Uhm... I could use some help. I downloaded the file, extracted it to a folder I made specifically for mods, and then transferred it to my game's data (I opened the file location and placed it in the data folder). The mod doesn't show up in the data files, and I can't get it to work! It's extremely frustrating. I managed to somehow make it only show a pink body, dark blue ears, and its mouth. Please help? ;_;

mine has no face just a jaw and black ears, and it came with a body replacer that made every "inch" of her body bright bright pink.

you need custom race fix. Its on TESnexus. It makes him be like "hm, I never saw you before!" and then you can play.

so glad i got it working....need to download cutom race fix,(but it in Oblivion/data for more info about oblivion data go google it) then download ren's beauty back, extract files, (both) and put the contents in oblivion/data (i only put textures in) and it worked. so glad

that's because the games does not read your character or something, things easy all you need to do is to star with a vanilla race no modded ones and when you get to the tunnel change to the one you want in this cases the Mystic elf.

There's a Mystic Elf Race fix, it's about 5kb that allows the game to get past the king; by-passing with the custom race. I don't recall the precise name, but since it's been over a year; other fixes and updates might've been added to the races too. Check planet elder scrolls to see what's new and whatnot. Cheers :)

i am playing a mystic elf and i just installed shivering isle and as soon i went there when i spoke to the man he was talking too fast i couldnt read wut he said, do i need an aditional patch so mystics elves are playable on the expansion? if so where can i get this patch?

I played my mystic elf in both expansion packs, and I never had any problems with just the original elf mods installed. I think it just might be a glitch. Possibly try updating; it might perhaps help. I always keep mods on hand in one single folder in case I have to re-install the game. Sometimes some mods conflict with each other. Hope that helps. @Playlistamac it is a glitch, it even happens on consoles usually when taht happens just look through walthroughs so u know what youre doing but in oblivion what you do is pretty obvious

Hello, Please help me i have Beautiful People mod downloaded....(which includes Ren's Mystic Elves) and idk what to do to activate it, my meshes,textures, and sounds are ".bsa files" so therefore i cannot open them to extract the meshes from the mod to the meshes of the game. Please help!

Thanks for watching the video; it's been almost a year since I modded these elves, heh. As far as I recall; if the textures don't appear right or you end up with wonky body parts; the root files from the folders might have to be moved/dragged (Extracted if possible) to the appropriate folders outlined in the readme. Always make sure to backup. Sometimes this means copy and pasting the ENTIRE contents of one folder into the main oblivion folders. Hope that helps; if not try the TES forum. :)

Mods are simple to install.

First you need a program that unzips files. Winrar or 7zip for the best.

Second download your mod.

Go to the file and click and drag it into your data folder.

Click yes to everything it won't screw anything up.

Yeah i have the exact same problem, extracted the files to the data folder which is installed @ Programfiles, enabled them from the data folder.. and yeah, same thing happens.. Someone please help :/

u need the hair mod as well, or it wont work. And be sure to re-instal the elf mod before installing the hair mod, or the game will fuck up, i did that and i had to reinstall the whole game.

Just take all of the folders, put them in your data folder, and if it asks you to overwrite something, just..press yes to all, thats how most mods are installed, if howerver you want to be sure how some mod is installed, it usually comes with a readme..and once its installed, just..click data files on the oblivion launcher, and check the file.. you're all good.

i got that a couple of times. i downloaded again from tesnexus and then used winrar to unzip and it worked fine. it might be when ur unzipping prompt windows come up and ask if you want something to be replaced or merged. just click yes to all of em and it should work.

This is beyond a joke I installed rens_beautypack_full.ESP addrace thingy and now I have the Eyes the tatoo man and woman but there BALD! i've looked through all the meshes and textures but there is no hair! Make sure you've copied out the data/mesh/texture files from the folders entirely; or else you might end up with partial objects - missing heads, eyes, faces, bodies, shadows, etc.

if you install the patch correctly the game won't crash. it's simple to do if you have english version of Oblivion. For me it was a little bit hard 'cause I have italian version but in the end I did it and now I can be mystic elf or also dremora :D

don't put the files into the data folder.  replace the folder itself. u dont lose anything.
