  • not gunna lie, that was played kinda slow, the tempo has to be faster

  • my class in alaska are really good but they don't listen to the teacher ...

  • U need more bass, tubas mostly. Another thing to do is move the drum set onto the bleachers behind the band, that way the band can hear it better and it isn't so strong for every one else

  • i'm from Ellensburg, i'm in band and with only 15 people, we can play that a whole lot better than you guys can. you need a new drummer. whoever your trumpet player is needs to stop taking it up so high, they're ruining the whole thing and aren't blending very well with the rest of your band.

  • IM in the high school band and we blend better then you ur band teacher sucks

  • @1996mami we don't have a teacher, we are completely student run.

  • @jcrod07 Oh but still u guys should still blend better with or without teacher

  • @1996mami My favorite thing about you tube is when a bunch of idiots from high school start talking shit about a recording done on a flip-cam.

    Da best.

  • @apocling What does u recording it with a flip- cam have to do with it.us If guys blended it would have sounded alot better....im not talking shit im just saying u should try and blend better.....im not saying my band is better im saying we BLENDED better i didnt say overall

  • @1996mami It has everything to do with it, you think that a single channel microphone will pick up anything resembling what we actually sound like? Directionally speaking you hear super high pitch instruments and directional instruments much more. We sound unbalanced as microphones on video cameras are designed to boost different levels associated with the human voice, as to make speech clearer not for music recording.

  • @1996mami Get over yourself.

  • You need a better drummer. He is not with the song. He needs to work on it

  • we saw a different band play it in a marching band competition before... our school played it better for pep badn too LOL

i liked it, though we go faster it still sounded cool ^^

  • never heard your band before, but I feel that some bands decide to play it faster for two main reasons: intonation and there is less "space" for errors. When a tune is played faster intonation becomes less of a problem and the tone quality and balance of a group is usually lost. The group also tries not to venture too far away from the original as well.

  • Too Slow~~We play it way faster...

  • the show choir at my high school dances to this song! SOUNDS GOOD!!

  • it sounds great! i love this song for flute its easy and fun! and its true..try not to slur the super fast part for trumpets

  • is this cal poly... the college?

  • yes, this is Cal Poly Pomona's Bronco Pep Band playing at a home basketball game

  • Okay, don't slur those beginning notes. It makes it sound really messy. Otherwise, not too bad.

  • thanks for the advice, but when hearing it live, it sounds a bit different. at times i can see it does get a bit sloppy though
