  • Bill Shatner is sometimes so misunderstood. I would recommend anyone to read his autobiography " Up 'til now". Fascinating and funny in equal measures. great to read the thoughts of the man who's been such a hero of mine!

  • People talk shit on Shattner but we owe these guys a lot. My childhood has heroes. =)

  • That's fascinating. Come get some Catspit~! ☠

  • Nimoy has spoken.

  • Nimoy should have said, "Dad, to make a living playing the accordion is HIGHLY ILLOGICAL!"

  • i'm william shatner. I can get anything

  • It's so great seeing them together.

  • Is this THEE Bill Shatner official youtube page? Wow. This is the closest I will come to greatness. Subscribed.

  • Thank you for the upload William.

You are an amazing man lived an amazing life.

Your life made a difference and billions of people on this planet know you as an icon that once gave hope to the average human being able to venture into space.

It is just a shame that the USA had to pull such a hoax when Hollywood put a man on the moon ....rather than NASA

  • shatner look damn god for his age. mad f

good. my wife thought he was 60 lol...

  • I LOVE, admire and respect the both of you guys!!!

It's GREAT to see you together!!!

    \õ/

  • The Shatner Project is a really great idea, and whatever about mistakes of egoism in the past Mr shatnerr is now allowing us all to benefit from the wisdom and maturity. acquired over many years as a performing artist and observer of the human condition

  • I want some of those fake ears Nimoy's wearing -- oh wait, they're real. :|

  • you'll be running around with gypsies and vagabonds. . .

Wow Nimoy's father was a bigoted ass

  • When Nimoy came to CSULB and spewed his garbage, I was one of the students who spat on him. Too bad we can't do the same for Shatner now. He never WAS and never WILL be Captain Kirk. Let both of the atheist scum burn forever in the Lake of Fire.

  • @ClyneDDW WTF

  • @ClyneDDW Why would you say something like that? Those two are AWSOME people and I would just die to meet them! So stop being a douche

  • @ClyneDDW thanks for once again proving how someone with a particular religion "loves" his fellow man and treats everyone with respect

lol atheists are better christians then those who claim to be "christian" and spew the type of nazi style shit from their mouth, go fuck yourself biggot, your so called "lake of fire" probably has a spot in the deep end with your name on it.

  • He isn't just a great actor but hes a great interviewer as well.

  • I like listening to those two talk.. just talk,... I don't care what about.

  • They're speaking again! I am so happy now!

  • @condemned75 they werent speaking for a while??

  • @genericusername337 Nah, I made a mistake. I forgot it was George Takei and Shatner that fell out. Hope they patch things up before it's too late.

  • Bill! You are far too sexy in your intro. Quit!

  • civilisation quotes going into my head lol

  • All Hail The Shatner.

  • So this is the guy who voiced Galvatron?

  • Is it me or does he not know how to tie his ties?

  • Live long and prosper, Leonard.

  • They can never make another Srar Trek as great as the originals. Never, ever!

  • Shatner's an intellectual, a true soul striving for what's intelligent, and what's optimal and what's right. He stood up to racism on TV, before anyone else, and showed the love... He's a kurzweil supporter, and an extropian. Smart guy. ...I wonder if he also supports jury rights, and jury nullification of law. I'd love to see him extend his legacy by sticking up for the voluntaryists and the free keene crowd, with FIJA and Steve Kubby.

  • Leonard Nimoy must be the coolest name ever...just the way it sounds it stais in your head

  • @mongolenpup Oh, yeah, because in russian Nimoy means "dumb" (speechless, voiceless, etc.) :)

  • Learn to play an accordion.....AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....

  • Two lucky actors who finally realize how lucky they have been.

  • Leonard Nimoy always makes me smile, just by looking at him and I have a smile on my face.

  • It's amazing how well people age when they have money! Think I can get some of that and rub it all over my face too?

  • If you averaged the two, you'd have a guy with a pretty good body.

  • This is gonna be Smaug's voice?

  • @CurlyAce100

I think that's just rumor right now. But yes, he's rumored to be Smaug's voice.

  • Shatner looks more youthful, but I think Nimoy looks healthier. They've both aged well, albeit in different way.

  • I'm not sure if I enjoy this show for the guest's stories or shatner's overreactive reactions "oh my! OH! ... MY!"

  • yep...could be twins except for the pointy ears

  • Actually, Shatner and Nimoy are the same age

  • @yesroh there also born on the same month. 4 days apart

  • You can always make a living with an accordion.

  • @instereovideos Except his old man lied - I've had an accordion (that I know how to play) for a long time, and that's no way to make a living. About the only thing you can do with it is threaten to play until they pay you to go away.

  • dentures.

  • Its the "hair"

  • I love my birthday b/c I share it with Len - March 26th. I tell people that I share my birthday with Mr. Spock. =)

    They are doing great.

  • @legalglitz March 26 is my birthday, too. Same with Diana Ross...

  • Some at 50 look worse than Shattner...

  • @bbenjoe Some? Some?! A lot more than some!

  • @bbenjoe so so true.

  • if you have all the time in the world to look great and have money for spa treatments, injections, doctors, medicine, etc.

  • Hard to believe Nimoy and Shatner are the same age...

  • if both of these mens lives could be written down in a book..........

  • @TheSwampcritter The world would run out of paper.

  • Seeing them together always makes me so happy. So much history. xx

  • Welcome to Heaven! Here's your harp.

Welcome to Hell here's your accordion.

  • @scoob2007 The Farside! Nice!

  • Mr Nimoy has an amazing voice.

  • Lookin' good, Shat.

  • Kirk and Spock......legends !

  • zero hour, 9AM

  • @themooddisorders Haha, that damn song came up on my playlist an hour ago.

  • @themooddisorders and Im gonna be, HIGHHHHHH, as a kite by then

  • What few people know is that Nimoy is only 4 days younger than Shatner, I'm not kidding.

  • Look At that Chair Mr Shatner is sitting in at the beginning. He is Like, I AM THE CAPTAIN!

  • Out of character? Ya I think Spock is a much better person than the real Leonard Nimoy.. why they should just stay in character all the time, because their real persona's are basically a empty shell.. I think some ppl live in a dream world.

  • YAY NIMOY AND SHATNER!!! as a hardcore trekkie, I watched this episode just to see them together again, even if it was out of character. Nimoy has a great voice to listen to.

  • wow shatner looks great for almost 80 years old! better than Nimoy anyway

  • Great advice....just imagine how much richer Nimoy's life would be if he would have just taken his Dad's advice and given up on all of this acting nonsense, and taken up the accordian like any decent son would've done!!! Well I guess thats something Nimoy will regret for the rest of his life......

  • I'm so confused every time i watch shatner talk. There is something about him...like he babbles or something.

  • @dormantreign Maybe smoking less weed would help.

  • @dormantreign I feel the same way. I can't figure it out. It's like in almost every pseudo-recent interview he just kind of rants and goes off on tangents about things. Amusing but disturbing...

  • my grin was so wide but when he mentioned accordions my smile grew.

  • Greatness!

  • Why does this remind me of Johnny Carson/ Ed McMahon. This sort of chemistry can't be faked.

  • make a living with an accordion? damn, ive never seen an accordionist working and making money, only playing somewhere in the subway for 25c an hour

  • Long live both of them.

  • The excerpt is SO good! PLEASE release the whole interview...it's one of the best things I've ever seen, anywhere! 1:04-1:06 --"....In case you have to run"....such a sad comment. I hope the world has grown up -- and if it has, I'm sure that STAR TREK has had a lot to do with it! 2:37 ibwards,,,I hope that "sometime" will be SOON!

  • Wow....just thought how great it would be to have a "re-quil" of an older Kirk and an Older Spock, who come out of retirement to help the Federation out of a jam that no younger people can handle. (As the population IS ageing in reality, this would be a real hit!) Bring to the fore a TShirt saying I once saw: "Inside every older person is a younger person wondering, "What the heck happened"? : )

  • Oh that is Shatners own channel!:) Hi Bill, sorry for triple posting...

  • But besides that listening to Leonard Nimoy is so easy, one could really watch a full 2 hour interview without a break, including Nimoy taking the glass of water every 15 minutes....

  • I would like to see how he actually says what he really thinks about the new Kirk actor and that whole change of timeline...I think that is like sell-out without that one could justify it in any way or commerce or art. It is like a rip of what Shatner and his guys achieved with 6 movies and the series before. I simply do not like it. I know Nimoy support it and from his point of view I understand why, there I even like the change but combining all, the new timeline becomes a sideeffect only.

  • I wish Bill would drop a few pounds for the same reason I wish my Dad would: I just love him dearly and I want to keep him around. Nimoy on the other hand looks pretty healthy and I certainly love him too....and his awesome "history channel voice".

  • My two living heros. No joke, one of my first few memories were of Star Trek movies my Mom took me too. I remember seeing Star Trek III when I was about four. Thank you for being great role models for young kids like me. I know it was and is just a show, but the ideals and values rival anything the Bible can teach. Thank you sir.

  • Thumps up of you believe that Leonard Nimoy has almost exactly the same voice of Peter O'Toole

  • We the people need to run OBamster out of office……

  • It's insane how much he looks like my dad. Especially in that stripped shirt. My mum married my dad because he looked like Captain Kirk.

  • he looks like he's in his 40's

  • These stories are mind blowing.

  • Dear William, its very difficult to describe how wonderful you played your role as James T Kirk. Your work is a true treasure of entertainment which is also full of positive and hopeful messages. uniquely-unique, that is so very rare.

It's great to see you well and best of luck with your new ventures.

  • shat, the big end of your tie is shorter then the skinny end.

  • Holy crap, I can´t believe he´s almost 78 in this video. He looks like he´s in his 50´s.

  • Max level. When you reach it you stop levelling.

  • @fireangel32 proof that laughter is the best medicine haha

  • it's the treatments.

  • @fireangel32 wheennn you're young at heaaarrtt

  • @fireangel32 dont you mean 80 lol

  • @fireangel32 Its because he IS James T. Kirk...

  • @fireangel32 Yeah, trouble is he sucked even THEN!

  • @fireangel32 Too true! I thought he was just around 65-70, but... damn! The Shatner ages well!

  • @nealadams70 William Shatner IS captian Kirk! you will never be able to replace him. OR ANY OF THE OTHERS! The original is the best and will dominate all!

  • @chuckyfreak I wont replace them sir......PARAMOUNT WILL

  • Comment removed

  • @Cioara. Ummm. no.

  • nimoy was the best on this show the rest were boring

  • I enjoy both of them so much but really....Shatners reactions are completeky OTT. What was it that Nimoy said that was sooo interesting for christ sake

  • @ltkindermann It was probably interesting hearing things you've never heard before from somebody who you have known for over 40 years. Just because you didn't find it interesting doesn't diminish the value of anything that was said.

  • @BeardShorts I think it can well be interesting to hear something new about someone you've "known" for so many years providing that something is interesting, For Shatner to become so animated at the idea that Ninoy's parents wanted him to get a "safe" job instead of becoming an actor stretched credibility just a tad. I mean it's hardly a scoop or a deep dark secret is it?

There's hardly an actor out there who wouldn't same the same thing.

  • I used to like Shatner a lot, well at least the characters he has portrayed. There's something that comes out in the videos I've been watching of him on youtube that just rub me the wrong way. I can't put my finger on it, but there's something/several things about him that really bother me.

  • @sarek363 I think he's self-obsessed. I honestly believe he has a difficulty accommodating just anout anybody else. Pretty much all of the original cast suggested as much too. Very entertaining but maybe not someone to be around or work with.

  • i love shatner's voice....

  • I wonder if George Takei has been on this show? If not then I hope he's on the final episode just so Shatner can open with: "Tonight George Takei has gotten on my last nerve."

  • mr. Shatner is still hot :))

  • Never fails to amaze me how shallow some of us can be that we'll turn a cold shoulder to a fellow human being, just because they're "fat." People will ignore all the contributions of a person just because they gained some weight. Sad.

  • I'm going to kick your dogs ass twice as hard because of that

  • I'm going to kick your dogs ass twice as hard because of that

  • should be called "last nerve"

  • This clip gave me insight into both men. Wonderful and thank you.

  • Thanks Leonard and William for your inspiration and your talent. You are BOTH one of a kind. Unforgettable! I grew up with your greatness! Love it!

  • It doesn't matter if Bill got fat.Don't you look at him?You can't belive he's 79!

  • Fat!!!

  • interesting couch formation on his show

  • I love those two so very much! I could watch everything they do. I recently saw a movie with william shatner and yul bryenner. Loved it. So much talent and swagger in those two men.

  • @babasmomma

    what film ?

  • Very interesting vid. Nimoy and Mr. Shatner could almost be in a trek episode here, so similar to their classic characters, just spending time talking as friends. Great stuff.

  • He's like an ego in suspenders.

  • @calvinisidore So's yer mom.

  • watching this, I keep flashing back to the Death of Spock scene

    :_(

  • Shatner doesn't look anywhere near 78. I was surprised thats how old he is.

  • Seriously. Hope I look that young at 78.

  • @Polyfusia It's called botox.

  • @Polyfusia at this time of my comment, him and Mr. Nimoy are both 79. Neither of them really look like it. Crazay.

  • @Polyfusia scary reality is... Star Trek started over 40 years ago

  • @workstrength Stranger still is that it has withstood the test of time, as I, only 21 years old, loves the show.

  • @Polyfusia Captain Kirk's Gonna Live Forever!

  • @Polyfusia It's because he's fat. Fat people's faces don't get drawn and haggard looking like thin people.

  • Star Trek is on weeknights here locally. Even though Ive seen each episode 15 times through the yrs, flipped it on the other night and again got hooked. Shatner / Roddenberry are brilliant. Shatner = Kirk. In that role, he was brilliant (yes, with all the quirks - thats what made it the best TV show of all time). Ok, is that just a bit too opinionated?

  • People are strange.

  • I'm so glad this conversation exists.

  • Hey mastersoldier!

If you don't like him, don't watch the damn video!!

  • both are legends

  • shatner will always be the real kirk!

racism is the highest form of stupidity.

  • Shatner will always be the original Kirk. There is no real Kirk. ;)

  • Just a heads up to fellow people like me,

TheHauptsturmfuhrer is a white supremacist--just look at his profile page.

TO TheHauptsturmfuhrer: I'd like to say that if all you have to say is racists comments, don't f**** post them!

    thanks....

I love Shatner and Nimoy--although Nimoy is my personal favorite =D

  • lol his name is Will!

  • you have to give guys like shatner ,nimoy and Adam West their respect to still be viable celebrities/personalities long after others have retired or been forgotten..!

  • You're probably not even worth responding to, but on the chance that you are; there are hundreds of authors, composers, artists, philosophers, and actors who are Jewish and have contributed invaluable material to society. Einstein, JD Salinger, Charlie Chaplin, etc. Get your facts straight. By the way, my grandfather was a colonel in the German infantry in WWII, and he appreciated the work of Jews. You're just a sad nobody looking for an oulet for your anger. Moron.

  • @SimonCondywust I'm not Jewish doesn't get the whole religion thing but no question there's a lot of envy behind anti-semitism. Losers who will never be rich and/or famous and otherwise want to be just hate hate hate that so many Jews can make it to the top. Losers like HItler who was a mediocre artist and blamed Jews for his own failures.

  • @TheHauptsturmfuhrer moron posting moronic things for morons who take such moronic things seriously

  • The Shatman.

  • LOL @ Shatner's tie.

  • The Founders weren't saints: they had wives, mistresses & promoted the pirating of His Majesty's ships. There was a thriving black market in the Colonies that John Hanson & John Jay did quite well with. These men always claimed to be Protestant Christians. There are many quotes floating about fr. private correspondence & taken out-of-context seemingly conveying "atheistic" notions. So? All men are blasphemers, all men are roguish, yet not 1 of these men claimed "atheism" as their Faith.

  • I was waiting for Shatner to ask

"I was just curious, how much do you pay for airline tickets?"

  • damn i want to meat wil shatner once in my life.

i liked him since i was a child and saw first star trek .. guess it was the motion picture.. cant remember anymore what was the first star trek in my life..

but i think he was the perfect actor for kirk.

and no pine can ever catch up. never -e-v-e-r

  • @rudeEMOboi let's say it louder NO PINE CAN EVER CATCH UP! And No Quinto either for that matter

  • o yah what a hell of a guy i've been fascinated with his brilliant antics for years funny sumbitch

  • Fat or skinny i allways liked William. So he got fat, big deal. This guy is also a great human being, that´s what counts IMHO..

  • @brynner2 Well fat usually means well in older people. So he's healthy and enjoying life. good

  • @brynner2 i'm wondering if he's on some kinda pain medication, i know ppl who where skinny all their life, get in their 60's and the pain meds pork it on. if i'm not mistaken jerry lewis is another one like that

  • Don't be a fucking shill for Moritz and Griffin and those other quacks. And quit spamming.

  • captain kirk/william shatner: a great character on and off the set
