I took my GSD to the ocean and she started swimming out so far I was afraid she would drown or get eaten by a shark. We had to go out after her. I had no idea she would do that. Now. I keep a long leash on her at the ocean. Some like water, some don't.

you have to teach any dog to swim......but labs are the best at it.

haha you dont have to teach your dog to swim! my gsd jumped right into the water and was a natural swimmer when he was about 4-5 months old.
