I'm pretty sure that when I was standing with some other beginners in a ball room in Houston listening to Dawn Hampton tell me what Lindy was about she never said "Lindy Hop is made up of a specific set of moves and if you were to do anything else you'd no longer be dancing Lindy Hop." Also, Jason from that video had just finished dancing with her.

I liked the dance - the Lindy style was more bluesy (reminded me of old Portland days). I think I even saw some West Coast Swing signature moves pop up in there - Jordan and Tatiana anybody? The dancers looked good - thanks for the share.

i dissagree entirely. 1. the tempo and the music itself does not lend it to tricks. and 2. tricks are exactly how they're named. "tricks" meant to trick you that they make good dancing. the beauty of this dance is that it doesnt require and shouldn't have them. the style and musicality are great, and its just plain fun. tricks are for kids my young freind.
