hi!!thank you for this video, it brings back memories!!gone are the days of good and clean television shows. thanks again and gary is so cute. now he is in a much bettter place rip
im 12 so im still growing up with all thses stupid shows i wish they made good shows like this now cuz now its all crap on tv thats y im alwatz on da computer
@cherrypop4998 how right you are my darling!!! same with me here, i'm always on ythe computer too(youtube particularly) so i can bring back the old good days of television
It's hard to believe Gary was already 10 when he did this. He was so adorably cute like a little baby and so funny, too. It's so sad that he had to endure so much during his acting career as a child, not just having a kidney disorder, but his parents overworking, exploiting, and stealing from his earnings.
I wonder why they never met Mr drummond before their mama died. If they were so close then you would think that their mom would have bought them over so being there when she died wouln't have been so shocking. Just a thought.
@thecritic2007 oh okay but from the way that they were acting it seems like they never saw him before let alone been to his house. They were amazed at the size of the penthouse.
the money he made from this show his parents was spending it cus he was to young to have a bank account so it was in there name he should have brought him a gun and did ah o.j and ah menidez brothers on them cock suckers for spending his money they both probly hated their jobs and usesd his money to live
you havent seen him lately i take it he barley smiles always have somthing negative to say him and his wife was on divorce court maan the list gose ooon
what happened to the good ole days when the t.v. shows were good and funny, not this reality crap. they should call it fakeality not reality. there is nothing real about it. but these good old sit comms were so good, i wish they would make more.
@tyangell you got me thinking now im not 100percent i just recall them saying somthing about there mum in a later show but i could be wrong now that i rewatch part 3 i think you are right
@tyangell I agree. I think the sitcoms from back in the good ole days (even up into the 90's with Friends, Seinfield and Boy Meets World) were more realistic then this "reality tv" crap that's everywhere nowadays.
@tyangell and life was good too. Our lives reflect what we are blasted with on the television most the time. I agree with your comment. What happened?
maybe less gifts would have been an option. They were probably a little overwhelmed. Less gifts and just get them toadapt. But the show is one of my fondest memories anyhow.
yea like when i was a kid id get picked last from the girls now i have been with some of the hottest girls then the ones that got picked first my life changed
Have you ever heard of donkey basketball??? This pony (not a horse) is the same size as a donkey, and in donkey basketball they play on a floor indoors. Thus the idea that the floor breaks if you have a horse inside is ridiculous.
I liked how Arnold stood up Willis and told it is. Finally Willis realized that Mr Drummond was the guardian that really needed them no matter what color they are or where they are from. Different Strokes is the best sitcom.
Anyone that watches this episode knows the show ill become a success . The show brings back so many memories and is probably my favorite show of all time . There were other shows that I used to watch as a kid but this is the only show I would still enjoy today. Different strokes is one of those shows that will be good for generations to come .
(Sigh)...Just why did Willis and Arnold have to grown up though?? That innocence, the charm, that comedic wit and talent??!! What happened to this happy picture, Different Strokes was tha real shiz though!! and it neva will feel old eva!!
i am not racist... thank you very much... i was just making a fricken comment k? I wanted to know if anything was wrong with his eye, because i have seen stuff like that else wears....
I wasn't born until 1980, so I don't remember the show's beginnings. It almost brings tears to my eyes how much this man loves those kids. I used to think only black people can truly care about black children. But maybe race doesn't matter when a person knows how to love in the first place.
Respect this show Duffed..This is a classic show reguardless of what happened to the cast like Dana Plato R.I.P. You sound just like my dam mom talkin negative about shit you cant do anything about..so shut the fuck up all of ya!!!!!!!!!!!!
arnold is the best one on the show i fel bad for the dad tho he was trying soo hard too be a good caring nice father and he had too do it all by him self.
Diff'rent Strokes was one of the phrases from a song by SLY AND THE FAMIY STONE. The members of that group all made mush of their brains with drugs. Just like Dana Playdough and Todd Bitches.
This show is in a category of it's very own. Color or race has no boundaries. Great to see them get along. Shows are not the same nowadays. Good stuff.
that's pretty crude to say, she was addicted to cocaine for a time like numerous people are. She died of an accidental overdose of painkillers though, cocaine had nothing to do with it. RIP Dana Plato

stargem, MLK used the word negro - was he a racist too?
funny how we always have to change the name for these people: negro, then black, then african american
but whatever name you give them, before too long that name will have a stigma
think about it
