Exactly right, Neizlubr, the whole American system is structured to keep a very small minority obscenely wealthy and the rest, up to and including the middle classes, always on the edge of economic disaster, into which they are channeled to fall periodically.
It is a form of Social Darwinism, but it is not survival of the fittest as so many Capitalists think.

The US hypercaltialist Right Wing constructs myth after myth and then promulgates them,.all to successfully, to an isolated and uneducated American population.
The Japanese, who learned quality control from an American the Americans themselves ignored, have no problem training happy, efficient American workers in their US plants.
That is because the Japanese, though superficially Capitalists, have a much different attitude to good workers than American Capitalists have ever had.
The problem is American management, which has been totally incompetent for decades.
5) If china ever stops buying U.S. debt U.S. ruling elite will transfer millions of jobs from china 2 other nations and tax chinese imports, chinas economy will collapse 6) The U.S. elite has for decades moved U.S. jobs and factories 2 china to make it a dependent puppet nation. The U.S. (nation in general, not the elite) was much stronger without chinese imports, but china was nothing without U.S. exports. china needs U.S., U.S. doesnt need china! The elite that prop up china are soon finished!
Few in the western world, and particularly in the US, have any idea of the absolute monumentality of what the Chinese Communists--for all their flaws--have accomplished in mainland China.
chinas economic growth (which is much less in reality than the communist state controlled media would have the world believe) is almost totally dependent on exporting cheap junk to the U.S.. We in the U.S. have reached the point where so many people are unemployed, or have no extra spending money to buy things from china that they dont need that as the economy in the U.S. (and europe) goes even deeper into recession, china will collapse. China is also on the verge of violent revolution.
Youre dreaming. You show just how ignorant you are when you accuse me of being "like the incompetents who led US off the cliff financially". I have been against the fiscal policy of the U.S. gov't and insane spending by U.S. consumers. Why cant you understand that the very vehicle china has used to grow its economy is out of gas! The U.S. consumer cannot keep china economy from collapsing and chinas people are sick of communist tyranny and will revolt soon as unemployment increases.
The American elite has failed to make China a puppet nation for the USA.
The American government is in more than one trillion dollars of debt to the Chinese.
The Chinese economy is not in recession unlike the USA.
China has many export destinations other than the USA which keep her growing economically.
The Chinese nation was much stronger culturally without American imports, given its richer history and civilisation, spanning a much greater period of development than the west.
Mainland China is now on the next step while the US financial and economic incompetents are living in a fantasy world and trying to restore status quo ante, which is like trying to rebuild castles in the air.
US Capitalism is both Calvinist and anti-cultural.
Through the 20th Century it not only, in the British mode, actively tried to destroy all other cultures around the world, including China's (ironically even the Confucianism seen on Taiwan), it also nullified the possibility of any genuine US culture.
"[Sen. Patty] Murray said the talks also touched on North Korea and Iran, where Beijing has played a mediating role.
The U.S. side also spoke out against a new Chinese government purchasing plan that gives priority to goods that use Chinese intellectual property, a business worth tens of billions of dollars, Murray said...."
That plan requires sellers of high-tech products to have them accredited based on "indigenous innovation."
"Policies like that that are spelled out that way and become barriers to them will mean that the Chinese themselves won't get access to very important innovation and job creation," she said.
"They were defensive," Murray said of the Chinese response. "I'm not surprised about that. I also know that if you don't bring it up and say this is important to us then there won't be any changes and they won't recognize that."
Your assertion that China's economic growth is only dependent on American importation of Chinese goods is very narrow-minded.
China's economic growth is fuelled not only by domestic consumption and domestic supply on a massive nationwide scale. It is also fuelled by strategic economic empire building activities in a number of countries that sell natural resources to China.
Pure bullcrap! You people that buy into this shit need to have your heads examined! 1)The vast majority of chinas population lives in abject poverty 2)virtually all of the technology china has it got from the U.S. which means that when the U.S. sells china weapons technology it has already developed superior systems to the ones being sold 3)chinas economic growth was based on selling Americans cheap crap they dont need 4) china was blackmailed into buying U.S. debt to keep import taxes low
1) More and more Chinese are living in the comfort of the growing middle and upper classes. Simultaneously, more and more Americans are slipping into abject poverty.
2) Your claim that virtually all of the technology obtained by China came from the USA is wrong. A great deal of the technology in China was obtained from domestic manufacturing.
For military technology, the Chinese government avoids buying American weapos in favour of Russian ones.
3) China's economic growth was not only based on American importation of Chinese goods. The computer you are using is probably made in China. The same applies to your microwave, radio, home phone, etc. So your offensive remark about "cheap crap" from China shows how ignorant and arrogant you are.
4) USA owes China trillions of dollars while america is in a serious recession whereas China is in healthy economic shape.
The Trade deficit is the most serious problem facing America. The solutions are not being pursued. One Trillion Dollars in Debt to China should shake you right down to your "under god."
The time of production, commodity-time, is an infinite accumulation of equivalent intervals. It is the abstraction of irreversible time, all of whose segments must prove on the chronometer their merely quantitative equality. This time is...its exchangeable character. In this social domination by commodity-time, "time is everything, man is nothing; he is at most the carcass of time"... This is time devalued, the complete inversion of time as "the field of human development."
"The nooses have been fashioned by the Americans themselves and by nobody else, and it is they themselves who have put these nooses round their own necks, handing the ends of the ropes to the Chinese people, the peoples of the Arab countries and all the peoples of the world who love peace and oppose aggression. The longer the U.S. aggressors remain in those places, the tighter the nooses round their necks will become..."
I think I speak for everyone when I say: "Dude shut the fuck up already. You don't need to make multiple responses to ever comment you see and you don't need to leave a comment so you're always at the top you egomaniac. You must have a lot of time on your hands."
Such metamorphoses--from North Atlantic Treaty Organization to NATO to North Adriatic Treaty Organization to NATO to North Afghanistan Treaty Organization to....
"...with Bill Clinton's Presidential campaign in 1992, Third Way thinking is reshaping progressive politics throughout the world. Inspired by...Clinton and the New Democrats, Tony Blair in Britain led a revitalized New Labour party back to power in 1997. The victory of Gerhard Shroeder and the Social Democrats in Germany the next year confirmed the revival of center-left parties which either control or are part of the governing coalition forming throughout the European Union...."
Interesting comments, mopsius. I know WSWS has done analysis of Balkins War and Iraq War, not sure about together.
Map of "percolating zone of violence" in Eurasia, under US control, spells a lot. Depleted U travels the globe on air currents.
The U.S. could never back Pol Pot. He was an abomination. But China could. -
Zbigniew Brzezinski, after he asked China to back Pol Pot (Nixon's detente?), while CIA was covertly backing Pol Pot's army in Thailand with "humanitarian aid".
I like the water analogy lol but who is this mopsius he or she just cant seem to shut up?
my father said china will become the next super power along time ago and when i saw blade runner for the first time, were they speak across between English and Chinese i thought he might be right
As far as one knows no one has done a detailed analysis of what the US/NATO attack on Yugoslavia and the US invasion and occupation of Iraq had in common in regard to purpose, and so forth.
The externals seem very different and yet there wasa common theme.
Perhaps only a Marxian is capable of a stance objective enough to get to the bottom of it.
In both cases it was Capitalist aggression of the sort of what occurred in western Europe immediately after WWII.
Some of the Europeans had to be in on the basic game plan, which has now been extended to Afghanistan, though that case is quite different in conception.
The Third Way is just another version of Finance Capitalism operating as theater.
There is no real compromise with the Left and the "socialistic" aspects are tightly curbed and defined in a strictly Capitalist milieu.
The fly in the ointment is that none of these Europeans had any idea how much a house of cards the whole US financial scheme is, nor how pitiful the real economy.
Oh really? What do we have instead, the Chinese dream? Europe has, and will continue to whether the storm, we have a higher quality of life on this continent than anywhere else in the world, the largest most advanced market (the E.U) in the world and our Mixed socialism-capitalism system is more looked up to than that of America.
If this is dead, may I ask you, what will replace it?
Please, whatever about what NATO is doing in Afghanistan is beside my point(although, in my holy opinion, it does not seem wholly malicious). Europe is the richest most stable place in the world and I believe faces far fewer problems than China, India, Russia and the U.S.
What were NATO troops doing in Georgia, malleableconcrete, up to and including the day of Saakashvili's sneak attack on Russian peacekeepers and civilians in Osetia?
Hehe, I have seen your little discussion. I do agree with him on most of the issues, but over to your question... No, I'm not saying that. In fact, I mean the wars in the Middle East should never have taken place, at least not the Iraq war. But as for Yugoslavia, one cannot run from the fact that it was a living hell going on there, and that NATO secured the area. However, I doubt that is possible in neither Afghanistan or Iraq. Soviet failed to secure Afghanistan, so will the west it seems...
There's alot more to this continent than NATO and a Dane, Mopsius, Maybe someday you'll see that. I'm talking about the way of life, the principles and ideas that make this place great.
Besides, how can you inflate the bombing of Yugoslavia as close to genocide(despite the fact that it was because the Serbs wouldn't play ball in stopping their violent, repressive rule in Kosovo), yet politely ignore the hundreds of thousands killed in that country's barbaric actions over that decade?
Hey you got me wrong on the whole NATO thing, As soon as Europe pulls out of unnecessary foreign distractions the better, But don't expect me to change my opinion that Europe fundamentally is a Great place.
Go back to your Ultra-left fantasy world if you must, don't forget to tell me how well the dream turned out under Mao, Stalin and Castro, and how it continues to unfold as China enters its most critical phase.
Didnt see the film and have no plans to, Now please answer the question i posted and stop wasting time with your weird diversions and non-sequiturs, seriously what the fuck do films have to do with this argument over the quality of the European way? You don't even know what you're arguing about do you? I'm not here so you can piss about displaying you're ten cent film studies diploma, and if you can't talk about anything relevant then lets just knock off this whole thing.
Okay then i'll take that to mean your a just sad, strange man. In this whole time you have provided no alternative to this system you so despise, so I'm calling this one off.
the rise of Gog and Magog is coming our way not many people think this but it is true China is acient Gog Magog are the allies the decline of America just needs the final blow. Which is fast heading our way.
How many ILLEGAL WARS China have waged since WWII?
ANSWER: 0 (Zero)
IF i have to choose from 3 evils - I choose China. I choose the Winner I know will becoming reality. I choose China - even it's also a suppressing terrorist state like USA and Russia - but because I know that China will rule world. I will Rather to focus idea for making China better & courging chinese takes controll of China and Democracy in China for all - than saying China is enemy for all.
In regard to the Khmer Rouge both the US and China colluded in allowing the the killing fields to happen.--don't miss that aspect in your studies, PNACATTACKdotCOM.
In fact the Vietnamese invaded and put a stop to the massacres, and the invasion was formally protested by the US.
And if you can, if you se him -do me a BUG favor - and Tell DENNIS KUCINICH - that he is the greatest President Candidate in US history I have seen : )
And I'm going to help him WITH PSYOP Videos I will make (if he is a candidate) a lot 2012 IF he is a candidate then :)
Vietnamese people is a nation I'm admiring most related to their resistance against IMPERIAL and FASCIST suppression and terror - by france, USA, Australia and New Zealand - all funded by USA. And yes - against Chinese Communism version of terror too... like you mentioned ;-)
USSR Communists & Stalinists did same to Finland once too. Terrorized us.
The Vietnamese fought the Han (Imperial Chinese) for more than a thousand years before any of the rest. France was special case--for a while they made a useful counterbalance to the British in mainland China.
Later there is Ho's famous quote on making peace with the French: "Better to eat French shit for a century than Chinese shit for a thousand years."
Both Diem and Ho were Vietnamese natioanlists by the way.
From a distance the Russo-Finnish war is not so simple.
The Soviets attacked the Finns to protect Leningrad from the Germans. When the Finns fought the Russians to a standstill and guaranteed they would not give the Germans aid the Russians were glad to settle.
The Finns kept their word.
If the Finns had joined the NAZI's Leningrad would have fallen.
The Russians later acknowledged that the Finns had helped save Leningrad by refusing to join the NAZI attack on the city.
And at year 2000, National Security Archives DECLASSIFIED CIA documements revealed ALSO thatUSSR was never going to attack in Europe. It's primary goal was just maintain it's defence. ;-)
SOURCE: National Security Archive/ YLE; MOT made Documentary (I don't remember the name - but I saw it)
PS: See 1987 NATO 'WMD lies'.
Go to google video and search/watch documentary: John Pilger - War by Other Means
1923 Stalin made someind non-agression pact with Germany 1923 Pact (I don't remember now it's name/I have sources but didn't founded that now) - Stalin made possible himself that Guderian managed to train secretly Blizkrieg & other Tanks tactics with Tanks - against Treaty of Versailles - in USSR - and later against USSR. And Stalin made all this possible.
YES! They have opened most of their KGB stuff- But CIA & Bush SR &JR regimes - have even classified declassified CIA documents - and I knwo they woudl reveal too much how USA was "fighting" against Communist "treath".
Correct. And after WWII - USSR recognized this historical fact. And they respected that.
Leningrad like Moscow were never fallen also mostly - because of Hitler didn't allowed 1941 his Tanks Generals to invade Leningrad when they could have done that. And later he moved major troops from Moscow to area near Kursk.
When conservative narrow minded Corpral refuses to listen wiser generals - what else you can expect :)
The Finns are understandably not too pleased with the Soviets attacking them. But if they think Britain and France and Poland did not play a central role and fall for the shit about the Allies and such, they are as dumb as the fucking Norwegians and their boastfulness about founding NATO.
Finland is noit my country no more - Nation says no to NATO - but Elitist Right wing nuts tries to drive us there.
Also what used to be here once before SDP (Social Democratic Party) - is not any more in many cases left wing party - because cold war ended, and because workers they used to represent - their income s have raised.
Too many here have adapted the jackass culture - of embracing stupidity instead of wisdowm Ignorance instead of Caring. arrogancy instead of knowledge.
I don't' know the history related to post-WWII Norway - but are you referrring that liberation of Norway in WWII - and then founding NATO as 'Saviour' .
I know only that during WWII France evacuated their troops from Norway - when CASE YELLOW Started : )
:) Thanks for educating me - and also reminding me to study some day little about Cambodia-China relationships during the '60s -during the vietnam war.
In regard to pots, cobrajitsu, Laozi himself (or whoever is collected under that name) may have rushed directly into a chiasmus about full and empty pots.
OMG. Geisha is a Japanese tradition - not Chinese at all. But the bigger problem is that the corporate executives are selling out your dream. The corporate lobbies are making certain that American people are divided along partisan lines. Asian people have little to do with American problems beyond extending loans.
The concept has been around for 2000 years as recorded by emperors of the Han Dynasty who needed to provide female entertainment for troop amusement.[ In ancient China, many different terms given to these female entertainers, such as "gē jì" (Chinese:歌妓, literally "singing female entertainer" or "singing courtesan"), "gē jī" (Chinese:歌姬, literally "singing beauty"), "ōu zhě" (Chinese:謳者, literally "singing person"), etc."
The Geisha is now highly stylized and peculiarly Japanese but in origin there were ancient Chinese equivalents.
"Courtesan", "Singsong girls" and so forth might have made the reference more "Chinese" in flavor, but it would also have likley been misunderstood in English merely as "prostitute", for example.
America Imperialism is rampant and nothing has changed under Barack Obama. He has expanded the wars and spend trillions of dollars on more war funding. While millions of American's go hungry to the brink of starvation. Homelessness has increased with noone to help does in the streets. We haven't been living a dream we have been living a nightmare. Watching the world as it is soaked with bombs, agent orange, red, green etc. Watching as America invades and brutatily suppresses other governments.
@EmeterioBetances The American Empire continues to promote slavery. It exports its tyranny to other countrys to exploit the workers in other parts of the world. Promotes and traines soldiers in the school of the america to overthrow other countries leaders. Just so that the Empire can have a foot hold in that part of the region. Since the Monroe doctrine it has exported its slavery system. America the Imperial power has military bases all over the world. If not bases it has invaded the world.
The US also covered both Yugoslavia and Iraq with low-level radiation from the explosion of depleted uranium munitions, and the radiation will continue for thousands of years.
This has caused increased rates of cancer, birth defects, still births and so forth.
US troops were also effected. Many of the returning Gulf War vets had radiactive semen, for example, and gave cervical cancer to their wives and girlfriends in significant numbers.
The economics of depleted uranium munitions are pure hyper-capitalism at its most unscrupulous and greedy. The munitions manufacturers get the depleted uranium from the the government and then turn it into projectiles.
This has a much higher profit margin thanordinary munitions.
Depleted uranium itself is not radioactive until exploded.
With Agent Orange and other chemical agents, the use of depleted uranium munitions is clearly a heinous war crime
Our government has been raping us for over 90 years. They raise taxes which drives our economy to foreign countries like China. You could almost say that our politicians work for the Chinese government.
I always thought that it is a good thing for countries like China to be economically strong. It is what Americans have been preaching to the world for fifty years. Now that they can do things better than us, we should get pissed off?
American Dream? Do people still think that exists. How arrogant! Americans will always WANT to believe that we are the good guys and we mean well, but that isn't true. Americans needs to stop being a spoiled brat and grow the hell up!
you know whats depressing? america CHOOSES not to fix this problem. the only reason china is the worlds leading economic super power we placed all of OUR jobs there to "make better quality products at lower prices" lower prices yes better quality? my shit is a better car engine/ toy/ tv than china made objects. if you want to know how to fix a big blow on the economey... HOW ABOUT U START TO CHANGE OFF TO AMERICAN MADE AGAIN. with that u give the employees better wages and they buy your products
"Among Brezhnev's legacy to his successors was the December 1979 decision to intervene in Afghanistan, where a communist regime was struggling with the US-sponsored Islamist insurrection and other forces to hold power. This decision was not taken by the Politburo, but by Brezhnev's inner circle at an informal meeting. It led to the sudden end of the détente era, with the imposition of a grain embargo by the U.S., exacerbating the Soviet economic problems."
Well good for China, now the whole world will bitch to THEM when shit hits the fan, and can get pissed at THEM for being awesome, and can accuse THEM of being ignorant assholes, and we (America) can kinda retire and fix our economy and shit.

I have been against the fiscal policy of the U.S. gov't and insane spending by U.S. consumers. Why cant you understand that the very vehicle china has used to grow its economy is out of gas! The U.S. consumer cannot keep china economy from collapsing and chinas people are sick of communist tyranny and will revolt soon as unemployment increases.
radon1234567 2 years ago

That is true, radon1234567.
For the rest you are lost at sea.
The Chinese economy is not collapsing at all.

SunshinyChengChaiYee 2 years ago
Exactly right on all points, SunshinyChenChaiYee.
Mainland China is now on the next step while the US financial and economic incompetents are living in a fantasy world and trying to restore status quo ante, which is like trying to rebuild castles in the air.
mopsius 2 years ago
US Capitalism is both Calvinist and anti-cultural.
Through the 20th Century it not only, in the British mode, actively tried to destroy all other cultures around the world, including China's (ironically even the Confucianism seen on Taiwan), it also nullified the possibility of any genuine US culture.

"[Sen. Patty] Murray said the talks also touched on North Korea and Iran, where Beijing has played a mediating role.
The U.S. side also spoke out against a new Chinese government purchasing plan that gives priority to goods that use Chinese intellectual property, a business worth tens of billions of dollars, Murray said...."

mopsius 2 years ago
That plan requires sellers of high-tech products to have them accredited based on "indigenous innovation."

The same Murray is urging the Chinese to revalue the yuan, which will decrease the value of their USD holdings.

As if the mainlanders will fall for this?
mopsius 2 years ago
China does not need the USA!
The USA is in deep economic crisis.
Its economy is set to decline!
SunshinyChengChaiYee 2 years ago
Pure bullcrap! You people that buy into this shit need to have your heads examined! 1)The vast majority of chinas population lives in abject poverty 2)virtually all of the technology china has it got from the U.S. which means that when the U.S. sells china weapons technology it has already developed superior systems to the ones being sold 3)chinas economic growth was based on selling Americans cheap crap they dont need 4) china was blackmailed into buying U.S. debt to keep import taxes low
radon1234567 2 years ago
The vast majority of Chinese are peasants--that is true--maybe 92% currently.
Beyond that you have your head up your ass, radon123456.
One Chinese peasant is physically and mentally equivalent to, say, forty US suburbanites.
mopsius 2 years ago
1) More and more Chinese are living in the comfort of the growing middle and upper classes. Simultaneously, more and more Americans are slipping into abject poverty.
2) Your claim that virtually all of the technology obtained by China came from the USA is wrong. A great deal of the technology in China was obtained from domestic manufacturing.
For military technology, the Chinese government avoids buying American weapos in favour of Russian ones.
SunshinyChengChaiYee 2 years ago
3) China's economic growth was not only based on American importation of Chinese goods. The computer you are using is probably made in China. The same applies to your microwave, radio, home phone, etc. So your offensive remark about "cheap crap" from China shows how ignorant and arrogant you are.
4) USA owes China trillions of dollars while america is in a serious recession whereas China is in healthy economic shape.

It would make very interesting reading.

The Soviet archives are now open and there is much that exposes the absurdity of much western propaganda.
The Soviets were also not interested in he Baltic nations either except that they saw them as wedge for the Germans.
mopsius 2 years ago
The most important aspect now open in the archives is why and how Stalin made the pact with Hitler.
He wanted to ally with France and Britain against Germany but they played games.
Then the Russians could not get the Poles to agree to let the Red Army cross Poland to fight the NAZI's.
Solution--divide up Poland with Hitler, which gave the Stalin time and a buffer against the German attack they knew would come.

In all this most Poles still don't seem to realize it was the British and Churchill who really sold them out.

[wiki]
mopsius 2 years ago
The Geisha is now highly stylized and peculiarly Japanese but in origin there were ancient Chinese equivalents.
"Courtesan", "Singsong girls" and so forth might have made the reference more "Chinese" in flavor, but it would also have likley been misunderstood in English merely as "prostitute", for example.

First Gulf War vets also have a huge and unsual mortlaity rate, which the Bush and Cheney adminsitration tried to cover up.

I always thought that it is a good thing for countries like China to be economically strong. It is what Americans have been preaching to the world for fifty years. Now that they can do things better than us, we should get pissed off?
We deserve what's coming.

American Dream? Do people still think that exists. How arrogant! Americans will always WANT to believe that we are the good guys and we mean well, but that isn't true. Americans needs to stop being a spoiled brat and grow the hell up!

Every group thinks that they are the good guys, it's part of human psychology (would you join a self-loathing club?).
As far as the 'American dream', as an American I have never had any idea what that's supposed to be.

Fuck off HADESRULES44--you're living in a dream world, along with the Paulistas.
The Corporate elite and the Finance Capitalists don't even know where to look for markets or how to supply them.
They and the Right Wing have to be liquidated, as the bad assets they are.

And to a certain extent "American quality products" is also a myth.

Management and the Finance Capitalists began the destruction of the US auto industry in the 1950's.

It has been fifty years of ingrainned, sysmatic incompetence by the elite of all sectors.
In fact being a part of the elite now requires that one pass a battery of incompetence tests.
Most of the questions are right out of 1984.

The first Capitalist post-industrialization revolution was Germany, in which the Communists were coopted by the National Socialists.
The US now looks a lot like Austro-Hungary in collapse.
Apparently the Right Wing and the Corporate Fascists are dead set on Weimar.
That should be hilarious.
All the dislocation without any of the fun. And then--well, you fuckheads decide.

Everyone makes mistakes--the old Soviets made Brezhnev.
mopsius 2 years ago
"Among Brezhnev's legacy to his successors was the December 1979 decision to intervene in Afghanistan, where a communist regime was struggling with the US-sponsored Islamist insurrection and other forces to hold power. This decision was not taken by the Politburo, but by Brezhnev's inner circle at an informal meeting. It led to the sudden end of the détente era, with the imposition of a grain embargo by the U.S., exacerbating the Soviet economic problems."
