  • When I click ' create new image' in blender, I don't get a transparent picture, I get a full black one and when I unwrap my object it only shows the wireframe on a white background, no transparency

  • The best tutorial about Blender I' ve ever seen ! Good job! Thanx a LOT!

  • awesome job

  • wtf? Okay, ive turned it to 90 degress, and alonged the edges, so I can put the tapers on. Now how in the hell do I move around my animation and see it as a 3d geometric shape ?? whenever I click somewhere on the screen to move around, it just moves my object. I cant freely look around! Help!

  • How did you include your text on the first picture of your football

  • How did you select that small circle at 2:31

Im just new at blender so i hope you could understand me

    thanks in advance

  • I wanted to say THANKS for all the help.. I just like how simple you make it, you need to work at my school xD Thanks for actually saying the keys you were typing and all.. very much appreciated.. I plan on being in game design/art so this stuff always helps me prepare for that.. cheers

  • When I first added the cube for the laces... When I press S key to scale down after going into wiring mode.. why is it scaling the football tooo.. Even after diselecting both and only selecting the cube...

  • I'm having a very rare issue... relating the color of the texture showing once it's loaded into blender, it appears like it has a higher contrast value or something (since the orange appears red and the dark brown spots are completely black). and this only appears in blender... my file is ok, previewed it in windows (UV layout cutted) and seems perfect... problem comes when I load it into blender, any guess?

  • Could you please do a texture tutorial for both gimp and photoshop

  • Nice Tutorial, but can you make an Cinema4D version of it ?

  • @mexicandude7thst

Mesh menu / Proportional Editing / Enable

  • Hello, thank you for this tutorial, it helped alot. Everything works fine but in the end my normal map is inverted wehen i render it. I created my normal map with gimp btw. I have no idea what to do now. I tried out a lot of setting but nothing worked well. Do you have a solution for this problem?

  • @SyB3riu5 desaturate it and invert it, then do the normal mapping

  • Good work. I am new to Blender and I was struggling to find a good tutorial on using file based textures until I found this. I managed to get it to work using GIMP as well! Thanks!

  • Hi. I got to 39:38 ( YOU click + and get a duplicate material?????) when I do that, I get a brand new material... untextures... how did you do it?

  • You sound like Matte Parkman from Heroes :P

  • How do you get the object tools window?

  • @BigBossTOG Hit "T" on ur keyboard

  • Hey I just wanted to ask: I picked up Blender about a month ago, thought it was a lot of fun, to the point where I'm actually thinking about going to College for this stuff. Any advice on where to learn more things on 3D Modelling in Blender? Especially in uv mapping, because I just suck at that

  • oh and how to move around the object like you did at 02:29

  • @DuoTroubleTV You use alt and move with your mouse.

  • This is awesome but can you answer a question what blender version are you using and is it on mac?

  • THANK U!

  • You need to make better use of blender's mirrors, man! There are three reasons for this:

    less work

    SYMMETRY

the viewers need to know ALL the tricks including mirrors.

  • I couldn't find the proportional editing tool.

  • @Bramblekitty1 Got it! :P

  • blender is really good but I hate the interface, that is why I stick with c4d

  • Thank you man :D

  • nice model, btw you could have saved some time by using array and mirror modifiers.

  • @MattGraeme very very true. Were I modeling this for a client I most certainly would have used some time savers. In making a tutorial, however, I felt it was better to do the long way around so viewers, especially beginners, would learn a little more in depth into the software.

  • It was almost an hour?!?! I thought everything felt like 5 minutes LOL

  • EVERYBODY! I found free textures at cgtexures(dot)com Mabe you have to make an account, or you can just download them...

  • I have a question...

How do you get your blender that cool skin?

Is it the beta version of latest blender?

Plz. answer...Thanx. Your videos helped me alot.

  • Where's that link for the blend and textures man?

  • SUBSCRIBED. THe more the better, will write about you, promote you, teach us blender!

  • u should have just hit the optimal display box below the subdivide box at 8:52

  • Chad, thanks BIG TIME!

Awesome tutorial collection. Really learned a lot from your videos!

  • @Ringo7000 Your very welcome. I'm glad I could be of service. Thanks for watching! I've been out of town recently for the birth of my nephew, but I am back and getting started on a new video. Textures for this tutorial will be uploaded to my website very, VERY soon. Thanks again

  • where's the texture?

  • Hey, I'm halfway through the tutorial right now, and I've gotta say. I really love this, you're a great teacher! lighthearted enough to keep me interested, and then knowledgeable enough to create really convincing results... hope you've got more coming!

  • i tried doing this with a tennis ball thinking it would be easier, but when i rendered it out it made it all smooth but it still looked pretty cool though

  • :o, excelente tutorial... Gracias :D!!! por el aporte.

  • The tutorial is nice, but how can you upload such long videos?

  • @MaximSachs This is the first video I have recorded since making youtube partner. Being partner has its perks. Longer videos is one of them. I hope you enjoy the longer format videos. It enables us here at firechild video to provide much more advanced, in depth content. In short, it means more work for me, but the benefit is all for you!

  • @firechildc What is necessary to become a youtube partner?

  • @firechildc how can i become a partner??!?

  • Do u want me to also send my .blend??

  • @CarnageBunny Sure.

  • No i can mark the seems perfectly well .. I think but when i put in the uv image editor it looks nothing like your and then when i try and do all the texturing stuff it goes retarded

  • @CarnageBunny send me a screenshot of what your getting in the UV image editor. firechildc@gmail.com

  • I can't get the texture to work... I don't think i am unwrap correctly can you help?

  • @CarnageBunny Sure I'll help. Where are you having trouble with the UV? Marking the seams?

  • Thanks for this tutorial. Took out all the guess work for me.

  • @idontcareproductions Glad you enjoyed it. Remember to tell your friends and check out the website (link in description) for much more! Thanks again for watching and the kind words!

  • @firechildc will do! thanks

  • great tutorial, but i am getting distortion when trying to extrude the quarters of the ball along the normals (alt + s). It is not smooth like yours. The edges become very random and jagged. I made sure that proportional editing was turned off too. Do you have any idea what I could be doing wrong? Thanks, and once again, great tutorial...keep 'em coming!

  • @ryanbonos hmm... without being able to see your screen I can't be certain of what could be going wrong... any chance you could upload a video to show me what's happening? Or, better yet, send me your .blend file and I'll take a look. My email is firechildc@gmail.com

  • n!ce tut, but use a mirror modifier ---> easier and faster

  • @L1993H very true. In fact I was going to use a mirror mod, but I decided to do each quarter independently to help people learn the hot keys a little better... memorization through repetition.

  • Great tutorial dude, keep sharing. Thanks.

  • Excellent tutorial. I especially like the fact that you verbally tell us the shortcuts. Most people assume we know what they are and they lose us completely.
