@ChamarRadloff Either by using the USB, a service like Dropbox or just email it to yourself. Keep in mind that Android and the .gif format don't always play well together.... especially if you want to use an animated Gif as a wallpaper.

@angelboilost When you send a text it doesn't send your contact pic with it. The pictures next to the incoming texts are set by the Address book on the phone of the person receiving the text. So, for example... if my friend Steve had a picture of a gorilla set for my contact on his phone, every time he gets a text from me he'll see the pic of the gorilla, no matter what picture I want him to see.
How would I go about changing my photo when sending a text message? @StraightUpScott I've never used the Chic, but it should be the same... Go to Message Center -> Menu -> Settings-> scroll down to Notification Settings -> under Vibrate select Always or only When Silent depending on what you want.

I have an LG Optimus M (690). When I connect usb cable from cell phone to HP (470) which is the portable one to print photos from phone, the photos continures to look at me instead of coming through printer.
On a Sprint phone I had, all I had to do is go to photos, which asked me what size for photo to be printed on and "bam" there it is.
Is there a print feature on optimus M that I have missed?

@lackman11 Long press on the homescreen until the menu pops up -> select Widgets -> in that list you'll see an option for Google Search select that and it will give you options for what you want to use it for (Web, Apps, Contacts or All) select your choice and you'll have your Google Search bar back. @Ninjalootah Did a pic message to yourself? It could be a couple things A) The pics people are sending might be the wrong format (doubtful) B) your phone might not be provisioned correctly, in this case call Metro and have them reset your phone.

@stacemeisterr I don't think the problem is with the phone, MetroPCS has been having signal/reception issues and I've heard of a lot of people with different phones having the same issues.
As far as the Gallery being slow, do you have an album in there called Data? If so, delete it and your gallery should load faster.
when someone sends me a picture message it doesnt show it. it says download, i press download and nothing happens.... any idea what could be wrong there..??
@MrDa69er Metro has been having some data issues recently. If you can't download an attachment, try rebooting the phone and see if that helps. Other than that, you just gotta hope Metro gets these data problems solved soon.
@lindsey4h Not from the Facebook for Android app, but you can by opening the MetroWeb browser and going to Facebook that way. Then just view the pic, long press on the image until the menu pops up and select Save Image.
How come every time I get a text.. and my phone is in full sound mode.. I can only hear the text ring but it doesn't vibrate? And when someone calls it vibrates and rings.. Oh and btw is there any type of flashing light on the exterior of this phone to tell you your battery is running out? Or to tell you that you have an unread notification?
@CrazyAbe101 First, there is no external light on this phone. 2nd the text/mms ringtone has a separate setup then the call ringtone. to activate vibration for text/mms go to Message Center -> press physical Menu button -> Settings -> scroll down to and select Vibrate -> choose between Always, Only when silent or Never

@springvalley21476 in order to send a call directly to voicemail 1st add the number to your Contacts, next Select the Contact from you address book and on the 1st page press the physical Menu button and select Options. On the next page you'll see a setting for Incoming Calls Send Calls Directly to Voicemail, check the box next to it.

Some photo related apps will create their own folders in the gallery, but if you want to make your own folder simply connect your phone to your PC, browse the SD card and look for the folder DCIM You can create new folders there and, as long as there are photos in the folders, they will show up in the gallery.
i really want this phone, but is it really slow because in other videos the comments say 'i have this phone and it sucks, it takes a long time to load up', so does it really?
@kri2fly Watch some of my videos, the newest being the one on Visual Voicemail, and see how my phone runs, then keep in mind that I do have my phone rooted, but also have 62 downloaded apps installed on the phone. My phone is pretty quick, and although it is rooted it is not overclocked, I simply removed a couple pre-installed apps like MyExtras and Boingo that ran all the time in the background. The Web is slower on 1x, but may I suggest using Opera Mini when surfing on WiFi, it's much faster.
@ViiBeZiHD I got rid of the Facebook for LG app (I thought it was garbage) and downloaded the Facebook for Android app, it's still not a great app but at least they update it. To change the chat features you would need to download a new Messaging app like Handcent, Chomp or GoSMS
@Pollypocket771 yes, in contacts press Menu -> select More -> Import/Export -> Export to SD card -> select contacts you wish to save (I believe if you hit menu you get the option to Select All) and they will be saved on your SD card as a .vcf file.

@jandheartz I don't the the Facebook app will let you, but you can if you go to Facebook using the Metroweb Browser. It will most likely take you to the FB Touch site or m.facebook.com, scroll to the bottom and select "Full Site" to see the PC version of the page.
@374popo You either need to call MetroPCS to see if they can block the number or, you can add the number to your Contacts, then once added, view the Contact -> Press the physical Menu button -> select Options -> and check the box for Incoming Calls (send calls directly to voicemail)
Is there a way i can put a lock/password on my pics folder? Also, what does the bullseye icon mean in the middle on the very top in that white bar on the home screen?
@southsouthbronx The bullseye icon is telling you that the Location Service is turned on, meaning that apps like Weather can tell where you are.
I don't know of a way to lock any one folder, but you can try an app like Pinnacle Locker by Comvolution Labs... it allows you to lock any app on your phone, so you could lock the Gallery app therefor not letting anyone view your photos.

@sparklenfades When you get a MMS with both pic and sound and you save it it will save both the pic and sound in the "download" folder. You would need to either access it by plugging the phone into your PC or by having a file manager app like Android Mate.

@nmorales1356 Neither the Optimus nor Ascend have a front facing camera so, video chat doesn't really work. I've heard people say they used an app called Tango for video chat, but if neither phone has a front camera there's ot much point.
@zcandyman1225 Open the Metroweb app (browser), when the page finishes loading you'll notice the Address bar slides up. Scroll back up the page to reveal the Address bar and press the icon that looks like a star on a ribbon. Next select the History tab, then press the physical menu key and select Clear history.

when someone sends me a picture message it doesnt show it. it says download, i press download and nothing happens.... any idea what could be wrong there..??

@MrDa69er Metro has been having some data issues recently. If you can't download an attachment, try rebooting the phone and see if that helps. Other than that, you just gotta hope Metro gets these data problems solved soon.

@lindsey4h Not from the Facebook for Android app, but you can by opening the MetroWeb browser and going to Facebook that way. Then just view the pic, long press on the image until the menu pops up and select Save Image.

How come every time I get a text.. and my phone is in full sound mode.. I can only hear the text ring but it doesn't vibrate? And when someone calls it vibrates and rings.. Oh and btw is there any type of flashing light on the exterior of this phone to tell you your battery is running out? Or to tell you that you have an unread notification?

@CrazyAbe101 First, there is no external light on this phone. 2nd the text/mms ringtone has a separate setup then the call ringtone. to activate vibration for text/mms go to Message Center -> press physical Menu button -> Settings -> scroll down to and select Vibrate -> choose between Always, Only when silent or Never

@springvalley21476 in order to send a call directly to voicemail 1st add the number to your Contacts, next Select the Contact from you address book and on the 1st page press the physical Menu button and select Options. On the next page you'll see a setting for Incoming Calls Send Calls Directly to Voicemail, check the box next to it.

Some photo related apps will create their own folders in the gallery, but if you want to make your own folder simply connect your phone to your PC, browse the SD card and look for the folder DCIM You can create new folders there and, as long as there are photos in the folders, they will show up in the gallery.

@kri2fly Watch some of my videos, the newest being the one on Visual Voicemail, and see how my phone runs, then keep in mind that I do have my phone rooted, but also have 62 downloaded apps installed on the phone. My phone is pretty quick, and although it is rooted it is not overclocked, I simply removed a couple pre-installed apps like MyExtras and Boingo that ran all the time in the background. The Web is slower on 1x, but may I suggest using Opera Mini when surfing on WiFi, it's much faster.

@ViiBeZiHD I got rid of the Facebook for LG app (I thought it was garbage) and downloaded the Facebook for Android app, it's still not a great app but at least they update it. To change the chat features you would need to download a new Messaging app like Handcent, Chomp or GoSMS

@Pollypocket771 yes, in contacts press Menu -> select More -> Import/Export -> Export to SD card -> select contacts you wish to save (I believe if you hit menu you get the option to Select All) and they will be saved on your SD card as a .vcf file.

ok. i have a lg optimus m metro pcs. how do i send videos from my phone to other phones or email. i went to my messages, selected new message, then selected the menu button, then selected attach, then selected video, then i picked a video and it said sorry you cannot add this video to your collection. what do i need to do to send videos.

@jandheartz I don't the the Facebook app will let you, but you can if you go to Facebook using the Metroweb Browser. It will most likely take you to the FB Touch site or m.facebook.com, scroll to the bottom and select "Full Site" to see the PC version of the page.

@374popo You either need to call MetroPCS to see if they can block the number or, you can add the number to your Contacts, then once added, view the Contact -> Press the physical Menu button -> select Options -> and check the box for Incoming Calls (send calls directly to voicemail)

@southsouthbronx The bullseye icon is telling you that the Location Service is turned on, meaning that apps like Weather can tell where you are.
I don't know of a way to lock any one folder, but you can try an app like Pinnacle Locker by Comvolution Labs... it allows you to lock any app on your phone, so you could lock the Gallery app therefor not letting anyone view your photos.

@sparklenfades When you get a MMS with both pic and sound and you save it it will save both the pic and sound in the "download" folder. You would need to either access it by plugging the phone into your PC or by having a file manager app like Android Mate.

@nmorales1356 Neither the Optimus nor Ascend have a front facing camera so, video chat doesn't really work. I've heard people say they used an app called Tango for video chat, but if neither phone has a front camera there's ot much point.

Scroll back up the page to reveal the Address bar and press the icon that looks like a star on a ribbon. Next select the History tab, then press the physical menu key and select Clear history.
