. I so miss it and I totally miss the 80's. There has just never been a time like that again. The 80's rocked! :-)

  • i loved the 80s and miss that time of my life very much

  • never ever will there be a decade like the 1980s

  • 41 star wars fans?

  • I Love this song. I've been listening to it since the late 80's

  • @mysteryplane2001 lol i have other plans and I would make a crap musician

  • I searched this after watching brian and stewie sing this when they got vanished from the universe

  • I miss the 80's!

  • I love fluffy-haired women with pouty lips.

  • Boy, those Vulcan chicks sure can sing.

  • You can say what you like about the 80's (everyone else does) but you must admit we knew how to do Epic Hair. :)

  • another great 80ies song. Thanks for it.

  • I love her earrings in this

  • @jrmetmoi I do too; they're kindof gothic looking.

  • Wonderful Power Voices of the 80s, she was very understated as an artisit, but fantastic vocal range in my view.

Thanks for the clip and journey back...........

  • I always blast this song on my MP3 player. I love the beat the lyrics and how it was done.

  • im 13 and I hate todays music I wish I was born in the 60s to be 20 in the 80s when the world was perfect I mostly only listen to 80s music

  • @0wexfaron Think of it this way: your alive now so that you can help remind a deprived world of what real music is.

  • @freebirthscum that is a very good way ill try that thanks ;D

  • @0wexfaron at 13 you already have great taste! Respect!!!

  • @0wexfaron You're right ... there were some great classics then.

  • @0wexfaron I remember the 80s very well it was so much better the spirit was so different back then even in the early 90s.. but the world was never perfect in any decade it wasn't good everywhere in the 80s but everything was a lot more simple which I thought was better... also back there was still a lot more predudice than today but of course its still around.. same with the 70s those years were good too.. people were a lot nicer.. I praise younger kids who look back at those years

  • @0wexfaron I was born in the 70s and I still listen to all these 80s tunes. they were cool, sounded great. They had more power and less hate. Its true, 60s - to around 90 the music was really cool. Listen to whatever you like. Dont matter how old it is.

  • @0wexfaron i am nearly 24 and i agree with your comment, keep classics alive!!!!

  • @0wexfaron I'd like someone to diagnose what the problem is. Spell it out for everyone. I think a lot of people growing up today have less stability. Some are future Artists. You probably won't hear peace, tranquility, and love from them. Rage is more like it. I view rap as a result of kids not getting proper Music lessons as children.

  • @OingoBoingoMe I think the 50% outrageous Divorce rate and Computers have something to do with it. Society in general is lesser than human today. Not a lot of personal going on. Take a pill! If you write a relational Song, you actually have to care. People don't today! It's all fast food! Bells and whistles, rap crap!

  • @OingoBoingoMe And then of course there's Corporate NIT WITS!

  • Then you have to consider the Abortion rate which knocked off a lot of Artists that can't be hear to declare it! What was it 1973 Abortion was "legalized?" The Pill came around in the 60's. Most people aren't having many children anymore.

  • @0wexfaron I think it's more what's shoved down their throat than tastes. Some just follow the crowd. This is true for most people unfortunately. Music companies know they can spit out crap and someone will watch. Especially stuff that appeals to the lowest common denominator.

  • @0wexfaron I loved this even when I was 13... You would want to be born between mid 60s & mid 80s to remember this.. I remember when this song came out I was just little

  • @0wexfaron It's amazing, how many kids say that nowadays; it really was a better day for popular music when I was your age (1981.)

  • @0wexfaron todays music is not to listen its to be made fun off or backrounds for when ur making fun of russian tv

  • haha yeah the world was perfect in the 80's. thats a good one.

  • Somebody should make a music video composed of all the love scenes from Star Trek episodes and movies with this song....

  • One word,Hydroponic !

  • Remember going to see them at Leeds Tram Shed back in the 80s spent most of the night up a lighting scaffold just to see Carol Decker. Sadly both the band and the venue have long gone just memories...

  • I love her voiceover.

  • This song is awesome

  • she bustin' a rhyme,lol

  • Woot! I grew up with these people! i love what they did, Ihope their lives turned out as well as mine! I hope your life has turned out as well

  • great song, less clicks.. i do not understand the music taste of the kids today..

  • Isn't digitally remastering T'pau rather redundant?

  • T'pau were huge in the uk in 90's , or was i dreaming of Carol';s ginger pussy too much

  • I just heard this on the way home and I BLASTED IT! Still so good!

  • This song still kicks ass!

  • I'm a "metalhead" and I love this song!

  • I agree with below, she was hot.

  • Carol Decker..the sexiest redhead on the planet. (or was).:)

  • @Matiboy75 Yeah man, she had some bad plastic surgery as the years went on, alas.

  • Love this song already in my favorites! go post cuppycake song for your sweet cupcake girl teresa goodnight!

  • so many haters....calm down dears!

  • Craptacular!!!

  • prima superiore...primo anno in collegio...mi viene da piangere!!

  • Whats this vevo shit ? Get enough advertising everywhere else I look. x

  • Oh and at the Pope...he is not Christianity..he is Roman Catholicism. Which were the ones who murdered thousands of Christians.

I am a Christian and I believe that if you are not abiding by the law of God, through the ten commandments...your consequence is death.

Yes, I do sin..no I don't bash people who do not believe..I simply pray for them and try my best to live an acceptable lifestyle towards God.

Also God loves sex..as long as you do it by marriage.

  • @NightGuard88 It is a misguided myth that Catholics are not Christians. Catholics are Christians by definition - belief in Christ. There are many varieties or stems of Christianity... Lutheran, Baptist, etc... and maybe you believe that only one of them is really "correct," but that doesn't mean any of them aren't Christian...

  • Twistedsoul28..the 10 commandments weren't made until many years after the flood. And He promised to never flood the world again.

If you parents tells you to do something and you dont, what happens? You get in trouble. So the consequences of a whole (known world) of people who disobeyed their father...was death. Same as it will be in the end time. All those who do not obey will spend eternity in the pits of hell fire and brimstone.

  • speaking of Christianity, what about when a person could buy the position of Pope? and that one of those "Popes" created parchments stating that if people bought them they would get into heaven?

not only that but what about the genocide "God" committed when he "flooded" the earth to get rid of all the "sinners" who were committing all forms of debauchery in his eyes?

"thou shall not kill" ---yeah... do as i say not as i do.

  • azkeyz.. you seem to be a hard core Christian who thinks that if someone doesn't think the way you do that they're automatically on the wrong course in life.

you throw the word "Americans" around like you know what you're talking about but you don't. i think it's amusing that you're generalizing a whole country in your mis-guided views.

  • the 60s 70s 80s , and still americans haven't seemed to learn that sex is not god.

  • That's one of the biggest major items that has killed the 80s music

You got groups of people in this world that don't appreciate a porno as a music video.

  • Comment removed

  • some scripture comming to mind at the moment.

bible says don't listen to female vocals because it can seduce people to the dark side.

that means seduce people back into paganism where sex is god.

don't fall for it , you don't have to make sex your god in every damn song.

  • Other items about this track can explain it's popularity.

    1. the lyrics paint a picture of moon light and shadows , this can excite a goth

    2. it's soft and sensual ( in the usual pagan way of 80s lyrics

    3. it's female vocals , and there are two melodic lines , this situation has been repeated a few times , nightwish amaranth comes to mind.

  • Why ? because it took a new approach than what american ears were accustom to.

The american mind likes it when there are enough things going on in the track to keep their minds interested , we like lots of layers.

This track reintroduced the idea of musical layers to the critical listeners.

  • Haven't seen this mentioned yet. T'Pau (the actress, at least) was the first Mrs. Peter Lorre. Great actress. I always thought it was cool the band was named after her. :)

  • @Gaslight61375: The actress in question who played her was Celia Lovsky.

  • one of the smartest pop songs ever, figure out why.....

  • T'Pau was the only Vulcan to ever turn down a seat on the Federation Council & she was in charge of Spock's Wedding.

  • GTA IV brought me here!

  • She looks like Fegie "The dutchess" not the other......

  • I love this song, it never gets old. Just umm ..don't tell anyone.

  • if ur here cuz of family guy'

  • A chick love song that dudes can listen to

  • We should totally bring back permed hair and those giant doorknocker earrings.

  • @amandawaterman I'm all for that!

  • I don't think I'll ever outgrow this 80's gem!

  • was she a fan of star trek?

  • T'Pau, wasnt that the name of Mr. Spocks Mother on the old Star Trek shows? Regardless, this was a real popular song back in the summer of '87. My CD player went in my truck, so Im forced to listen to...cassettes! (OMG) Popped one in that I had made back in 1987, and this classic tune is on it! LOVE IT!!!!

  • @donnydcyclops No Spock's mother was called Amanda. T'Pau was a Vulcan priestess.

  • @donnydcyclops T'Pau was the leader of the Syrranites, the Vulcan faction that believed the Vulcan High Command had corrupted and twisted the teachings of Surak. A few very good episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise season 4 deal with her. She was also the vulcan who officiated over Spock's failed wedding in the orginal series

  • @cerealkiller1124 you mean.... T'Pau was not Spock's Mama?

T'Pau had such an awesome charisma about her. T'Pau was Untouchable.

  • @DancingSpiderman Spock's mother was human, Amanda Grayson.

  • @cerealkiller1124 Amanda Grayson, played by Jane Wyatt.

Thanks for the info, cerealkiller1124 !

  • @cerealkiller1124 SCI FI NERD LMAO

  • One of my favorite 80's song. I can remember my cousin and I each lipsyncing one side of the vocals. :-)

  • Great tune! Love the dual vocal layer.

  • thumbs up if you came here cause this is an OBG and you wanted to remember better days!!

  • Thumbs up if you are sick and fucking tired of the following types of posts:

    1. "Thumbs up if you came here because of "x".

    2. I am only "x" years old, but I love this song.

Christ, if I read one more comment about someone listening to a song because of Family Guy or some random commercial or a comment about someone being only 15 years old but still liking a song, I am going to fucking kill someone.

  • @masanf hey how bout u start with yourself?

  • Comment removed

  • @dcinhere

Hey, how about you learn how to spell. Christ, if you are too fucking lazy to spell out the word "you" and "about", you should go shoot yourself. So why don' t you go do that, douchebag?

  • @masanf i agree but one quick thing. thumbs up if you came here from family also im 14 years old but i still like the song

  • I LOVE THE ADS! lol WARRIOR LOOKS GREAT!!! THE ROCKY OF THE MILLENNIUM! Is it ME or does that chick want you to know SHE SINGS this song?
