Superheroes will always be cool, the problem with "Comicbooks" is the publishers can never keep there star talents ( writers and artist) in one place or company, (usually they can't pay them enough), My advice to the jaded fan, pick your favorite story arcs, print out those issues and paste them on your walls, they are gems to be cherished, and that type writing and artwork rarely can be duplicated, no "restart" can take way the joy of having the original stories from our early years!

If you think Captain America is "lame", you really don't know what you're talking about. He is a super soldier. His body is in pristine physical condition, as well as his mind being conditioned to deal with any threat that comes his way. Alone, he is as efficient as an entire team of Navy SEALs. You should really read Secret Avengers. Steve Rogers as a secret agent is deadlier than Captain America could ever be.

SOunds all fine and dandy.. but if you want super powers its all in your brain. you have to train your brain and body to do unnatural things. takes super long. most humans could hit equivalent to like super saiyen 1. when i turned 20 1/2 i hit SS3. you think its all muscles its not.my arms are skinny as F&^% im 169lbs and can bench 325 without going to gym in 2 months. but meditating to extreme levels can be dangerous. DBZ gives clues on how to be super human.

@hotcococup diet focus love pride hate emotions discipline anger just a mixture of things.. Humans (Americans mainly) are inferior by choice. I don't drink I don't smoke I don't do drugs I don't eat fast food. Guys wonder why they can never get ripped.. maybe because alcohol kills your muscle tissue and brain cells dumb ass. maybe because you can't breathe as well because of those cigarettes or blunts you smoke. Maybe its mcdonalds frozen meat or tomatoes or processed fries in your stomach. :)

First of all, I didn't insult you so don't insult me, DUMB ASS. Second of all, I am a 15 year old girl, so NO I do not smoke or drink. I wouldn't dream of it, I once had alcohol and it was horrible. Smoking is just stupid. I rarely eat fast food because my mom always cooks at home. So don't start assuming shit. And I would LOVE to see you go SS3. Just because you're some type of vegan or some shit doesn't make you superior.

@hotcococup I wasn't insulting you I was just saying that about guys who go to the gym. I stopped going because I realized there's no point. I'm 3 percent body fat just sleeping eating and working once in a while lol. Trust me your diet does shape who you are.

Wrong!!! Anyone who lays down his life for his fellow man , with no reward or gain , IS A SUPERHERO. The fact that you do not believe in the concept of risking your safety and health to help a stranger just proves that you are a coward . Heroes are real . But, it's quite beyond most people to comprehend the concept of simply helping someone , even though it may cost your life. Jesus told his Apostles ; "The greatest gift a man can give is to lay down his life for another " Superman is Jesus !!

Would you lay down your life for a complete stranger? Would you fight crime, for no monetary reward, no real glory , since no one really knows who you are ; would you give up any kind of social life , just to take some bumps and bruises , for people that, for the most part, look at you with fear and hate? A superhero would , and that alone is what makes them unique. Not powers or gimmicks; just the willingness to lay down their lives to help their fellow man.

@hotcococup The whole concept of the hero fighting against an overpowering enemy goes back to the roots of our mythos, Gilgamesh, Beowulf, etc. Superman is way closer to Moses than Jesus though being as he was invented by a couple of Jewish kids and is symbolic of the whole 'stranger in a strangeland' immigrant motif.

Spider-man would never beat up Captain America. Spider-man practically worships the ground Steve Rogers walks on. If you're saying Cap isn't the greatest "hero" simply because his strength/power rating then you may as well jump straight to the cosmic entities like the Living Tribunal, Nightmare or even Galactus. Either of those 3 could kill captain america, wolverine or any other non cosmic-powered entity in a one-on-one fight.
